  1. 52-80, thinking to himself: “Even though I’ve had my ass handed to me multiple times on this thread, and the very first portal transfer to Texas disproved my entire thesis, I really think that my viewpoint is right and I will continue to argue it, no matter how dumb I look to the entire board.”
  2. It’s seems like the cost of a portal player is way more expensive than a high school recruit.
  3. It’s so wonderful to wake up this morning and realize that Texas’ three previous coaches are all ranked, including number 1, and Texas isn’t. And they’ve lost to unranked teams. Sigh.
  4. Fuck the LIV guys! Hahaha
  5. This is uncomfortably close to this:
  6. Why doesn’t everyone just admit they don’t know shit about fuck?
  7. I’ve been holding funds in hsa’s for years, invested in stocks. That is all growing tax free, with the ability to withdraw it tax free as long as it’s for medical expenses. I keep a folder of all our healthcare receipts to ensure we’ve got coverage of the dollars if and when we withdraw it. Of course, healthcare expenses become significant as you age so we are constantly having new expenses that should cover the balance in the hsa. The only downside is that I couldn’t put a ton of money in the hsa’s over the years, so there isn’t a lot of tax value. For me, having the accounts is a hassle as compared to the tax benefit. If someone could build up say $75k-100k+ in an hsa it would be a great investment vehicle. It would earn $5k-$10k per year tax free.
  8. I’ve been an ardent advocate for shooting down drones, mainly because my pheasant hunting has gotten more difficult due to declining numbers. I need new targets. I fully support drone bird season.
  9. I hear you, but caring and taking small steps is the only way for me to deal with the next four years of shit. 💩
  10. Let’s just talk about the first step: caring. Because there are a thousand different things you could do if you are fed up with corruption and/or incompetence. But as several of you have shown, you failed the first step. I’d like to hope that it’s because you’re frustrated, because I damn sure am as well. But for a few of you, it’s just pure hypocrisy, unfortunately. One example of something I’ve done on another topic (that will have no effect I’m sure) is to write my congressmen about the recent ACA changes and the importance of fixing the current issues. It will probably be a waste of time, but if 50,000 other people also wrote their congressmen, maybe something would get done. I refuse to let corruption and incompetence go completely unchecked. My New Year’s resolution is to take any small steps I can to push back on it.
  11. We talked about this two years ago. If a product like that became “the” marketplace for nil deals, over time the schools and players and marketers would get shit on by the software company, just like Uber, Ticketmaster, and every other monopoly / oligopoly marketplace. Not saying this will happen because their product isn’t great, but schools, marketers, and athletes need to think hard about how they are going to connect.
  12. I understand the anger. It’s very frustrating. But we simply can’t let the country go to hell because politicians want to make either bad decisions or corrupt decisions just because other politicians do it. One of the few things this country had going for it was the fact that its corruption and major decisions were at one point better than many (most) other countries around the world. It also gives ammunition for the corrupt to say that everyone is either corrupt or incompetent. All of these pardons are bad decisions. Period. And as citizens we should never just accept bad decisions.
  13. What the hell is going on with John Fetterman?
  14. Don’t the assets in a trust have to pay taxes when passed to descendants unless kept in a trust? Whereas assets outside the trust are stepped up in basis?
  15. Just because a crooked moron who’s unfit to be President was elected, does not mean that every politician automatically is immune from criticism.
  16. So the head of Homeland Security is confirming people are seeing drones. This isn’t a surprise to me. They are around. And he reminds everyone that the rules for flying them have changed. I don’t understand why posters in this thread are calling all people idiots. Some people are seeing drones, and there is a concern about whether there is something going on. Why is that wrong? Is it because some idiots are claiming aliens or foreign adversaries? Sure, but that doesn’t mean that every drone sighting is fake and/or automatically harmless. https://abcnews.go.com/ThisWeek/video/foreign-involvement-alejandro-mayorkas-drone-sightings-116805504.
  17. That is a lot of golf. I played 11 rounds and thought I was finally playing often. In retrospect, I haven’t.
  18. Texas 20 Clemon 13 clemson yards - 287
  19. The one thing Elko was supposedly doing right was getting rid of the attitude problems and establishing a better culture. It was why so many players left last year and he replaced them with G5 jags. But the portal moves with Hudson and now Humphrey demonstrate he panicked and just went back to the same Jimbo Fisher well: players with lots of stars and other issues. I think that’s going to backfire, big time.
  20. Ah right. They found pcl okay.
  21. He tore the LCL and PCL
  22. Saw headlines that now he’s commuted the sentence of a major fraudster in Illinois. What’s up with that?
  23. That’s a perfect replacement for Moore. I can’t think of anyone that would be as similar.
