  1. I appreciate the response. Sincere question: do you consume a lot of political media? Or do you kinda avoid it?
  2. No matter what Sarks says to the press, I would imagine Arch is getting some first team reps in practice this week and everyone will be more prepared for the contingency plan if things go sideways early vs. Vandy.
  3. IMO the best case scenario is for Quinn's NFL future is one HC really likes him and drafts him in the 2nd/3rd round and lets him sit behind an established starter for a couple of years.
  4. I watched the Brooks Austin (Georgia "film guy") video breaking down Quinn's performance vs. Michigan after that game. He was very complimentary of Quinn's play and Sark's playcalling, but was also commenting on Wink Martindale running obvious Cover 3 the entire game which made it easier to pick them apart. Venables and Kirby use a lot more disguises and variety on defense, which seems to confuses and rattle QE. The most infuriating part of Quinn's game is his footwork. The guy spent a year at Ohio State and is on his 3rd year with Sark and Milwee. I have no doubt proper footwork has been taught and stressed by all. It just seems that once Quinn gets a little uncomfortable everything starts to fall apart, even the most basic fundamentals.
  5. Trust in the O-Line with all your own heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to them, and they will make your paths straight.
  6. This is fantastic news. Thought he'd be done for the year.
  7. It'll be the opposite of nitpicking. The expectations are so low at the moment that people will give him too much credit for executing simple plays. Will probably take another loss, but if Quinn comes out looking like dogshit again vs. Vandy, I could see Arch going in early. The tape on Quinn right now is horrendous. Just found this thread with 7-8 good Skycast view clips from OU game.
  8. No one is "nitpicking" Quinn. He has played like absolute dogshit for 2 straight weeks. He is struggling in literally every facet right now.
  9. Reminder what Arch looked like in his last start. I know it's just Miss State, but it was also only his 2nd start. The improvement from ULM game was obvious. Feel like this performance got overlooked due to scoring struggles due to Blue fumbles and penalties. He played great, his footwork and pocket presence were excellent and will only get better. Watch the play at 30:40 mark.
  10. Quinn moved INTO the pressure Saturday night. UGA front 7 fucking brought it all night, but the OL didn't play terribly. There was a pocket most of the time, and he didn't play in it.
  11. FWIW, without plainly stating it, Coach Erwin's comments on OTF this morning make it clear he thinks Arch should start. He's trying to be diplomatic but you can tell he's beyond frustrated with QE's play.
  12. Good QB play overcomes pressure. Bad QB play gets eaten up by it. It's the most important position in football for a reason.
  13. I think it's as simple as this: If Quinn is not 100% physically healthy right now, he shouldn't start. It's clearly affecting him mentally, and it's a disservice to the team and our season to trot him out there if he's not right. Arch is young, but we can absolutely make it work.
  14. Maybe not, but I'd bet Arch gets some first team reps this week. Again, the precedent has been set. There will be a quicker trigger to pull him again if he continue to look shitty. Now that we've lost a game, there is no room for error and Sark's urgency gets ramped up even more.
  15. I doubt anything in film study will make the coaches feel better about Quinn's performance and decision making. I've had a delayed anger with this game. Was pretty calm last night, but I'm getting more pissed about it by the hour, lol.
  16. Maybe, but the precedent has been set. He won't be QB1 for long if his injury has fucked him up this bad physically and mentally. We have no room for error now.
  17. The timing was bad. Pull Quinn in the 2nd quarter and start Arch the rest of the game? Fine. Stick with Quinn through halftime and decide in the locker room who starts/plays the 2nd half? Fine. Pulling Quinn before halftime, then putting him back in for entire 2nd half? Panic move and created more of a mess than this needs to be.
  18. Slowik's offense has been figured out by opposing DCs. Not being able to counter or adjust for 4 full quarters is really concerning.
  19. I'm pretty annoyed with how Sark handled this as well. If the starter is THAT clear in his mind, you don't pull him down 17 or 20 in the 2nd quarter. You just don't. So either they downplayed how injured Ewers was, or they actually see what we all see (that Quinn is mentally fragile and inconsistent) and pulled him in a panic move. Sark has worked very hard all year to avoid a QB controversy, and then just decided to create one all by himself by bringing Arch in before halftime. In real time, I wanted Quinn to stay in until halftime and to decide what to do from there. I definitely wanted Quinn back in on the last drive before the half since it was a 2 minute drill and maybe that could give him a spark. Really dumb IMO to put Arch back out there for a 2nd drive and we got burned with another turnover and 3 points for Georgia. Sark needs to stop complaining about the outside noise regarding this situation and take ownership of how he handled it last night.
  20. Now is the time if they're gonna do it. Vandy is salty but Arch should still be able to win that game. Then you have a bye week to get him better prepared for remaining games. I've been fully on "start Quinn, save Arch for next year" bandwagon, but if Ewers is still hurt it's malpractice to keep trotting him out there.
  21. - Will be good for team to go on the road after the spectacle/hype all of last week. - If healthy, it would be nice to give Jerrick Gibson some meaningful carries. We need more thunder out of RB room. - I expect the OL to bounce back big time - Re: Quinn...get busy living or get busy dying. Open things up and throw the ball downfield. Cant win a championship without connecting on deep balls.
  22. We've got to make the best out of Quinn for the rest of this year. UGA D was on fire last night and it's doubtful any opponent on the rest of regular season schedule can replicate that type of performance. So, assuming the O-Line bounces back strong (and I think they will), what do Sark and Quinn need to do? I say let it rip. Open things up and throw the ball down the damn field. He's got to get him in the the mindset of being aggressive. The checkdowns work against lesser competitions, but enough of that shit. Get his eyes looking downfield longer and pull the fucking trigger. I know QE struggles with deep balls, but you can't just let defenses feel comfortable playing everything within 20-30 yards of LOS. The reward is absolutely worth the risk.
