  1. So as of right now, Walz, Shapiro and Mark Kelly are scheduled to meet with Kamala in D.C. tomorrow for VP interviews. Buttigieg met with Kamala yesterday I believe, and he was out fundraising for her in NH today. Pritzker had a Zoom with Kamala already. Pritzker's definitely out of the running, probably Pete as well. Haven't seen any updates yet regarding Beshear.
  2. Not really. There are better options. "He helps in Pennsylvania" doesn't really move the needle enough for me.
  3. These Republican fuckers are giving up the game with their push for Shapiro. Sad that Enten also falls for it. Should Shapiro being Jewish be a negative? Of course not. Will Republicans use it as a dividing force to muck up this entire election but take cover by blaming the left? Absolutely.
  4. I do too. But he'd have to answer a lot more questions about this shit, and it would take up way too much oxygen in this campaign.
  5. If he's the pick, get ready for Trump and the GOP focusing more on what constitutes a "good" Jew and a "bad" Jew and the Israel/Palestine conflict, and the media lapping it up for views/engagement. Since Rs are having a hard time figuring out how to attack Kamala, they will zero in on Shapiro. Do we really want to invite this situation right now while trying to unite the party to win an election? Still have faith that Kamala and her team will go with Walz or Beshear.
  6. Choosing a VP to get 1-2 points in one swing state is just bonkers. Burn down the electoral college.
  7. Yep. And I've seen a few Republican strategists on TV all say Kamala should pick Shapiro. Culture war would be turned up to 11.
  8. This reminded me of an interview years ago with Buttigieg, where he said Republicans did such an effective job of moving this country right in the 70's/80's that Bill Clinton had historically conservative views as a Democratic President. EDIT: Found it and timestamped
  9. Shapiro won by 14 points. But Mastriano was a historically bad R candidate.
  10. One of many VP candidate meetings she'll be having through the weekend.
  11. This has already been debunked and please don't post Ian Miles Cheong bullshit in here.
  12. I don't think Pete is as risky as Shapiro. But the issue is Pete is so talented in so many ways, you don't feel the urgency to pigeonhole him as VP in this moment. He is a policy wonk, great campaigner, quick learner. You could make an argument for him to be the Secretary of anything. And he's still young. Buttigieg will have no hard feelings if he's passed up as VP. He will continue to work hard in whatever other capacity they find for him.
  13. Can't Shapiro and Kelly vigorously campaign and help win AZ and PA without being VP? I still don't understand why you have have to pick one of them in order to win either state.
  14. "Really a lot of the health problems in this country are mental. And the mental will be much better with me as President. People are much happier when I'm President. The mental will be very good, maybe the best it's ever been. You won't even have to go to the doctor. Doctor visits will go way, way down."
  15. Potential VPs bitchslapping Vance in a debate Buttigieg, Shapiro, Beshear Walz
