  1. I'm sure there are quite a few people on here that have some connection to the Taaffe family, my "source" thinks he goes to the NFL after this year, with the assumption he has some reassurances he will get drafted. Kinda surprised me but if pro football is his dream then I don't blame him for going after the season he's had.
  2. I have zero doubt you are a legit, great Texas fan in real life. At first I thought you were just a sunshine pumper defending Quinn, but you clearly have no issue criticizing other players, editing a lowlight reel of Arch, and posting articles about Texas greats as criticism and in defense of Ewers. It's a little strange. So the only thing that makes sense to me is you have some personal connection to Ewers. Which is cool and awesome, if true. But let us know.
  3. I guess A&M football and their fanbase really have changed since 2011. 13 years without us and shitting the bed in the SEC has left them all dead inside at this point. I'm now actually kinda pissed about the game on Saturday night. They all laid down like dogs the minute Texas stepped on the field. Total submission. Crowd was worthless, team was worthless. It irks me that I even stressed about it for a second.
  4. Mahomes and Ewers have the same QB trainer, Jeff Christensen. FYI.
  5. Chalamet just bought the rights to "I Put the Honkey in McConkey: Also Phil is not my Dad" and is set to star as Ladd McConkey based on his memoir.
  6. I did. First of all, Mahomes was struggling last season with the deep ball. Obviously it's one reason they drafted Worthy, but also Rashee Rice being out makes things harder for everyone. And the first article puts plenty of blame on Mahomes. You have wrapped yourself in such a knot about Quinn that you're digging up articles to deflect criticism onto former Horns in the NFL. It's ridiculous.
  7. Are you blaming Xavier Worthy for Patrick Mahomes' struggles?
  8. The Bama-OU result was maybe the most shocking of the season for me. I literally did not see a situation where Bama wouldn't win, and even the Sooners I know felt the same way. If "disqualifying" 3rd losses existed, that was it. And the Sooners getting pasted the following week by a shitty LSU team just re-confirmed it.
  9. The ratings for the Texas/A&M game weren't even very good. Under 10 million and well below OSU/Michigan game. All the hype and pageantry ended up being incredibly overstated. I bought into it, too. Never again. No one gives a shit about A&M.
  10. JT Sanders was/is awesome. I think the vast majority of us were taken by surprise by how dominant Helm has looked all year. Regarding the typical responsibilities and expectations of a Tight End, Helm has been better. It's been huge for us. He's a Kelce starter kit and I expects some NFL organization will fall in love with him and take him early (2nd round).
  11. LOL please keep us posted, seriously.
  12. No, you don't. Not in that scenario and position on the field.
  13. Due to pressure/footwork/injury, he had nothing on that throw even if it wasn't tipped. You're asking any QB to be incredibly accurate with perfect anticipation to make that route work. Bad call, bad decision by Quinn. He saw what looked like LB running free up the middle and just kind of panicked.
  14. Making that throw in the pocket is extremely dangerous and foolish. If he's not rolling out, that route shouldn't be even considered as an option IMO.
  15. True, but hate the playcall as well. 1-on-1 that needs to be a route and throw into the endzone.
  16. First time I've watched that play multiple times. Watch him whip is left leg to avoid contact on that bum ankle. Hopefully he feels a lot more comfortable physically out there this week.
  17. Newsflash: QB is the most important position in sports. When they play well, they get their flowers. When they don't, they get lots of criticism. Quinn was the #1 ranked player in the country out of HS. He is a millionaire from his time at Texas. He has shown flashes of brilliance, it's ok to expect more.
  18. Pass pro needs to be better, but time in the pocket is not the biggest issue. It's Quinn. We need the good version for 4 quarters on Saturday.
  19. Finally watched the UGA-Georgia Tech game. Jesus. Feel terrible for the Yellow Jackets, absolutely should have won in regulation. Based on the success Haynes King was having running the ball, you have to think Sark will have an expanded role for Arch ready. I hope we see a more aggressive, vertical passing attack with Quinn this week. Doubtful the short stuff is gonna work as I expect UGA defense will try to blow that up early. Run the ball and throw down the field. LFG.
  20. Can't believe the quality of this footage.
  21. He can say the words, but doubtful it will resonate with his players like it did in the first matchup.
  22. Let's make a gif
  23. "I fasusi many trips to the Autozone Liberty Bowl in your future..."
