  1. 100% agree. Enough of this shit.
  2. Yeah, but DSAs outside of NY are not producing any national names or candidates. Really good at organizing, but where has that gotten us? I voted for Bernie in 2016 and 2020. So I'm not asking the left to convince me to vote for their ideas. Give me some goddamn candidates that are worth a shit.
  3. I think an underdiscussed issue within the failing Democratic party is the lack of actual identity from the "far" left. What the hell do we have to show after Bernie's run in 2016? He ran again with less success in 2020. AOC is the other big name in national politics, but I think the reality is it's easy to get swallowed up when you're just one of many Representatives in a dead duck political system. Mamdani is currently the face of the party as a young mayoral candidate. Is Bernie gonna run AGAIN in 2028? I don't see any other legitimate option at the moment. The leftist ideas have gained popularity but haven't produced multiple - let alone, one - national figure to take over for Bernie in the last decade? It's crazy. IMO it feels like they haven't shown enough maturity to self-scout and figure out what they're doing wrong. And one of the things that infuriates me about the left in general is how the world view revolves around NYC. 95% of the "influencers" and commentators seem to live within a couple miles of Brooklyn. We've got Bernie (born in NY), AOC, and Mamdani. I beg the left to start lifting up voices in other parts of the country, and to start strategizing like there is a world outside of the five boroughs.
  4. LatinX almost felt like a psyop. Such a weird moment that come out of nowhere.
  5. Interestingly, this was the one guy they were most tempered about, at least for this year. They basically insinuated he could be a liability if an offense uses any misdirection, and a simple pass rush is the ideal way to use him.
  6. Summary of latest OU Breakdown with Lehman and Ikard: True or redshirt freshmen that will play a significant role this season: - Reiterating that Fasusi might start at LT, and "that's why we paid him all that money". Quick, smart, tough. Has improved a lot since the Spring. Mention Kelvin Banks's success as freshman. - RB Tory Blaylock doesn't look like a freshman and is ready to play. Been running with the 2s. Not bad in pass pro. Fast, quick, explosive. Put on 20 pounds in the offseason. The excitement is off the charts with this guy. Even with healthy Ott, they expect Blaylock to get lots of touches. - OL Ryan Fodje - he is everything OU staff was hoping he would be. He will play "a lot" in opener vs. Illinois State. Gigantic bruiser at RG. - WR Elijah Thomas - too explosive and too dynamic not to play significant snaps. Future superstar per Lehman. They expect big moments from him this year but needs to improve in technical aspects. - EDGE Danny Okoye - Gabe and Teddy getting hard talking about his frame. "NFL ready body type". Ability off the charts, still raw. Has made tremendous strides in one year. Should be rushing the passer on 3rd and long. Will be in the 4 guy rotation at DE. - DB Courtland Guillory - they will be shocked if he's not playing significant snaps this year. Ikard thinks he could be best cover corner on roster. Lehman is more cautious and wants to see how he responds to adversity in a real game, but still says he's been "shockingly great". Been practicing with the 1s. - DB Jeremiah Newcombe - can play multiple positions, reminds Lehman of Bowman. Physical, shifty. He will play, but they're not sure where.
  7. Elephant Graveyard dropped another masterpiece. Glad he goes after Hinchcliffe as well.
  8. "I have big tits..." "...and an Ashkenazi IQ."
  9. Also add that Texas beating any Big XII team outside of OU was considered table stakes by everyone. If we win we were supposed to, if we lose we get shit on. Miserable experience and I'm so happy we are out of that conference.
  10. Correct. Particularly Lehman. But they're easy to read when peddling bullshit.
  11. Also spent a lot of $$$ on Fasusi. They want to see immediate return.
  12. Yeah but the lack of effort was glaring. I'm not posting this as a knock on Ewers, but people were pointing to his Florida performance/stats as a counter to his post-injury struggles. Look at this pathetic shit from UF.
  13. I'm almost convinced UF threw the game last year in Austin. Hideous on both sides of the ball. Least prepared or inspired team we faced all season.
  14. It'd be really nice if Brandon Baker excels from the get-go.
  15. Was living in LA at the time and drove up for the game. I vaguely remember we would have been like #2 or #3 in the country with a win. I think Tiger Woods gave a pre-game speech to the Stanford players. Pathetic home crowd, was like a high school football game. Horrible loss.
  16. Watching Ikard & Lehman on OU Breakdown right now in the background. Going through their big training camp questions from a few weeks ago and where things stand now. - Cornerback - They like the depth but seem concerned about the health of Eli Bowen and Gentry Williams. - WR - They still cannot identify who there #1 receiver is. They mention a bunch of names without a lot of confidence or excitement. - Fususi has been practicing with the 1s. He will play a lot this year. He might win LT job over Sexton(who's been hurt). Ikard says that starting 5 is still up in the air, but feels much better than last year at this point. They think they're deep at OL. - Raving about Mateer's back shoulder throws. Said Mateer and Hawkins both look great. - They believe true freshman RB Tory Blaylock is gonna be very good and will play this year. - DL Jayden Jackson looks like the best player on the field at times. They expect David Stone to make a big jump. - TE Jaren Kanak is gonna have a big role in this offense
  17. I think Bobby prefers the sunshine pumping dum-dums. Surly assholes are not very program friendly and he wants to keep things positive and simple on OTF.
  18. Fuck Yarn and Spacer. The internet is such a broken shitshow these days.
  19. LMAO reading that thread. You tried, but these 9.95 posters will never change. 99% of non moderator content on there is unreadable.
  20. Gerry still talks highly of him. But I too was hoping he'd compete for starting C this year.
  21. Since we're mostly flying blind here, it this possibly a sign of Neto losing his starting job at LG? Inserting Robertson at starting C seems like a tell.
  22. It's the off-schedule runs with Arch that we'll need the most. That will open everything up on offense.
