  1. I'm in Denton County. My offspring and I go vote every chance we get. Voting against the wild ass bitches that wanted to ban books from the school board felt pretty good. The margins at that level are mighty fucking slim. GOTV at a personal level makes a difference. Good question and I don't have any idea
  2. I've sent Farmer Jon money. Gonna give him some more too.
  3. Anyone else seeing anything on this? Trump hacked? The campaign blamed “foreign sources hostile to the United States,” citing a Microsoft report on Friday that Iranian hackers “sent a spear phishing email in June to a high-ranking official on a presidential campaign.” Microsoft did not identify the campaign targeted by the email and declined to comment Saturday. POLITICO has not independently verified the identity of the hacker or their motivation, and a Trump campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, declined to say if they had further information substantiating the campaigns’ suggestion that it was targeted by Iran.

  5. I am not going to take anything for granted. Keep playing until the whistle. This isn't a marathon now. It's a fucking sprint to November. Tick tock. Run the damn ball and keep running it up. Be a happy warrior. Joy and humor on the march. Their weird and stupid ways are catching them.
  6. Nate Cohn One way to think about her position is that she has become something like a “generic” Democrat. This might sound like an insult, but it’s really not. In fact, nothing is more coveted. An unnamed generic candidate — whether it’s a Democrat or a Republican — almost always fares better in the polls than named candidates, who are inevitably burdened by all the imperfections voters learn about in the process of a campaign. When we polled these three states last October, an unnamed Democrat led Mr. Trump by around 10 points, even as Mr. Trump led Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris by about one point each. The upside of a different, broadly acceptable Democrat was purely hypothetical, of course. There was no guarantee that any real-world Democrat could avoid alienating many of the voters who would prefer to vote for someone other than Mr. Trump. And there was certainly no reason to think Ms. Harris would be such a Democrat, as she was viewed unfavorably by a majority of voters and brought plenty of political baggage from her tenure as vice president and her failed 2020 presidential campaign.
  7. Later, at dinner under the tent, Harrison LeFrak, the scion of a New York real-estate family, whose father is an old friend of Mr. Trump’s, asked how Mr. Trump planned to take the narrative back from Democrats, and what his positive vision for the country would be. It appeared to be a request for reassurance. Mr. Trump provided none. Instead, he criticized Ms. Harris on a range of fronts, before adding: “I am who I am.” The fund-raiser came amid a stretch of flailing and self-harm that began after President Biden’s July 21 withdrawal from the race and endorsement of Ms. Harris to succeed him. Close Trump allies have described this as the rockiest period of Mr. Trump’s campaign — and easily the worst since a late 2022 spree in which he mused about terminating parts of the Constitution and dined at Mar-a-Lago with a white supremacist and an outspoken antisemite. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/08/10/us/politics/trump-campaign-election.html?unlocked_article_code=1.B04.9Mr7.BjaFDpIaxc3X&smid=url-share Here's a free share because I don't know why the fuck I still pay them.
