  1. "Anyway, like I was sayin', the couch is the lady bits of furniture. You can rub it, grind on it, make love to it, massage it, lick it, play with it. There's um, sectional couches, love seats, modular couches. Camelback, Chaise, Divan, Mid-Century Modern, Chesterfield, Lawson, English Roll Arm, Daybed, Serpentine, Recamier. That's- that's about it."
  2. JD Vance: "Sweet Jesus. Let's do this." Videographer: "But the girl isn't here yet." JD Vance (taking off suit jacket): "Time waits for no one. Lock the door on the way out, will ya?"
  3. One of his neighbors at Yale said every time JD would blast "When You Wish Upon a Star" in his room they knew he was about to begin and finish a couch fuck session.
  4. This is Buttigieg's communication superpower. We don't need him to be VP, but he needs to be a BIG part of this campaign. https://the.ink/p/free-pete-buttigieg-bridges-communication Why is it so hard for Democrats to explain things in a certain language? I'm not asking you to put down anybody else, but can you talk a little bit about your philosophy of communication? You do seem to come at it just differently from lots of people in your world. You come from a different background in multiple ways than maybe lots of your colleagues. Again, not putting anybody else down, but what is your philosophy of communication when it comes to reaching other people, tapping into other people's moral frames, being able to be kind of hearable to people while also insisting on your truths? Tell me a little bit about your philosophy of communication. I was raised with more progressive values in a very conservative place. I was very different from a lot of the people around me. And I think when you're around when you stick out, when you're different, there's different ways you can approach that. One is to just conform. I couldn't do that. I couldn't just conform to values or styles that weren't me. Another is to kind of do the opposite, to just kind of rage against all the things that you don't align with. But another is to figure out how you can engage people. Often, I think about, honestly, sometimes I even think about this with media folks on the right that I might be in an appearance with, like a somewhat hostile interviewer. And I just think about the guy at the end of the bar in South Bend, Indiana who I don't just know but like, who also has political views that I find horrifying. How would I talk to him? How did I talk to him? I mean, this is not a hypothetical. And it's different if you imagine liking and caring for the people you're talking to. It doesn't mean you're always going to get through to them, but it begins to give you the terms to meet people where they are without pretending to be like them more than you are. And it turns out people also respect that. We all know from a mile away when someone is insincerely trying to clothe themselves in our values or our style in order to appeal to us, right? And young people in particular have a nose for that, but we all do. Sometimes you get more respect from somebody who you still haven't won over in terms of convincing them that they were wrong and you're right, but maybe moved them an inch because they saw why you believe what you believe. And if you just explain what you believe in terms that make sense to you and could make sense to them, they can see it. They can feel it. I think there's something really powerful in that.
  5. Good. Throw everyone's hat in the ring. Dem voters will be happy with whoever is picked if every legit option is considered.
  6. Shapiro can and will campaign hard for Kamala in PA as Governor. I don't understand why he'd have to be on the ticket in order to win the state. Hell, many Pennsylvanians would probably be pissed if he left the governorship after 18 months.
  7. I'd throw out any norms with Presidential elections this cycle. Vance is a weak link and everyone knows it. Even if they try to hide him Dems will continue to pounce. Trump won't be able to handle the embarrassment.
  8. He can blame Democrats for changing the ticket and "breaking the rules" or whatever bullshit that comes out of his mouth.
  9. Agree with this premise and it's not worth the risk with Shapiro. I hope Kamala's team is very patient with selecting and announcing the VP pick. Trump is gonna dump Vance. They have a legitimate built-in excuse, as they selected couch fucker against a Biden-Harris ticket. They need to "go in another direction" with Kamala at the top of the ticket. The longer Kamala waits, the longer Trump has to deal with all the negative Vance press and Kamala rising in the polls. Force them to make the new VP move first.
  10. They'll get Vance to quit and name someone else. I give it a week, tops.
  11. Two nights in a row with Pete on TV. Before both interviews started the host mentioned that Buttigieg was there in a private capacity, not as Secretary. Gives himself cover to go after these motherfuckers. Haha, love it.
  12. The beauty of this is that the Presidential race wasn't the only thing that flipped. Now the conversations amongst friends/family/colleagues have flipped. After the Biden debate, Trumpers were more eager to discuss politics. They saw an opening to defend their Trump vote and rail on Biden's condition for a few weeks with way less pushback, and I think that had an effect on the overall electorate. Herd mentality is real. Now with Joe out, Dem voters have the mic again and can confidently defend Kamala and re-focus on all the Trump shittiness. I think we're probably still a week or two away from the real poll bounce for Kamala.
  13. They are all COWARDS. Always have been. As Brisket alluded to, metaphorically punch them in the face and watch what happens.
  14. "...these men are nihilists, there's nothing to be afraid of." - Walter Sobchak Trump and the GOP have NOTHING to run on. They believe in NOTHING. Call them out. Make fun of them. Fight. Stop being afraid. These people are weak. They will crumble.
  15. I like the offense we're running. It's like when Mack/GD finally ditched the ancient playbook and let VY be VY.
  16. Which reminds me, keep Hillary far away from this campaign.
  17. "They didn't want to vote for a Clinton" seems like an effective reply to "they won't for a woman".
