  1. See how easy this is? Now unleash Mayor Pete on TV for the next few months as he can now fully destroy Trump/Vance with Kamala at the top of the ticket.
  2. Apparently it's gonna take a little while for the Biden propagandists to re-enter reality. Hopefully the madness wears off by the morning.
  3. Hillary didn't lose because she was a woman. She lost because she's a Clinton.
  4. Trump outperformed polling in 2016 and 2020. So if the polls are wrong, he's probably winning by more than we think.
  5. That would've made sense as the original pitch for Biden running for a second term. We're way past that being able to work.
  6. Fighting for this man to stay in the race is elder abuse.
  7. A lot of people aren't thoughtful or care enough to think of Trump as a fascist. Look, I understand it's very hard to be empathetic with anyone that is considering voting for Trump. I've felt the same way. But people live their own lives with their own priorities/values and level of interest in politics & government. You have to meet people where they are in this situation if you are strategically trying to defeat Trump. EDIT: Want to be clear that I'm not trying to diminish how a Trump presidency affects you or anyone else. I understand the threat and fully agree with how dangerous another 4 years will be.
  8. A lot of people don't treat this decision like life and death. We have to understand and recognize this.
  9. Full text: One reason I doubt there’ll be a “mini primary” now is that I don’t think the other major candidates would run. There’s not enough time for them to win support. The process would be too unclear. Party is too exhausted. Harris looks too strong. (People shouldn’t underestimate how closely party elites have been watching her these last few weeks, and how much she’s shifted opinions in her favor.) You might get some token opposition from people who want to raise their profiles, do CNN town halls, etc - which could be good for Harris because her win would be both contested and overwhelming — but strongly doubt you’d get Newsom, Whitmer (already said she won’t run), Shapiro, Beshear, etc. Safer for them to position for VP or 2028. If Biden had stepped aside weeks ago it might’ve been different. If Jaime Harrison had been thinking through options rather than making himself a Biden-no-matter-what guy, maybe it would have been different. But that’s my read of where the party is now. (Caveats: Everything is fluid, Biden might still just refuse to step aside, if Harris falters that could change sentiment, etc)
  10. Correct. And you can go even further and ask what can he do right now to not fall even further behind?
  11. In 2020, Joe Biden was getting his ass kicked in Iowa and NH primaries. A lot of people were thirsty for new blood leading the Dem ticket. Then the SC primary happened. A major event. And the entire race flipped and basically ended that night. Everyone was asked to stand down and get in line with Joe. They weren't excited about it (including me), but obviously you vote for Joe and defeat Trump. A major event happened at that Presidential debate last month. Like SC basically ending Bernie and Pete and Warren/etc. chances of winning the primary, this recent Presidential debate ended Joe's chances. Now it's time for Biden Dems to return the fucking favor, and they fucking dig their heels in. Fuck.
  12. And LOL at Florida poll mattering. Trump might win by double digits.
