  1. I hate the discourse about Musk and his drug use. That some external product is the cause of his behavior and viewpoints. It's a copout. Elon is a sociopath. He has a personality disorder.
  2. If Akina passes, I'd make a call to Gary Darnell and Bull Reese
  3. Yes, the right already effectively owns YouTube. The clever thing Trumpians figured out is to connect with users/viewers outside of politics. The Daily Wire has a college football podcast under their umbrella. They hire people to talk about celebrity/entertainment news. Joe Rogan is a force because he covers so many different subjects with his guests, that he's able to capture a viewer's political attention when he focuses on it. Candace Owens is owning the Lively/Baldoni Hollywood drama discourse on YT right now, and the next suggested video from her is an "investigative" documentary series she created to prove Brigitte Macron is a man. Right now you have people like Hasan Piker and Sam Seder at the Majority Report as the longstanding major voices on YT. Half of their content is making fun of Tim Pool and other right wing nuts. It's just not moving the needle and is all about politics all the time. The left needs to cast a much wider net.
  4. If the left wants to re-enter the conversation and capture apolitical or low information people, the venue is YouTube. The usefulness of social media is almost dead. YouTube is free and lots of people (particularly Gen Y & Z) are increasingly watching it to the point where it's effectively replacing cable TV.
  5. Yes. The reality is most of these Trumpers get off on trolling and triggering the left.. The confrontation fuels them. It increases their engagement numbers and monetization. If people on the left leave, and political Twitter effectively become a larger version of the failing Truth Social, it will suffer and die off. IMO ghosting these right wing assholes is how you hurt them. Because engagement, not their actual beliefs or stances, is what feeds them.
  6. Bozo, your impression of Twitter seems pretty naive, like you don't really use it. A lot of us were screaming from the rooftops immediately when Musk took over and started implementing serious changes. I watched its destruction in real time. It is now 100% ineffective in creating meaningful or fruitful conversation. It is a gelatinous monster that absorbs any discourse/information and spits out venom. It simply needs to die.
  7. No offense but I'm not looking at this from a strategic political party perspective. IMO, social media peaked over a decade ago and it's usefulness has run its course. Trump's second electoral victory is enough proof that "fighting the good fight" through social media is a lost cause. I deleted Twitter three months ago after being a heavy, every day user for almost 15 years. The surprising part is how little I miss it. Yeah, I'm not up to date on the world of sports like I used to be (probably the worst part), but my blood pressure is lower and I have more time to focus on my family, friends, and career. I'll continue my efforts via personal interactions moving forward. It's the only way to have a sincere or productive conversation now.
  8. We are basically 10 years into Trump and the disinformation campaigns on social media. It ended up with Trump being elected twice. There are no good answers on how to deal with this shit. But leaving Twitter, with a possibility over time of its influence weakening, is an understandable strategy.
  9. I used to complain about the price of eggs. But with Trump in office, maybe we just get rid of eggs altogether. If you can't buy them, you are saving money. Thank you, Mr. President!
  10. Just part of the plan to "encourage" companies to hire white males moving forward.
  11. Gotta think Week 1 vs. Ohio State is gonna put a MASSIVE number in TV ratings. Two bluebloods, defending champs, playoff rematch, opening weekend, and Arch. The media hype will be out of control heading into that game.
  12. Good post. And Reagan was the one that really sowed the seeds of people distrusting the government. And his War on Drugs filled the prisons and devastated communities.
  13. With Trump, "we" failed to have a spine and a brain and to give a shit about each other. But that was a slow drip result of the people in power failing us for decades. Blame the powerful first.
  14. Shout out to Ronald Reagan for lighting the fire that will eventually burn down this country.
  15. The Worthy vs. Arch first 10 yard dash stuff shouldn't be taken seriously, but Arch's HS coach didn't shut it down when asked about it in this interview (8:48 mark). He says Arch ran the 4x100 in HS, longest broad jump on football team, and that he is a "4.4, 4.3" type of kid. Raves about his strength and athleticism.
  16. That's true. But more likely scenario is Luka will employ the brand new chip on his shoulder to dominate at a level he hasn't reached yet.
  17. I try to jack a jack every time I encounter one. A pious life is hard, but not as hard as that goddamn donkey dick.
  18. But other schools won't see it without current tape, which the Spring Game provides. Trey is not looking to transfer, they would tamper and come after him.
  19. They're just being contrarian to stand out. The only way the Mavs "win" this trade is a NBA championship this year or next. Anything less could be (and already has been) accomplished with Luka as the franchise player.
  20. I appreciate the empathy you have, I really do. But the people have to FAFO. Forgiving or excusing their misjudgment will end up just encouraging them to fuck up again in the future. Hard lessons need to be learned.
  21. Insane that X is getting asked about Arch at a Super Bowl media event. His reply "Hey, Arch is a dog, man. I expect nothing less than a Heisman." (1:58 mark)
  22. "Gaza is a beautiful place with a beautiful name. It's very close to MAGA. If you think about it, it's very close. You take out the Z and put in a M and move some letters around, it becomes MAGA. Maybe we should call it MAGA. I just came up with that, but we should rename it MAGA, don't you think?"
