  1. Do you realize what you've done here? Ketch and Roach are both buying Camelbacks as we speak, because you know they are reading this thread. Quick mayo shots while keeping his ear is to the streets, it's the dream. "That's great but I've actually met Eugenia Duke." - Roach
  2. I'm thinking he has a mayo belt at home that he bought from a Krispy Kreme that was closed for remodeling. So now he's got a sugar belt and a mayo belt, needs a bacon grease belt to complete the set.
  3. This one only gets funnier now that Chad is the new HC at Allen. Stick to those guns Lincoln, don't back down now.
  4. OU was my first thought because of Eaton. I'd guess that TCU, SMU, and likely Baylor will be in the mix as well. Rogers has elite athleticism but it sounds like he got passed up by most of the incoming FR on the depth chart at Florida. He needs to be smart and patient and pick a place that is willing to teach him and develop him behind the 2-deep but it sounds like he's unwilling to do that and it sounds like he's not ready for playing time. He's the kind of guy Akina would've turned into a day one NFL draft pick and If Gonzales can get him at TCU and talk him into playing FS, he'll turn him into a 1st rounder.
  5. Sarkisian is only 47 years old. If he succeeds, he will still be the coach at Texas in 10-15 years. If Sarkisian fails, I don't see a path where his failure leads to Milwee getting the HC job 4-6 years after they are all fired (assuming a 4 year run) esp with little to no HC experience at that point. Though, I guess that would be a bit like Yurcich being named Texas HC in 2025 and I can kind of visualize that path (barely) but it includes him having success as a HC. I'd expect Milwee will try to bounce to a G5 HC gig after 1-2 seasons at Texas. He went from youngest OC to "guy on staff" pretty quickly, so he needs to make it happen soon, or he'll get in to a no-man's land of age/lack of HC experience/non-playcall role for too long, etc .... If it were me and I was looking at future HC guys on this staff, that list would begin with Gideon.
  6. In a move that will shock no one on this board - Stripling has moved to Rush because he can't hold the weight to be a DE. Going to be interesting to see that depth chart shake out and see where he slots, esp with the incoming DL class (Clayton Smith). @quigley or @Pdawg88 any insight to the Rush 2-deep for 2021 or that DE spot? I know Bonitto will start at Rush but do the Sooners expect Smith to overtake Wete, Stripling, and Walker and take that rotational role in the 2-deep? What will this mean for the DE slot? I'm assuming that they must feel good about Grimes to move Stripling but who becomes the next man up behind him? Is that something that Downs may take or Gilliam? I feel like I brought up a lot of FR but they also seem to be the most talented. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  7. I'll have you know good sir that not only did Perroni talk directly to Banks at the Houston OL/DL camp but perhaps you don't know the absolutely elite 2023 OL prospect from the Houston area -- one Hudson Perroni who is surely the best of friends with Kelvin Banks. HammLite is "very close" to this recruitment (despite quoting months old information repeatedly). https://247sports.com/Player/Hudson-Perroni-46112000/
  8. and he didn't shit all over Caleb Williams in the process *cough* Kyron Drones *cough* - was hilarious watching that live stream.
  9. Getting dragged by Assmydude is no way to go through life Bellytat.
  10. someone in the AD needs to be the guy to go to Riley and tell him to STFU and let the kid go. This is one of those weird unforced errors that I can't even wrap my head around. Morris is a fucking 3rd string QB, so this is all nonsense. Absolute nonsense. Everything you do publicly as a HC is recruiting (see Bowden and Mack) and right now Riley is behaving like a petulant child, while having personally greatly benefitted from transfers. Making a big deal about intraconference transfers only makes it look more petulant and petty, esp with a 3rd string fucking QB. The fact that he's the child of another college coach and to a program in TCU that is always looking for ammo to shit on you, makes it next-level incomprehensible. The kid isn't going to start at TCU in 2021 so all Riley is doing is hurting his brand. There is no upside here and yet he's still here tilting at windmills. It's unreal.
  11. That's the sound of Frank Gore Jr. rushing for 1100+ yards in Hall's offense next season.
  12. Not sure if you guys have been following but Riley is once again being a bitch about a QB transfer. The funnier part is the Sooners intimating that TCU was tampering in the same off-season that the RockyTop-to-Dirt Burgler pipeline was built. You'd think Riley would avoid this shit after looking like a petulant bitch with the Austin Kendall shit and that guy was a goddamn grad transfer. He had to try and walk that one back and he'll have to do the same here.
  13. He's a big time up-and-comer, that entire Peay staff (starting with Walden) should be on everyone's "guys we are watching" list.
  14. First offer was from Josh Cochran/Scotty Walden - combine that with Utah and you have my attention.
  15. I want Shaka gone but I do not want that incompetent fuckface CDC making the hire. They both need to be gone. Fuck.
  16. Bobby Taylor visiting ASU on spring break - shortly after lining up his Bama OV :: It's just a spring break trip with the family. So he strolled through campus. Twice.
  17. Pretty sure Gabe Brooks started that horseshit at 247. Tremendously stupid take. His entire take on him reads like he didn't actually watch Banks, it reads like it should've been Kenyon Green's eval honestly. I like how Biggins evals says that he plays with a wide base in pass pro while also being out over his skis and with inconsistency as a bender. Honestly, I think Biggins watched the OL clips from Houston OL/DL camp (ignored his HUDL) and decided Banks gets out over his skis because the one rep he had against Tunimese where he got out of balance because he was clearly surprised at how easily he tossed him to the ground. It's not something you see a lot in his HUDL (a la Kenyon Green). I think Banks has really good balance and looks like a natural bender. Reminder vs. Tunimese :: Reminder vs. Jordon Thomas ::
  18. Texas is on it's 4th HC since Nick Saban has been at Alabama. I think it's probably far easier for Saban to point out that he will continue to hire quality OCs that will ensure Arch's development for the NFL than it is for Texas to sell anything at all because he's done it over and over and over and over and over. Arch clearly likes Sark but anyone discounting Saban in that recruitment, no matter your feelings on that moron BoB, is likely doing it at your own peril. Ty Simpson was all but locked up to Clemson a year ago and Clemson has an outstanding resume/product and still he committed to Bama because: Saban. Even with a change in OC.
  19. Hoza was a 5 star on one of the services, I think. https://www.accac.org/sports/fball/2016-17/players/hozascottqrkd
  20. A lot of the best of the 2024 class were in Houston for 7v7, so I don't know how complete the updates for WR/DB in that class would be based on this one event. Some further notes on Buford here :: - 2024 DeSoto cornerback Mario Buford is emerging early as one of the best defensive backs in his class. The younger brother of Nebraska freshman Marques Buford, Mario is getting early college attention his brother didn’t at the same stage. He already holds offers from Nebraska, Oregon and Mississippi State. He can’t talk with the staff much because he’s just a freshman but he’s hearing glowing early reviews from his older brother’s experience. He spoke very highly of the way Nebraska has embraced him and his family since they began recruiting his older brother saying the staff feels like a part of their family now. It’s also worth noting that the main coach he’s talked to up till this point is Scott Frost. It is still really early, but he’s looking for a great education and a home atmosphere. He has high academic expectations, hoping to graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA.
