  1. Had to do an outdoor irrigation project to replace a broken irrigation pipe. 5 hours outside equals an allergy shitfest. Work needed to be done but I am now hiding inside.
  2. Curious to see what the numbers are come 2024. It’s not like Trump is going to disappear from the media if he loses in 2020. And he won’t disappear if wins either....
  3. ^^ Any reasonable probability the Dems net pickup additional seats in the House? Aka expand their majority?
  4. Lost in the wasteland we are.
  5. Popular vote does not matter. Focus on if the electoral college installs a new president. Trump will never resign.
  6. Trump will never resign. Senate will not remove him office. Yet to be determined if citizens of US will remove him via election process.
  7. Welp...this is going to be fun.
  8. I am coming around to the idea that those who worked in this WH claiming they were moderating Trump for the past 3 years have done the greatest harm to the US. Mattis,Tillerson, and others should have refused the job outright or resigned much sooner. Keeping this administration in the realm of partially dysfunctional merely extended the Trump timeline. Leaving Trump to only the boot lickers like Mulvaney and the corruption of Rudy earlier, likely would have hastened Trump’s downfall. If Trump completely came off the rails 12+ months ago...damage would have been done then. But at least the country could have had a fair assessment of Trump and potentially forced the GOP to abandon Trump. As of now...I am still not convinced the GOP will abandon Trump...but we are starting to see the smallest of cracks in their support.
  9. I can’t see a universal fracking ban ever coming to fruition...but it doesn’t take 100 pages of research to know that would be an economic recession in the making.
  10. If given the chance...the hard right GOP (not the business wing) would happily install Dan Patrick’s clone as Speaker of the House.
  11. Sullivan wants a different Speaker...somebody farther to the right? Does anyone think the Texas Democratic Party can actually use this to their advantage to pick up seats? The moderate Republicans that were listed for targeting aren’t going to abandon the GOP and they can’t be expected to support Bonnen after this. If Bonnen loses the Speaker position, does the Speakership ultimately go to someone more aligned with Sullivan?
  12. To early for a 2020 Rain Thread...but I will drop this here. Weather vendor we use at work for long term (3 month) forecasts saying that TX has increased probability for a drier than normal winter. I really hope they are wrong.
  13. He will never resign.
  14. Increased use of the death penalty?
  15. How sensitive of a snowflake are you?
  16. I know nothing about this Ross Levinson person. However the article says he is former head of LA Times. That newspaper has completely failed at its digital online strategy. If he was responsible for that failure...then I would image SI is in for some dark times.
  17. Yet somehow the US can’t figure out how to emulate this.
  18. That jury may have just restored a tiny bit of my faith in humanity. Well done.
  19. Corbyn isn’t any better to listen too than Boris. Boris hasn’t found any traction but Corbyn has no path forward either. I still don’t see how UK ultimately avoids Brexit and its consequences.
  20. We could see the stars at Lake Bastrop last night. Nobody brought a telescope. It was a disgusting 95% humidity. Made for great sleeping.
  21. Yes I have long thought that a good infrastructure project for Texas would be water piped from the coast line.
  22. Same but for cub scouts. We are camping at Cub World off lake Bastrop Saturday night.
