  1. The timing was bad. Pull Quinn in the 2nd quarter and start Arch the rest of the game? Fine. Stick with Quinn through halftime and decide in the locker room who starts/plays the 2nd half? Fine. Pulling Quinn before halftime, then putting him back in for entire 2nd half? Panic move and created more of a mess than this needs to be.
  2. Slowik's offense has been figured out by opposing DCs. Not being able to counter or adjust for 4 full quarters is really concerning.
  3. I'm pretty annoyed with how Sark handled this as well. If the starter is THAT clear in his mind, you don't pull him down 17 or 20 in the 2nd quarter. You just don't. So either they downplayed how injured Ewers was, or they actually see what we all see (that Quinn is mentally fragile and inconsistent) and pulled him in a panic move. Sark has worked very hard all year to avoid a QB controversy, and then just decided to create one all by himself by bringing Arch in before halftime. In real time, I wanted Quinn to stay in until halftime and to decide what to do from there. I definitely wanted Quinn back in on the last drive before the half since it was a 2 minute drill and maybe that could give him a spark. Really dumb IMO to put Arch back out there for a 2nd drive and we got burned with another turnover and 3 points for Georgia. Sark needs to stop complaining about the outside noise regarding this situation and take ownership of how he handled it last night.
  4. Now is the time if they're gonna do it. Vandy is salty but Arch should still be able to win that game. Then you have a bye week to get him better prepared for remaining games. I've been fully on "start Quinn, save Arch for next year" bandwagon, but if Ewers is still hurt it's malpractice to keep trotting him out there.
  5. - Will be good for team to go on the road after the spectacle/hype all of last week. - If healthy, it would be nice to give Jerrick Gibson some meaningful carries. We need more thunder out of RB room. - I expect the OL to bounce back big time - Re: Quinn...get busy living or get busy dying. Open things up and throw the ball downfield. Cant win a championship without connecting on deep balls.
  6. We've got to make the best out of Quinn for the rest of this year. UGA D was on fire last night and it's doubtful any opponent on the rest of regular season schedule can replicate that type of performance. So, assuming the O-Line bounces back strong (and I think they will), what do Sark and Quinn need to do? I say let it rip. Open things up and throw the ball down the damn field. He's got to get him in the the mindset of being aggressive. The checkdowns work against lesser competitions, but enough of that shit. Get his eyes looking downfield longer and pull the fucking trigger. I know QE struggles with deep balls, but you can't just let defenses feel comfortable playing everything within 20-30 yards of LOS. The reward is absolutely worth the risk.
  7. His struggle with the deep ball is a serious concern, agreed. He should be a 2nd day pick at best in the draft, and I've always thought that. But selfishly as a Texas fan, I don't give a shit if he's good or not in the NFL. Just win here. I haven't given up on that...yet.
  8. Quinn is a much better college quarterback than whatever he'll be when/if he plays in the NFL. The dude can sling it, but his footwork is terrible and he won't last long in the pros due to physical limitations and some mental blocks that still affect him. The hype with NFL draft and HS recruiting ranking has completely overrated him. That said, his NFL expectations have nothing to do with his success playing at The University of Texas. He can still lead us to the playoffs and a possible NC. But Sark needs to do a better job of calling plays to fit his strengths. Zone read and tons of PA are not gonna work against a stout DL. There is still some hubris that needs to be knocked out of Sark and he needs to adjust quicker in-game.
  9. Kirby earned the right to talk shit. He is still is a little bitch and knows what's coming. We will get our revenge next year (if not in the SEC championship game this year).
  10. I disagree. And I say that fully believing that Arch will be better than Quinn has ever been when he starts the opener next year. But Quinn with all his legitimate faults is the better option right now, and we won't face another team this year that will be as good as Georgia's defense tonight. It's another hard lesson for Sark. I think (hope?) we will be better after tonight.
  11. Not sure why I'm so calm after this game, as I was completely amped up all week thinking we were gonna play well and win tonight. The lack of any real competition halfway through the season did indeed bite us in the ass. Michigan D is good but they didn't disguise much and made life fairly easy for Quinn. He struggled last week and we assumed it was rust. Sark didn't adjust in time and panicked with pulling Quinn early. Hopefully lessons are learned. We can easily win out.
  12. Check down Charlie. I know people say no one was open down field but how do we know that without seeing the All-22 camera angle.
  13. I like Quinn and he's a very good college QB but the NFL 1st round hype has always been nonsense and oversold his talents. Sark's offense makes him look better than he is. That said, he should still start the rest of this year unless/until we lose another game. Arch needs one more offseason to become the man.
  14. Their DL whipped our OL and we weren't prepared for it. That was the ball game.
  15. OU dominating the second half, I'm telling you JUST GIVE VENABLES A FEW MORE YEARS HE WILL FIGURE IT OUT.
  16. BREAKING: Ted Cruz has chartered a plane and is currently en route to Norman for a photo op
  17. Not sure how half that stadium doesn't go home at halftime.
  18. Love this uptempo OU offense filled with QB and HB dives. Good stuff.
  19. Fitting. 20 bucks to enter, get to watch a toothless performance, leave without scoring.
  20. Littrell will be sacrificed by sundown.
  21. Casey Thompson is their 3rd string QB? How can they not put him at this point?
  22. Yes, keep him far away from OU and the SEC in general.
