  1. this loss (just like the OU loss) wasn't on players. It wasn’t on the OL or Casey. it wasn’t on a lack of talent. It wasn’t on holes in the roster that recruiting will magically fix. That was a fucking horrible half of coaching. For the 2nd week in a row. Sarkisian and PK have both been absolutely worked over in back to back weeks. Becton’s ass should be held over the coals as well because this team hits the wall and can’t do a fucking thing.
  2. yep. Deyon Bouie is taking an OV to UGA. https://247sports.com/player/deyon-bouie-46056593/

  4. Daniels is really good when he's healthy but that's almost never. When healthy is a true difference maker but they're probably used to having him out these days. I think Clark would be the biggest impact because of his range and the fact that I know nothing about the guys behind him. I don't even know who Onyemaobi is and you know I follow this shit pretty closely. This is not my perception. At all.
  5. DeAndre Moore to OU :: https://247sports.com/Player/DeAndre-Moore-Jr-46084735/
  6. WTF are you smoking? IDGAF where the players are from and certainly have never said we shouldn't be in California. Quite the opposite, I've said that we should treat Southern California like an extension of Texas and make it a constant home. We should have a constant presence in that region and should have for decades. There should be kids growing up and waiting to be offered by Texas like a greater Houston or golden triangle kid. You'd be hard-pressed to find a bigger advocate for recruiting that region in our fan base. Can you not understand that taking Murphy is a risk/reward proposition and that was the discussion? And that his singular recruitment doesn't throw the entire west coast philosophy into the ocean? One of the impacts that we discussed at length when he committed was that the skill players in this state don't have an existing relationship with him, nor do they have a grasp on his mentality, his skillset, his personality, etc ... I said that it was going to create problems with momentum and retention - and it has. This staff has decided that his upside is worth the downside of the loss of momentum and retention of players (specifically WR/TE) in this class. That's the extent of the conversation. Boiled down it's simply that if we had taken an in-state QB there would be more momentum with the in-state kids that have played with or against them for 10+ years.
  7. Ewers was gone long before any of this was an issue. I think Klubnik would be a Horn if they had pursued him. He wasn't offered or even strongly pursued by Clemson until after Saban drug his nuts on Dabo and crew with the Ty Simpson recruitment. Klubnik was offered the same day Simpson committed to Bama which was a full 2 weeks after Murphy's commit to Texas. I suspect that Clemson would've gone all in on Braden Davis if Klubnik had committed to Texas rather than work the flip. Sark simply chose Murphy over Klubnik - a move which a lot of us said would create these exact challenges in terms of recruiting and it's impact with in-state recruits and a new staff trying to make connections. None of this should be a surprise to anyone here. Texas simply wasn't in a position to take a chance on Weigman choosing baseball and not having a QB in the class at all.
  8. current status per MarbleMouth today :: On the same day that LSU running back John Emery was declared unavailable for the rest of the season, Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron offered some positive news at the running back position. Kevontre Bradford is expected to be eligible to return for LSU’s next game. Bradford began his collegiate career at LSU last season, but transferred to Oklahoma in June. In August, he re-entered the NCAA Transfer Portal and found his way back to Baton Rouge. Orgeron was optimistic about Bradford’s status heading into Week Three. He also mentioned that Armoni Goodwin is questionable. “John Emery is out the year,” Orgeron said to reporters on Monday. “He’s unavailable. I do believe Armoni Goodwin is questionable for this week. And that’s a shame because I think he’s an outstanding running back. ‘Tre Bradford, as far as I know, will be eligible for the game. We’ll have to see how the week goes, and hopefully we can play him this week.”
  9. A lot of blaming the OL or Card talk going on, for a team that had the worst offensive game plan we’ve seen since Sean Watson. the same basic OL mauled KSU and Colorado to the tune of over 600 rushing yards, 600 passing yards, and more than 120 points to finish the season last year. players have to be put in a position to succeed and the Longhorns were not. there is more than enough talent on this team to win, much less not be completely humiliated by an also-ran shitty ass Arkansas team. Sarkisian got absolutely humbled by Odom.
  10. Bobby Wolfe. He dropped out at Zona but when he did it he got another holding penalty. There was Myron Rolle who went to FSU was really fucking good, completed his Rhodes at Oxford, went to the NFL and then after a couple of seasons retired from the NFL and is now a resident neurosurgeon at MassGen.
  11. Just stopping in to say that Ketchum is a horrible human being, a total piece of shit, and I hope he has a heart attack while angrily reading this post.
  12. FUD’ing the shit out of Mack the week he lost his brother to cancer would play out perfectly … for Mack. even Patterson would avoid that minefield.
  13. ahh. I just saw him on the team commit page and assumed it would reflect in the team rankings as well. insane that all these MMORPGs can update their rankings in real time with massive data bases with far more tables/complexities - even shitty private servers - and 247 can't update a yearly list with a very limited data set.
  14. burton left - he's at Lake Travis now. Del Valle then hired the IMG coach ... so you still love to see it.
  15. Marlin's standing with TEA isn't exactly going to help in all of this. We've seen far less impactful shit hold up the NCAA clearinghouse. https://www.kxxv.com/news/local-news/tea-revokes-marlin-isd-accreditation-no-longer-recognized-as-public-school
  16. from the OU 247 board - put this DIRECTLY in my veins :: 2019: -Lose Jase Mcclellan on signing day 2020: -Trey Sermon Transfers -Kennedy Brooks opts out of 2020 season -Lose Camar Wheaton on signing day 2021: -No RB’s signed in 2021 class -Rhamondre Stevenson goes to the NFL -Seth Mcgowen robs someone -Mikey Henderson robs someone -Marcus Major ruled ineligible -Tre Bradford transfers in and out in 2 months time
  17. you said you wanted to see Edge rushers paired with Brown and he pointed out that Jones was already in the fold.
