  1. I can’t process this game. We flew all over the field on intermediate routes in the first half and didn’t do dick in the second. Sark kept calling slow developing plays, when they needed quick handoffs and quick throws. We didn’t get a chance to establish the run game because he kept calling counters and other slow developing run plays. It’s like he was scared that they couldn’t line up and run up the middle. They didn’t use Arch at all. I put this loss way more on Sark the OC than Quinn. Receivers were dropping passes all night and Quinn had to hold the ball too long for slow developing routes, causing more sacks.
  2. 4:00 minute drive, score a touchdown, hold them for the last 30/45 seconds. Win.
  3. Not conspiracy theory guy but the officiating sure is suspicious. It’s almost like the sec office told the refs, wink wink.
  4. The number of mistakes is stunning: penalties, drops, missed kicks, etc. Stunning.
  5. You’re an idiot. That pass was right where it needed to be and was 1:1 coverage. The defender just got his hand in there and Bond didn’t secure it. That was not a terrible pass.
  6. Saban’s Gameday analysis of the first Texas Georgia game showed how difficult Georgia makes it for the QB. Not only do they have hosses up front, they disguise coverages really well. I suspect Sark knew that Arch hadn’t progressed enough to be able to deal with it any better than Quinn. That’s really the part of the QB position that casual fans can’t easily see. The ability to recognize coverages in a split second and deliver the ball to the right place is really difficult. It’s not always just about throwing a great long ball, or the ability to move around the pocket or run well, or throwing an accurate pass. Let’s all hope Quinn handles the complexity and pressure better this time around.
  7. Where is this supposed Bevo t shirt protesting his banning?
  8. Can someone explain all the references above to a surly/shaggy person? I don’t recall anything on that.
  9. Ah got it. That would be very stupid, but I guess I could see that.
  10. It’s ok, because you bill for 3,000.
  11. They don’t have his real name I don’t think.
  12. One of the more interesting items from this whole thing is the implication from them knowing he boarded a bus in Atlanta. That means there is likely a video database capturing huge streams of video data from all over the country, holding it for weeks/months/years? and using facial recognition scanning to ID the person. I’m unclear how this is constitutionally legal. There could be other paths to this data, but seems low probability.
  13. I always remind myself that DT is the only position besides QB where you pretty much factor into every play. A team may run away from one of the edge guys. A team may throw away from LB’s, CB’s, and S’s, or run the ball the other direction. But the DT’s are close enough to the QB and the RB on running and passing plays that their actions can disrupt the play. It’s no coincidence that Texas went to the playoff last year with great DT’s. This signing is fucking huge.
  14. So he can cry undetected with the rest of us.
  15. There’s Justus in Texas!
  16. Holt fivkin shit.
  17. That's what I was thinking of doing. I need to find a better enchilady gravy recipe. The one in the Tex Mex cookbook doesn't have meat, and the chili con carne recipe is beef chunks.
  18. It's that time of year again. What do people do for chili sauce for their tamales. In year's past, we've always been lazy for those that wanted it and would just lay out some Wolf brand chili, which is pretty lame. Any better options?
  19. These rubes sit on TexAgs every day all day long and throw out invective language, hatred, and mean-spirited comments about "Texas" people. That can't be good for their mental health over time. Meanwhile, Surly posters sit back and laugh at the TexAgs posts of these rubes, wondering how they make it from their beds to the breakfast table each morning without getting lost. That laughter is great for our mental health over time.
  20. Sounds like to me someone wasn't worried about the numbers.......and should have been.
  21. I think I can help here. Helobious is the one without flap gums.
  22. Texas hasn’t beaten anyone…except all the teams that have beaten the playoff teams.
  23. He’s hot because he learned Air Raid under a guy who learned under Kingsbury. While I love how that offense puts pounds of points on the board against average and bad teams, it’s an offense that still has yet to prove it can win a championship in the last several years. It also isn’t beating great teams. The shine is off a bit on Riley and other air raid coaches when it comes to beating top ten teams. OU is trying to relive the glory days of Leach’s offense. It will make them better for sure, but it won’t win them championships.
  24. I believe Georgia was tipped to Texas plays on both offense and defense. The Texas Georgia game was an outlier for both teams this year. Playing straight up Texas beats them this time around.
  25. This is the absolute worst stretch of the recruiting thread I’ve ever had to wade thru. And Jesus Funk, pull your shit together because you’re annoying the fuck out of everyone.
