  1. What a bunch of nonsense. He is a leader and team player. He mentors a ton of young players and hoops with them in the offseason. He's respected and looked up to by almost every NBA player. Stop reading NBA twitter, those fans are psychos. This Rocket team is literally missing one piece: a go-to scorer. He's the perfect piece for the next couple of years.
  2. I get it, but think of it this way. Trump truly believes that protestors are paid. That's what his bootlickers tell him, and how he thinks because of his narcissistic personality disorder. Also his MAGA social media grifters all run with the paid protester nonsense. If there are millions and millions of protestors throughout the country, with video in every city and town and local news reporting, their narrative is dead. No more relying on politicians to save this country, we have to do it ourselves.
  3. A note from the No Kings website about D.C.: On June 14—Flag Day—Donald Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday. A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington. It rises up everywhere else. Instead of allowing this birthday parade to be the center of gravity, we will make action everywhere else the story of America that day: people coming together in communities across the country to reject strongman politics and corruption. For that reason, NO KINGS is not hosting an event in Washington, D.C. We will instead have a major flagship march and rally in Philadelphia to draw a clear contrast between our people-powered movement and the costly, wasteful, and un-American birthday parade in Washington. You can RSVP for the Philadelphia event here. For participants in the D.C. area, we encourage you to join us in Philadelphia, find a local NO KINGS mobilization in Virginia or Maryland, or join our partners at Free D.C. for DC Joy Day, a community-led event in the District.

  5. This feels like it could be a very important day for the future of our country. While Trump has war machines rolling through his DC parade, there looks to be a well coordinated mass protest throughout the country. The contrast and optics will be fascinating to see unfold. Anyone going to their local protest? 4 days away.... https://www.nokings.org/
  6. Probably because they think they are the "good ones", when no such thing exists in Trump world.
  7. We should make Lonesome Dove required reading in Texas high schools. I'm gonna make damn sure my son reads it when he's old enough.
  8. You're right, but it wasn't always like that. What used to be a confident, polite, "mind you own business" ethos turned into a hysterical and beta bitch form of conservatism and masculinity.
  9. Hey man, enjoy your posts on the Rockets thread and I'm sure we'd get along watching a game together. But why are you falling for this Craigslist bullshit? This is old school hoax stuff that shouldn't work on people anymore.
  10. I'm just as guilty of it, but the real time crowning of public figures and politicians because of a couple of good soundbites is getting old. The face of the MAGA resistance is the people in the streets protesting. We need to stop looking to individuals to save us. This is on us and I'm proud of the people who are doing something about it. Hopefully June 14th will be a massive movement.
  11. As an American, I"m just devastated and pwned that the world famous LA Scanner twitter person, someone that I look up to and support publicly and personally, is apparently a convicted felon. I'm doing some real soul searching with my beliefs and politics. Thanks, Zeus.
  12. What's your problem with convicted felons?
  13. Just having him on the sidelines is worth that contract. Great player when healthy.
  14. Thanks for the breaking news update and rushing over to this thread and bumping for us gossip queens, lol. That is a huge blow to Baldoni.
  15. That's cool as fuck. Thanks for sharing.
  16. This should literally be the attitude for anyone strongly opposed to Trump's authoritarian regime.
  17. Stop being a pussy.
  18. Also, I'm not some Bryson fanboi but this is an excellent video and preview of Oakmont. And watching this seems to confirm Bryson's biggest flaw...he is just not good enough with iron play right now. Great off the tee and excellent putter, but his clock system for his iron swings doesn't produce consistent enough results. And I think his ego with distances is affecting him.
  19. This will be a pretty fascinating US. Open. I think the oddsmakers are right with Scheffler being the heavy favorite, and then Bryson after him. Oakmont is the ultimate test, and I don't see a lot of guys playing right now with the mental toughness to get through this course every day. Who else can win? - Rory completely fell apart at The Canadian Open. Massive swing failures on Friday. Maybe he just checked out, but that had to rattle him a little. - Xander? He has the skills/mindset, but he needs to play a lot better than he has so far this season. - I think playing on LIV tour has weakened Rahm mentally. I guess he could turn it around after competing at The Masters. - I'm a big Aberg fan, but he's been so inconsistent Some commentator said it recently and I agree...the harder the course, the better for Scottie. The fact that it's almost impossible to go low at Oakmont suppresses the chances of a lesser player catching fire and making a serious run.
  20. Hard to watch two guys choke on the greens in a playoff, but that last approach shot from Ryan Fox to win was pretty awesome.
  21. Are you referring to the 2020 clip that right wingers have been disingenuously posting on social media over the weekend?
