  1. The White/Cook/McIntosh/Edwards/Milton group at UGA is filthy.
  2. Is this 2021's Nahlin looking longingly at Baylor's Tate Williams and Conner Heffernan through a raindrop covered window?
  3. Rumors of lower leg and/or ankle all seem weird given the timeline for return is so murky, it makes me wonder if it's an Achilles.
  4. Yes. Esp with the flip from Dasan McCullough. I expect tOSU will turn up the heat on Medlock and Abdul Carter and take the first one that grabs it. He's a very good player but that 5 star on Rivals was a Ferrell special and was very reminicent of the 5star status given to RJ Washington and Jermie Calhoun - neither of those guys were 5 star guys but got the Crabtree/Ferrell bump. Calhoun shouldn't have been a 3 star, easily one of the worst high-rated prospects I have ever seen. Saying he was average would be an affront to average.
  5. Yeah, it was kind of a quiet deal - I guess because he's non-scholarship -- it was covered in the portal thread and one of the OU threads as well ::
  6. Clemson hasn't had many guys leave but I would be surprised if we ended up as a destination for Mellusi because it sounds like he wants significant playing time and wasn't happy as the 3rd RB option.
  7. First, scholarship numbers and good depth are two completely different conversations. Having said that, 8 guys to play 2 spots? Yes, I think having 4 deep at a position on scholarship is all the numbers that you need. I'm not even going to get into the parallels of the OU WR room and the how it mirrors this conversation because you are too fucking stupid to grasp it, so just drop that thought. Pretend it never happened. Now, stop being a fucking coward. You had a shitty lazy ass take and when I pointed out how stupid and lazy it is and asked you to simply let me know who you think is shitty, you won't. You stated the room was a joke. You stated we have no depth. So own it. I have repeatedly named specific names and said that I think there are several good young LBs on this roster. (ie. depth) and named them. So stop ignoring my simple and singular request and answer this one question ... Which 5 of these guys are jokes as players and incapable of being developed into quality backup LBs? Ford. Tillman. Gbenda. Hullaby. Cooks. Blackwell. you just said Which 5 are dog shit? Ford. Tillman. Gbenda. Hullaby. Cooks. Blackwell.
  8. Looks like CBs are rolling in for Justin Medlock - including one from tOSU guy, so that seems like a pretty clear indicator :: https://247sports.com/player/justin-medlock-46081319/ and it appears that the Sooners are very close to adding Derrick Moore as well. He and Abor would make a pretty fucking good DE class. https://247sports.com/player/derrick-moore-46080075/ Sooners defensive class looks like it's starting to take shape. McKinzie, Abor, Rowe, Lewis, Medlock, and Moore is a damn good nucleus. that pisses me the fuck off.
  9. what the fuck do you think depth is and what have we been talking about, if not depth? It appears that Overshown and Gbenda will be the 2 guys starting rolling into the fall. Owens is intriguing but so far we haven't got to see what that looks like. So let's take them out of the "no depth" discussion. So the backups/depth are built from Ford, Tillman, Hullaby, Cooks, Blackwell (as well as Brockermeyer). You are saying we have no depth over and over and over and I am pointing out the depth - by name. So I want you to be clear and tell me which of 5 of these guys suck. Which five of these guys lacks enough talent to be developed? Ford. Tillman. Gbenda. Hullaby. Cooks. Blackwell. Are you telling me that we can't develop 2 of these 6 guys into solid BigXII capable backup LBs for 2021? If that is the case then Choate should go back to FCS and I am dead serious. If he can't develop 2 quality backups from that list of guys, he should GTFO. So, I want you to name them. I don't want you to reply to this until you say "Our LB depth sucks and is a joke because ________ isn't capable of playing quality LB in the BigXII" and I want you to name 5 of them because that would equate to our LB room being a joke. The coaching staff wanted to add some pieces at LB and they did and continue to do so - you pointed out that it will help our depth problems, to which I responded that it may very well hurt depth as evidenced by very similar scenario at WR at Oklahoma. You countered by saying that So this is simple. Which 5 of these guys are jokes? Ford. Tillman. Gbenda. Hullaby. Cooks. Blackwell.
  10. and I disagree with that assessment. I think the young talent there is clear and simply in need of a competent position coach. That's exactly what I said here :: Ford. Tillman. Gbenda. Hullaby. Cooks. Blackwell. <--- you think these guys are all a joke and are all spares? I just want to be fully clear. You don't think a good LB coach could develop 4 quality players from those 6 guys in the 3-5 years that they are on the roster? Further still, you don't think those 6 guys represent more talent than the other teams within the BigXII?
  11. WR room? FOR SURE. I simply disagree with the idea that LB room needs a complete rebuild. The talent needs to be developed and that's on the coaching staff to do it. Not even taking other classes into consideration or the jack/rush/OLB guys in play just take the young guys. Ford. Tillman. Gbenda. Hullaby. Cooks. Blackwell. If a coach can't develop at least 4 of those guys into a quality LB 2-deep then he should be fired. I hate Fat Pat and TCU but he and Glasgow would gladly take any two out of that list of six and turn them into All BigXII. which was my point. Every one of them that you bring on will cost one or more from the above listed guys. Hence, the OU WR example. They ended up losing 4 young guys for 2 transfers with 2+ or more years left and it's caused depth issues for the Sooners. You pointed out how this would fix depth and I was simply pointing out that it very well can do the opposite.
  12. Maybe, but if you continue to add guys from the portal you are going to subtract younger guys to the portal - which impacts that depth. You aren't going to keep all the young guys if you are stacking these guys over them. The one year rentals hurt a little but for every guy you bring in with 3+ you are likely going to lose a guy from the 2020-2022 rolling 3 year class. That impacts depth directly (see the OU WR situation currently). If you look at them as an example the mortgage some future to get Obiola and Howard. Those guys gave nothing and OU lost West, Rambo, Crawford, and Jones. There's a lot of good young talent at LB on this roster, imho and there are a couple I certainly wouldn't trade for some of these guys coming in via the portal but they will leave.
  13. well, those are 2 vastly different frames/body types. wow.
  14. I'd be fine with that turn of events.
  15. Kip Lewis Fong'd to OU. https://247sports.com/Player/Kip-Lewis-46094260/
  16. Sure, but I'm not going to listen to that shit. I'm just pointing out that despite what might pass as BroCountry or whatever he markets himself now - dude was not country. There is no world in which "Ms. New Booty" even qualifies as BroCountry nonsense. That's like saying that House of Pain's Jump Around is country because Everlast is fleecing country fans for his income.
  17. CBs coming in for Jayden Rowe to OU. Not a surprise but a good get for the fucking dirt burglars. Dude has legit size 6'3" 200 and ran a 10.45 earlier this year. https://247sports.com/Player/Jayden-Rowe-46112803/
  18. USC has had a lot of success in Texas (signed 4 kids from Texas in 2021). They added BC to their staff as well as several former Longhorns coaches (known to the kids/trainers/coaches) They've also added several Texas kids via transfer in Ingram, Alford, Nixon, and Washington. They aren't going to get Perkins but they have A LOT more success in Texas than we do with Florida/deep SEC guys.
  19. Very underwhelming HUDL but it's a Soph vid so not sure what to think, no Utah offer is troubling for a NV kid that is jumbo athlete. The article says "Texas and USC looking to add him as an outside linebacker" - I assume that means as a pass rushing OLB.
  20. the reality is that the WR recruiting has been a real fucking dumpster fire in Lit Station. Right now this is your rolling 3 year WR room. They have 4 guys, mostly full on spares, from THREE classes. In the state of Texas. Look, kids today in Texas aren't going to go from playing in the modern offenses they've grown up in to a overly-complex old school system that keeps them on the sidelines for 2+ seasons while they learn -- only to be rarely targeted in that passing game. They also have played with all of these QBs and know what they are capable of. rolling 3 year WR room (I could be missing someone as I did this from memory) :: Shadrach Banks. Demond Demas. Moose Muhammed. Devin Price. Dylan Wright. Kam Brown. Kenyon Jackson. Chase Lane.
