  1. Maybe he got overpaid. Maybe that's what the market will pay. But, I don't think he's wrong about the Cowboys either.
  2. I can't edit out the picture so I'm going to issue a correction here. The beef post is bullshit. Snopes calls it false. The first one is obviously not, but there's no evidence to support the second one.
  3. So much winning In the spirit maker’s quarterly earnings call on March 5, CEO Lawson Whiting said blocking consumers from buying American-made products in Canada or other countries is a crushing blow for U.S. companies. “That’s worse than a tariff because it’s literally taking your sales away completely, removing our products on the shelves,” Whiting told investors. “That’s a very disproportionate response to a 25% tariff." https://www.supplychaindive.com/news/jack-daniels-brown-forman-canada-tariffs-taken-off-shelves-stores-ontario-alcohol-bourbon-trump/741970/
  4. I have barely listened, but it's not due to the people talking. It's the subject matter. I don't give a shit about the Cowboys or Mavs. Neither one deserves a second of my time. Any time Jerry speaks it's an instant punch out. The Mavs are circling the drain. That's why I stopped listening to the Dumb Zone and why I don't listen to anything pertaining to either of them unless it's to kick them. There's no reason to listen to the bullshit excuses. The Cowboys are irrelevant to my sports viewing. I watched more of them on the Red Zone last year than I did the actual broadcast because they are/were irrelevant and boring. Until they show something resembling a clue I have no reason to spend any time or money on them. The Mavs are headed straight back to the ignominy of 13 wins. Yet, that's the two subjects that the the consultants demand we must hear. Fuck'em. I don't have to listen to the bullshit.
  5. That's because he's an idiot
  6. One straw at a time. I avoid Walmart as much as possible. I buy local when I can or as close as I can get. I don't buy stuff for the sake of buying. If it's a shitty deal I don't mind passing on it. I'm not going to pay for things that don't last or are known to be poorly built. I'm much more willing to buy an iron skillet or other kitchen utensils from an estate sale than brand new crap that's going to suck right out of the gate. Part of The Revolution is where you lay your money down. Steve Earle sang about it. It's a known tactic for the consumer. I have no interest in spending a dime with shitty corporations trying to sell me crap. I can't entirely avoid funding assholes that I would rather see fail, but I do my best to limit myself as much as possible.
  7. All the other guys have a misconduct
  8. I swear he's an old 40something. I would have put him at least at 50. Burning the candle hard.
  9. Maybe. Has he played in any of the old guy tournaments? Because that would be admitting that he can't compete with the regular guys and I don't see that happening. He won't give it up. He's Emmit playing for the Cardinals.
  10. We can go get zombie Ben Hogan. He'd do about as well. Tiger is done. The only thing that keeps him coming back is ego.
  11. I'm sure Wall Street is going to love it. "Based on Ontario, Canada, placing a 25% Tariff on 'Electricity' coming into the United States, I have instructed my Secretary of Commerce to add an ADDITIONAL 25% Tariff, to 50%, on all STEEL and ALUMINUM COMING INTO THE UNITED STATES FROM CANADA, ONE OF THE HIGHEST TARIFFING NATIONS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD," the president wrote on Truth Social, saying those higher tariffs will go into effect Wednesday. https://www.cbsnews.com/texas/news/trump-tariffs-canada-steel-aluminum/?fbclid=IwY2xjawI9NHxleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHUGjQHPmmIK3lY0HGHPLU-21fgGiq57p2BgphLaEj_ugqOvT0fJYPjyOVg_aem_pc_m_HhSeaYXqBmsNm7N7w
  12. Scott Kelly this morning
  13. So much winning over at Wall Street this morning. No curbs until 7%. Hang on boys.
  14. Remind us what triggers the curbs. Aww hell 7% for the first one. Ain't anywhere close to that. Haven't seen one since 2010
  15. And it was at 42.28 on 3/11/20. Be glad you got out when you did.
  16. Ford is ten dollars. In what world is Tesla worth 20 times or more than that? The smoke and mirrors world of an irrational market.
  17. What exactly are you basing this opinion on? Good where? There are bumper stickers people are putting on them to state that they purchased it before they knew he was a fucking Nazi. Show me one market where he's in positive favorability. He's doing more to wreck any goodwill he had more than anyone I can remember. There has to be someone that could compete with him for that ignominious title but I don't remember them. EV isn't going away, but it's not going to be Tesla that benefits from it. edit: Oh yeah I meant to say Twitter is fucked this morning. Another thing that he has managed to enshitten with rapidity.
  18. Someone mentioned this last night on the thread where I found it. It's real.DAMN. Someone has got to be trolling.
  19. There's a woman on IG that has a series of commentary on such things. Her maxim is "if one 13 year old boy sees your slogan, signage, or product and laughs you should reevaluate it". There's not one of us that would have been able to keep a straight face at 13 looking at these stupid designs. Someone thought the Mooterus was a good idea too. Someone got paid for these designs.
