  1. When they got a commitment from Pierce Clarkson, a 4 star QB from CA, buzz picked up because his dad is a well respected QB trainer https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Clarkson. That got DeAndre Moore's attention, which is why they were confident they could get Moore for $150k a month or 2 ago, although I think the final deal was a little higher. They just had their big recruiting weekend and their pitch includes a menu of NIL perks such as a room at the Galt house overlooking the river, use of an exotic car (can only use for a limited number of miles because of fears of a crash), flying family to all games on a private jet, ProRehab so if they're injured they'll still get NIL money by saying they're using ProRehab. Humana is also a big NIL contributor. They have a slide saying their first NIL deal was July 2021 and in the first year they've secured $4M in NIL money and they expect that to increase to what Texas is doing for OL. Thought it was hilarious they actually mentioned Texas in their presentation slides as to what they aspire to be. They also said they can now do legally what Alabama has been doing for years. It also appears that they are actually required to do promos to justify their NIL deals, so it appears legit. They also don't seem to be involved in the bag game (all money goes to athlete after signing and after NIL deal signed), except for minor stuff during visits. The buzz with Clarkson got the boosters to donate more, which got more recruits interested, which got more booster money, and the snowball keeps rolling downhill.
  2. I'd be OK with Sankey reconsidering the Bjork email and suspending Saban for the week of the UT game. Not that it would affect the outcome, but just to see the Aggy reaction.
  3. Lots of folks responding to the above article:
  4. A top 15 finish for both track teams will probably be enough to guarantee a cup win. I'd be shocked if we weren't top 3 for both track teams though, so we should win the cup by >100 points easily.
  5. Here's the image from the above post. You have to use the points from the sports highlighted in red. You then pick the next best 15.
  6. They mentioned special teams for the first to play scenario, which would presumably be the opening kickoff.
  7. Maybe Saban just wanted to get Jimbo on record saying some ridiculous things. Just keep giving Jimbo rope and he'll take care of the rest.
  8. David Sandhop, TexAgs Director of Recruiting (Grayson Reed on the left, Sandhop on the right)
  9. I think DeLoss said "Texas will decide when Texas and ATM will play again." Wait till they find out that the first time we meet in the SEC it will be in Austin.
  10. Sounds like "BREAKING NEWS: According to an unreliable source..."
  11. I like the 3-6 format where each school has 3 permanent opponents each year and rotates through the other 6 teams home/away every 4 years. In the comments someone posted an example of how this would look. I think Andy Staples of The Athletic did something similar many months ago. "My stab at permanent opponents. I tried to balance historical rivalries, regionality, competitiveness, and more recent rivalry. No one is going to be completely happy, but the beauty is you still play everyone else twice over a four year span.Alabama - Auburn, Tennessee, LSUArkansas - Texas, Missouri, Texas A&MAuburn - Alabama, Georgia, Miss StateFlorida - Georgia, South Carolina, KentuckyGeorgia - Florida, Auburn, South CarolinaKentucky - Vanderbilt, Tennessee, FloridaLSU - Texas A&M, Miss State, AlabamaOle Miss - Miss State, Oklahoma, VanderbiltMiss State - Ole Miss, LSU, AuburnMissouri - Arkansas, Oklahoma, South CarolinaOklahoma - Texas, Missouri, Ole MissSouth Carolina - Missouri, Georgia, FloridaTennessee - Alabama, Vanderbilt, KentuckyTexas - Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas A&MTexas A&M - Texas, LSU, ArkansasVanderbilt - Tennessee, Kentucky, Ole Miss" The Athletic article:
