  1. As a Texas fan, I would love if Jackson Arnold went to Miss State. As a sports fan, I think it would be really dumb for Lebby to screw over Van Buren.
  2. We're on Year 3 with Quinn, winning lots of games and second year in the playoffs. It's a good position to be in. But I think a lot of fans have forgotten what great/clutch QB play looks like.
  3. It is 100% on the table that our offense is held to 20 or less points vs. Clemson. In that scenario, there are plenty of ways we can lose. Sark needs to take ownership of our struggles on that side of the ball and fix it. You cannot ask the defense to bail you out every single week, especially in the postseason. He's got 2 weeks to figure something out.
  4. This is a lazy take. Arch's ceiling is being a generational QB and he's the most nationally hyped player we've ever had. He'll deservedly have a very long leash with fans.
  5. Have to remove this route and throw from the playbook right now. The competition is too good, Ewers is not 100%, a very long sideline throw, the risk is not worth the reward. There have to be easier ways to get a first down.
  6. That reminds me, did ya'll hear pre-game where one of the reporters mentioned that Quinn said he was "75%" before the game? WTF? WHAT THE FUCK????
  7. Let's remember that the issues most people are bringing up are not specific to the UGA game and were discussed in games we won. So these aren't reactionary criticisms out of nowhere because we lost. I agree this was not one of Quinn's worst games. There are 20 things we did wrong, not all on Quinn. But some on here will act like Quinn is just 1 of 11 players on the field and that everyone needs to do their job equally, which is ridiculous. QBs are paid the big bucks (literally, now in college) to make plays.
  8. Watching the replay, what I love about the Arch run vs. A&M is he wasn't trying to get a 1st down. He was trying to score. Fucking A.
  9. I uploaded it to Surly. I think you can download but not sure if it can be linked.
  10. Put together a highlight reel for Arch's 2024 season. Hopefully we can add stuff from the playoffs. arch season highlights.mp4
  11. No, I don't think he's self sabotaging. I agree with your second sentence.
  12. The logic works. He just doesn't want to bench a 3 year starter that has led us to 11 wins so far. Sark has had a succession plan for awhile and wants to stick to it.
  13. Momentum is very real and very important in these big SEC matchups. Watching their games over the years, Kirby and Saban are so cognizant and intentional to gain momentum or steal it back. Kirby knew Texas took back the momentum after we tied it up at 13. The fake punt was a necessary risk, he had to get momentum back right there. It's a killer instinct that Sark needs to develop. I was just thinking about the 1st play of overtime where Arch came in. That was a holy shit! moment in a good way. Bam, run for 5 yards. Imagine if Sark had the stones to leave him in. Run it again. Then run it again. Maybe pass, or just run it again. Just Wild Arch are way into the endzone. It would have been epic and on par with some of the ballsy decisions we've seen in SEC games over the years.
  14. We're just talking in circles, man. If the goal was to establish a running game from the start, who knows what would have happened. Maybe we go 3 and out. Maybe Wisner fumbles. Maybe he breaks one and gives the o-line some early confidence. In the end, it doesn't matter now. We decided to put the game in Quinn's hands. I think he flashed enough to give us a chance to win in the end. Didn't happen. We move on.
  15. I'm specifically talking to start the game. I wasn't begging for running calls in the 2nd half. We needed to throw to move the ball.
  16. You're cherry picking drives. Our 3rd drive of the game started with a 5 yard run and then a 10 yard run with Wisner. I brought up the first drive for a reason, as it is scripted. I'm not saying we should have pounded the ball. It was TOUGH sledding out there. But when you say we've found an identity in the run game, then come out throwing on 6 of the first 7 plays (like we seemingly do a lot), you're not trying to establish a run game at the outset.
  17. Sark just loves to come out passing no matter what. First drive - - Pass - Pass - Pass - Pass - Sack - Run (on 2nd and 11) - INT
  18. This stuff is so funny. BTW, thank God for Ewers that our defense stopped A&M at the 1 yard line last week. If they score to make it 17-14, even if we win there would have been a ton more heat on Quinn heading into this week. Ignore the bad shit in wins, focus on the good shit in losses...the life of a Longhorn sunshine pumper.
  19. We were told there would be no brakes.
  20. I appreciate him vocalizing it, but it's very frustrating to hear anyways. Sark needs to throw out any concerns about the QB situation and do whatever it takes to win. Treat every game as its own entity. FWIW, over Thanksgiving weekend I was talking to a friend of a friend who has a kid that is a scholarship offensive player at Texas. The kid said Arch tears it up in practice and makes eye opening plays on a daily basis. That's not an indictment on Quinn in any way, just a heads up for those that assume Arch must be struggling in practice and that being the reason he isn't playing more.
  21. Yep, looks like another ACL. Hopefully not, but brutal anyways.
  22. Last night was an opportunity to get some back. He already lost most of the coin.
