  1. Dude balled out last year on ST and the few carries he got, knew he was a winner even then. So happy for him. Forever a Texas legend.
  2. I’m crying tears of joy, dumbass! Hook’em!
  3. Yea they were both bad. I’m still happy we won.
  4. I’m proud of the heart Quinn played with tonight. The two turnovers were bad, game shouldn’t have been stressful at all. But we won, and I’m happy for him, and for us. Next week is next week. Hook’em!
  5. Yeah, I think it's his left ankle.
  6. FWIW, CJ Vogel expects Quinn to listed as "questionable" on the next Availability Report. Which is the right move IMO whether he's ready to go or not.
  7. If Quinn's ankle is truly a concern, then the assumption is Sark will get Arch good reps this week and prepare a gameplan for him. We'll be fine. Either Ewers starts and finishes the game playing well, or we have a fucking ringer with Manning whose strengths create a serious issue for the Aggie defense.
  8. I'm guessing it was The Meadows in Arizona. That's the rehab center we signed up and paid for. Menninger gave us 3 options but seemed to push that place the most.
  9. It's an interesting subject. In my amateur opinion, the Three High look we've seen this year is just to ensure Quinn keeps his eyes on short/intermediate routes, and he generally acquiesces. It makes sense. Keep the ball in front of you, bend don't break, you (hope to) have some help in the back when Texas runs their screens and slants. Trying to eliminate big plays and forcing longer drives that can end up with FGs or turnovers is the goal vs. Texas. When Quinn does throw deep, the numbers are usually there in our favor. It's just a complete bugaboo for him. To me, the deep ball is necessary to throw deep ball completions that go for big yards and/or TDs. Why would anyone load up on the run against us? Kentucky might have been the first game this year where we truly were focused and willing to pound the ball. And it was probably because Quinn's injury almost forced Sark into it. I'm glad we did. Sark is usually incredibly pass happy, to the point where passes in the flat are basically runs, which is another reason to be in the defensive look above. Hopefully we give the running game a worthy look on Saturday night instead of giving up on it before kickoff.
  10. Correct. Trump already won his war on Election Day. He doesn't give a shit about what happens next.
  11. It was 15k for a week long evaluation for someone close to me about 3 years ago. Everyone at Menninger was polite and professional. Overall a good experience. But it didn't take long for me to realize they missed the proper diagnosis. Their recommendation was a 45 day rehab out of state (cost $60k) to get "sober" (substance abuse was never a major concern), and it changed absolutely nothing for the better. I've wanted to reach out to Menninger about it, but never did.
  12. Yep. Maybe it's not as big of a deal as we're making it out to be, but I definitely was thinking of the UGA game. Celebrities all over the field and the lead up to the game almost felt like a Texas coronation. It has to be a little overwhelming.
  13. Sounds weird to say but I'm happy this first game back in the rivalry is at Kyle Field. The hype and pageantry leading into this game could be a distraction for A&M. That shithole will be buzzing all week heading into Saturday night. We get to go on a business trip while they have to deal with way more bullshit outside the locker room.
  14. I'm happy with the wins. The issues with Quinn are always anticipatory for me. I've been convinced for weeks that he'll get injured in the A&M game. Aggies are physical (and dirty) under Elko. As it ends up, he gets hurt the week before. So that concern is/was valid. Some football players seem prone to injury, unfortunately Quinn is one of them. Him being able to move around the pocket (and out of it) seems crucial for offensive success in this game. I'm also concerned with struggles throwing the ball 20 yards past the LOS. Would have liked to see improvement there over the last month, but it hasn't really happened. I think that will catch up with us. Maybe it doesn't matter vs. A&M or even the SEC Championship game if we get there. But deep ball issues put too much stress on other team areas having to be great to perfect. It feels unsustainable.
  15. Well, here's a palate cleanser. Hopefully Quinn can recapture this at Kyle Field. Great footwork and overall urgency running the offense that night. Everything he did out there looks faster and better.
  16. We didn't miss the point. I could spend a whole day editing a lowlight clip of Quinn over 3 years that will make him look just as bad if not worse. But that would be shitty thing to do IMO, and while I'm critical of Quinn, that's below the belt as a Texas fan.
  17. Ok, so actually no one is doing that. And you only have to go back 2-3 months to see talk of him being a top 5 pick and 1st QB taken in the NFL draft. I think that sums up why this thread is a shit show and people are all over the place with their opinions on Quinn. It's an absolute roller coaster ride with him. But as an olive branch towards @Thatguy and you other clowns (/s), I will post the roller coaster scene from Parenthood and try to have Grandma's attitude about it. For now. Hook'em.
  18. Quinn and Arch are almost polar opposite QBs. Arch instinctually looks downfield first, which I think is great. You'd rather try to tame the aggressiveness instead of having to encourage it. I know Sark criticized that aggressiveness in the ULM game (and rightfully so) and he wanted Arch to play smarter. Then Arch did that in the Miss State game where he went 26/31 for 325 yds (and would have been closer to 400 if Johntay doesn't drop a breadbasket deep ball for a TD) and was able to make some safer throws while still going deep in the right spots. Quinn really tries to avoid any contested throws, therefore it's a different style of football. Way more passes within 5-10 yards of the LOS, that's where he's comfortable. But even with a "safer" passing attack, Quinn still makes a lot of WTF plays and is very inconsistent. It's just who he is. I think most fans believe this is how Sark wants to run his offense, but I don't think so. He's curated it to fit Quinn's strengths. Look at Mac Jones's Alabama highlights. Way more explosive offense. Next year with Arch will look a lot different.
  19. Quinn is very inconsistent. In his 3rd year as a starter. He has regressed with the deep ball to the point it's become a joke. I'm also not saying Arch should be the starter. He needs to be ready if Quinn gets hurt or looks lost again like the UGA game. He also showed clear improvement between his first start (ULM) and his 2nd start (Miss State). It's a very good sign. I don't see why Texas fans shouldn't be incredibly excited about his potential and what he's shown us so far on the field. I hope we see the best Quinn on Saturday night.
  20. I'm not gonna do Quinn dirty like that, even though everyone knows his lowlight reel would be just as bad or worse, especially considering plenty of them would be in this 3rd year as a starter
  21. People on this thread have highlighted individual plays that they have issues with. ThatGuy made a Best of The Worst of Arch compilation.
  22. YOU ARE MAKING SHIT UP ABOUT PRACTICE. Stop.
