  1. Ha. It doesn't bother me in the least posting here. I mostly appreciate the lack of modification. I'll have to get back to you on the penance.
  2. Lol. I was never part of texags for this very reason.
  3. The decades long ties may not be there, but I wouldn't say Jimbo totally struck out in state. Leal, Jaylon Jones, Bobby Brown, Baylor Cupp, etc. Certainly missed out on guys we wanted, too, but it hasn't been that bad.
  4. Well, the roster isn't exactly stacked. Mond is underwhelming, clearly. Foster and Calzada don't see much time, and don't seem to make much of it when they get playing time. I'm not sure Calzada isnt the best in the room. His arm talent is the best by a wide margin.
  5. My OL eval skills arent always great. I love Fatheree due to size and feet. We've just been so short on both. He needs to focus more on football and not basketball, but if he can keep his feet and get a little more good weight, I like his potential.
  6. King played a west coast offense in HS. Arm strength is certainly the biggest question mark.
  7. I like wykoff but liked Zuhn better. And fatheree the most. Really wish we could flip the mizzou commit Tollison. Just happy they are legit OT size and have some experience. It's insane. The scheme is my biggest worry, along with Jimbo's historically shitty OLs at fsu. Doesn't instill much confidence that we'll ever get it right.
  8. Valid question, for sure. Mond lacks it, yes. People didn't think King had a strong arm, but he showed out well at elite 11. Would have liked to have seen more of that in games. Stowers threw well before his injury and put up good numbers. Not Aaron rogers (or Behren Morton), but probably good enough It seems like we take athletes that play qb. I wish we would take qbs that had some athletic ability. King might fit that mold better.
  9. Lol. We take everyone 6'4 and under and pray one of them turns into a tackle. You wonder why we wanted Shepherd so much? That was a big part of it. Sick of an OL consisting of a group of right guards.
  10. I'm not to his tape, yet, but the staff seems to really like him. I doubt he's a day 1 starter, though. Stowers and King both (especially stowers, if healthy) offer a lot of upside, at least compared to Mond. Thankfully he'll be gone by then.
  11. I think Simpson will probably be our guy. Could be wrong. Not hearing anything on Ewers.
  12. Are you sure that isn't true? 247 played it off that way.
  13. Lol, pittman has done well in recruiting so far. Can he coach? Can he turn that dumpster fire into something respectable? Can he even get the respect of the team (something morris couldnt do)? Lots of ifs before they even get to mediocre.
  14. Hell, for ag fans, that would have been his best work. Taking down sumlin while going up in flames himself.
  15. Well, the gigem is kind of our thing. Although I can't think of any Christmas party pictures from work functions where I had my thumb up. Probably ok at school-related things, but in my profession, not generally going to happen.
  16. Have you checked out desmond watson? If he got down to the low 300lb range, he would be incredible. Great hands and feet.
  17. Lol. Come on, stop lying. He doesn't get those five stars without Karen's help.
  18. It sounds like his heart is going to end up working at McDonald's. Makes you wonder how he lost all that weight. You'd think something must have changed.
  19. What happened with him once he got on campus?
  20. Yeah, I mean even if Malone goes with baseball, you take him. He's great. We are in on Burris and Regis, but I get the feeling they are guys we may just be keeping warm. I like both a lot, although I worry a little bit about Burris being ou scraps and the injury he had. As far as national recruiting, I think it's a number of things. It's all Jimbo knows. He and the staff may be better connected elsewhere (Elijah Robinson in the NE, for example). They are confident in the evals (we'll see how those all play out). I also wonder if they don't think some Texas kids are maxxed out already, or there is no tread left on the tires. Ultimately, though, he's like any other coach in that he wants to find guys he thinks will help him win. He must think recruiting nationally does that.
  21. Lol, I have not had that opportunity. So I can't vouch for the cheetos or the bean bag chair. Probably for the best.
  22. Yeah, i mean if that is how he still looks, he's not an OT, which is what we need. I was pretty pissed when yall picked him up--I thought he had first round potential. I think if he got into (and actually followed) a good S&C program, he could get back to that level. Maybe wishful thinking, though.
  23. Sounds about right. That is funny. The only other thing I'd heard was that he got into a fight at a high school game (not sure how physical it got) with a reporter at texags.
