Feel like this clip is a perfect microcosm for what's going on in the world. Connie Chung ringing the alarm bells, while her POS husband Maury Povich tries to downplay and normalize it. This interview was almost 3 weeks ago.

2025-26 Houston Rockets Thread - Back to Contention?
- I agree with Mitch that Shepard got exposed defensively last night. I still think he can improve, but right now it's a liability. He needs to continue to get stronger and more physical. - Jabari has reached his ceiling. He can make big shots, but totally overrated as a defender and he's just a little too stiff athletically. His contract is fine, having him out there is fine, but expectations should be tempered. - Since Houston is considered a real contender this year and with the addition of Durant, we're gonna get opponents best shot every night. Don't think they've adapted well to that yet. Last year we were able to sneak up on the league a little bit and took advantage of it in the W/L column. - The individual pieces are there, still looking for best lineups and defining roles to maximize potential. I think Ime will figure it out.

The reality is all of our institutions are deeply compromised at this point. The authoritarian regime and billionaire class are trying to force all this shit on us (including AI). Rejecting this bullshit and potentially hurting their pocketbooks is the one thing we have some control over.

I'm not saying it moves the needle a lot. But I don't look at rejecting CBS News as giving up. It's taking a stand.

What are the other options? Staying the course which ends up validating and normalizing this stuff? The potential cancellation of 60 Minutes and downfall of CBS News is gonna set off more alarms than a continued Trumpified version of it.

- The Democratic Party
All of these results should be framed as "a quite startling underperformance for Republicans". It's a more factual read on what is happening. There is no Democratic Party momentum. People are rejecting the GOP and Trump.- Media Bias Thread
That's not the bar they're trying to set. You're buying her bullshit. The whole point of Ellison and Weiss taking over CBS News is to normalize pro-Trump and pro-Israel "policies" and rhetoric. They will enthusiastically rehash "old" stories if it paints Trump and/or Israel in a positive light.- Media Bias Thread
60 Minutes asked the Trump administration to comment/participate, and they refused to do so.- Charlie Kirk got ded, Erika Kirk grifts in place
If Joffrey Baratheon and Ramsay Bolton had a baby, the first shit that baby takes would be JD Vance.- Media Bias Thread
You can't "fight the good fight" as a CBS journalist in this situation. Ellison gave Bari the keys to create a "palatable" pro-Trump and pro-Israel news division. The goal is to manipulate and further shift the Overton window right with middle of the road viewers. If the key staff members all leave, that will get tons of coverage and longtime 60 Minutes viewers will walk away from the show. In the end, ratings are all that matter. If people stop watching, then Bari Weiss fails.- Media Bias Thread
Good. That's fine, let her have it. No one would watch Bari's vision of 60 Minutes, it would effectively kill off the show. This is a line in the sand moment.- Media Bias Thread

WIth the "basketball" being a severed head of an immigrant, and the hats proudly being "MADE IN THE USA" (aka Alligator Alcatraz pre-deportation slave camp).- BOOM MOTHER FUCKER - Will Muschamp's Triumphant Return
I mean, we've been talking about this for years. Outside of this past offseason, Sark has been an excellent off the field coach. Generally made good coaching hires, top tier recruiting classes, and effective portal additions with solid player retainment. In that role as "CEO", he's generally been very good. The culture feels like its still in a good place even after this very rocky season. His biggest issues have been on game day. Whether it's been poor second half adjustments, play calling, or overall game management and decision making. That's where the warts come out. Probably the lowlight example of all this was the Georgia game in Austin last year. Benching Ewers in the first half felt like a total panic move to me. Quinn was terrible, don't get me wrong, but the way that was handled was really poor. IMO it was a sign that Sark was overwhelmed in that moment. He's gonna be the playcaller, period. So lightening his overall responsibilities on game day makes sense.- BOOM MOTHER FUCKER - Will Muschamp's Triumphant Return
Too many of y'all are dreaming of a Sark that doesn't exist. He calls plays. It's why he got the job and it's why he wants to coach.- BOOM MOTHER FUCKER - Will Muschamp's Triumphant Return
LOL, "throwaway line". It's literally the first point he brings up when he discussed why he hired Mushcamp. This how KVUE covered it.- Dallas Cowboys 2025 season thread: 8-9 and divine. The world according to Jerry
Every time I'm reminded that Brian Schottenheimer is the Dallas Cowboys Head Coach, I laugh.- Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Quinn Ewers died on the cross for every teammate's sins.- Hey PK -- What would you say you do here?
Good one! I'm critical of Sark. He blew it this past year. The titty baby crying about how unfairly he's treating PK is disingenuous. It's done. Grow up. - The Democratic Party
