  1. TV is a whole other world from social media. Dems going on Fox "forces" the viewer to watch them (unless they change the channel), that's now how it works on Twitter. Musk controls the Twitter algorithm. Also, he manipulates his AI Grok (which many users rely on for "facts") anytime it feeds answers that he feels are too "woke" or whatever. No one on the right is seeing AOC or Pete or Bernie tweets, unless they are being retweeted with criticism from the right. No one on the left is seeing right winger tweets unless they are retweeted by the left with criticism. The algorithm isn't interested in expanding viewpoints, it's wants to do the exact opposite. The misinformation/disinformation is staggering, to the point that even Dem accounts fall into that trap. And again, most of the large left-leaning accounts are still on Twitter. And it is still accomplishing nothing.
  2. This sounds like something Schumer or Jeffries would believe. It's copium from a bygone era. I agree that BlueSky is fairly worthless, but Twitter is cooked. The platform, algorithm, and "AI" is completely corrupted. There are plenty of leftist/dems that still engage, and nothing moves the needle.
  3. This interview is bleak. This doesn't look like a guy that believes in himself or the team anymore. Did I read that CJ was wearing a Mariners hat recently? And now a Yankees hat in this PC? WTF.
  4. It's never about the truth with right wingers, narrative is all that matters. And they don't like the narrative that a white kid from Utah wanted to kill Charlie Kirk.
  5. A woman cannot lead Charlie Kirk's movement. It is antithetical to everything he stood for.
  6. There was a time when Sports Twitter was great. Now it's just Politics Twitter with nothing but grievances, trolling, and engagement bait. Is nothing sacred.
  7. Amazing how quickly everything went to shit. All that hype after 2023 season is gone. Ooof.
  8. Kelly LeBrock. Oh, baseball glove? Lenny Dykstra.
  9. I think we are almost at 10 days of Tyler Robinson being in custody. Is he still not cooperating? No more updates besides that one text conversation?
  10. I implore people not to take the bait with Arch stuff on social media. Everyone is an engagement whore so he is an easy target. Was it a little much talking shit to the SHSU player? Sure. But he did this all the time last year. He mean mugged after the A&M run, showed a lot of emotion on TDs vs. Colorado State and UTSA as well. He almost looked depressed running in for a score last week vs. UTEP. Maybe a bit of an overcorrection, but the reality is he's an emotional guy and the players and coaches want this version of him.
  11. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this: So 100,000 people, including Trump/Vance and most of his administration, will be in attendance less than 2 weeks after Kirk was assassinated in public. The amount of security needed to properly protect people is enormous. Will this be a peaceful, somber presentation? Or will Trump try to rile people up against "the left"? Just seems like a powder keg moment.
  12. The sports teams and influencers themselves have made it an issue. We have NFL stadiums giving moments of silence to a political YouTuber. We have Dave Portnoy/Barstool bros infecting everything with their MAGA shit. We have Quinn Ewers wearing Trump stuff on camera. We have Joe Rogan and Tony Hinchcliffe as "celebrities" on the field at DKR. Ignorance is not an excuse. The sports need to stick to sports.
  13. If there is anything we need the Democratic politicians to do right now, it's to use whatever legal powers and influence they still have to ensure we actually have mid-term elections next year.
  14. Playing devil's advocate, these kids were living in an online world that 99% of us were completely clueless about. Memes, trolls, inside jokes, roleplay, etc. "People don't talk this way in real life" doesn't seem like a compelling argument IMO. They live in a completely different existence than "regular" people. Also the two people involved in that conversation are alive. One is detained and the other has been cooperating with law enforcement. I'm assuming both have attorneys at this point. If the text was doctored or falsified by FBI or LEOs, wouldn't their be public pushback from their sides?
  15. Limousine? Very fitting that Republicans use an out of touch descriptor that is mainly used by High School Seniors, Bachelorettes, and 80s tycoon villains.
  16. Two things can be true at once, man.
  17. I don't know the answer, but your second sentence is correct. The Democratic Party as we know it is dead. It's over and there's no going back. That can be a good thing, if power is ever wrestled away from Trump. It's all up to the people at this point. No institution will save us.
  18. Even the shittiest Republicans make sense when they leave the cult and the fog lifts.
  19. Right out in the open. Wake up, conservatives.
  20. Shane Gillis literally moved to Austin. It's fascinating how you try to white knight him.
  21. I'm not a Hasan Piker fanboy or anything. But he spells this out very clearly. Americans are spoiled and so many don't understand what's really happening.
