  1. WSJ reports the remaining hostages have been freed. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/10/13/israel-hostage-release-gaza-hamas-trump/?utm_campaign=wp_main&utm_source=bluesky&utm_medium=social
  2. This WSJ article spells out all this stuff. Nothing like a “devout Christian” who chafes at how hard it is to hide money from the government and openly admits he want to whip up the rabid knuckle draggers to stave off AI regulation.
  3. What’s next, you ask? Pardoning criminals. https://www.newsweek.com/trump-asks-israeli-president-to-pardon-netanyahu-10870201?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Bluesky#Echobox=1760357893-2
  4. Those Epstein files might well be smoking cannons, given the lengths they have gone to keep from releasing them.
  5. Huh. You think so? I am being sarcastic; I apologize. The warning light was flashing red over Thiel years ago, as his relationship with Curtis Yarwin became public information, and his vast wealth became dedicated to installing a monarch as executive of the USA. (The Vanity Fair article is from 2022). This Antichrist stuff seeks to harness the Payday Christians in an existential fight against such evils as environmentalists and other regulatory impediments. Greta Thunberg is the Devil! https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/04/inside-the-new-right-where-peter-thiel-is-placing-his-biggest-bets?srsltid=AfmBOops9xLP9Jn3qU4u0UroG2JGtUYWAuzThXvki-4kFb7lnP2l1L7T
  6. Okay, I misrepresented and misunderstood this factoid I read earlier today: https://legal.thomsonreuters.com/blog/cryptocurrency-laws/
  7. Graft is a reason.
  8. Well, if you’ll feel vindicated by partial truths, then consider the investment the family has made in bitcoin. They knew tariffs were coming, and that BTC would be affected. Bitcoins have no regulatory agency. It is ludicrous to me to argue they didn’t position themselves to benefit from the situation. It is as certain to me as the noise that is made when a tree falls in a forest. Edited to say that I realize you aren’t making that argument, and are pointing out the lack of proof. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/critics-say-trumps-policies-weaken-the-u-s-dollar-as-his-businesses-invest-in-crypto
  9. Why? You think there are lines that family won’t cross?
  10. He should tattoo it on his forehead.
  11. Here’s a bit of news that touches upon all topics in this thread. Potential for a lot of FO, FA, or not. https://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/news/cdc-rfk-jr-shutdown-layoffs-goal-rcna237035
  12. Ok. The guy, a former cop, posted turnip’s “we need to get over it” meme. About a school shooting. Folks in Tennessee thought he was making a threat against a local school. Bail set at 2 million. He was the first person charged with violating a new law that sought to address violent social media posts. His next hearing is Dec 4th. My opinion is that he won’t be convicted, but he is paying for the ride. https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/crime/2025/10/11/hearing-set-for-ex-tennessee-cop-charged-with-making-threats-after-charlie-kirk-death/86603733007/
  13. Yeah, that’s not a turnip quote. Surprised posting that is a crime in Texas, though.
  14. This story is nuts. Is this NowThis? Was he really arrested for quoting turnip? Surly minds want to know.
  15. Surly game thread: more cunts per byte.
  16. Those kids died of hunger so magats could think they put a couple of dollars a month into their pockets. What happened was even more money left their wallet, and billionaires pocketed all of it.
  17. lol at the shitheel who has made himself synonymous with medical fuckery objecting to being synonymous with medical fuckery.
  18. That was the morally correct decision. Fuck those thugs and the shitheels who enable them.
  19. If you’re gonna do it, choose a better message. O/10
