  1. Trump probably wants Tate to head his Department of Sex Education (DOSE).
  2. I do not buy your first sentence. Sark is stubborn, he had a succession plan going into 2024 and wanted to stick to it. There was no pressure coming from Arch's family. He felt he could win a national championship with a hobbled Ewers. That is going to be the mentally healthy way to look back at it when Arch kicks ass this year.
  3. Good win but wish I would've gone to bed after the 3rd quarter.
  4. RIP, Gene. I think he's been in rough shape for a while. I saw him out in Santa Fe 5-6 years ago and he was declining then. EDIT: Jesus, I just read the article. Horrible.
  5. He's also responsible for the deaths of 83 children in Samoa.
  6. Mentioning Stormare brings up another memory. It's been almost 30 years so @henrygandorf might be able to correct me if I'm misremembering this story. HG and I were young aspiring film writers. We spent a summer in LA, and HG interned at Meg Ryan's production company. He'd bring back dozens of scripts (maybe that's where he got the Big Lebowski screenplay). Anyways I read every one of these scripts that came through, and was very up to date on the business and knew all the good screenwriters. During SXSW around 1998, HG and I were at Paradise ($2 Dos Equis pints on Thursdays!) and I saw two guys sitting by themselves at a table. I did a double take and told HG, "That's Andrew Kevin Walker and Brian Helgeland." Nobodies to any normal person, but practically gods to us. Andrew Kevin Walker wrote Se7en. Brian Helgeland wrote the screenplay for L.A. Confidential. We walked up to the table and introduced ourselves...I think they were shocked anyone recognized them, and were happy for us to sit down and chat with them for a while. I had already read Andrew Kevin Walker's upcoming film, 8mm (featuring Stormare), so that was an in to make conversation. That was kind of a magical time for movies. I miss it.
  7. One of the most underrated lines. Crying laughing just thinking about it.
  8. I've said this before (maybe on this thread, I don't know), but via @henrygandorf I got a copy of The Big Lebowski script before the movie was released. I vividly remember it for a couple of reasons. The first couple pages were introducing the actors playing the major roles, which was unusual. It was definitely a pre-production version of the screenplay. The first page starts with the voiceover (The Stranger) and the description was something like "a deep, gravelly voice. Sam Elliot, perhaps". How fucking cool. Anyways, almost every word from the film was on the page. Every "um", "yeah", "well", etc. Every beat. Nothing was improvised by the actors. I once sat down and watched the movie while reading the script. It had to be 99.5% accurate. The Coen Brothers are notorious for not having many revisions.
  9. I was referencing info in @satyanash ‘s post
  10. Here is every play of the Michigan game if someone can find where Ewers injured his oblique in this game:
  11. Color me incredibly skeptical of this injury update with Quinn. This is his agent trying to boost his draft stock, plain and simple.
  12. Just wanted to say thanks for the Bonhoeffer link. Spot on. I'm sharing with friends/family.
  13. Like Elon can even get hard without one of his robots sticking its finger up his ass.
  14. From the article: Reached for comment, a spokesman for Trump Jr., Arthur Schwartz, emailed Vanity Fair that, given the presidential son’s leading role in staffing up the Trump-Vance administration, “Are you really asking whether a member of the transition team played a role in the transition? You people are a bunch of retards.”
  15. There was no statement. Levy is disingenuously putting words into his mouth.
  16. I appreciate your forgiveness, and it's not all their fault. But if these people don't internally take any personal responsibility, nothing will change.
  17. One month in and the graceless pieces of shit are already asking for grace. Good.
  18. If the Dems have any chance of winning in 2028, it's because Trump and Musk burned everything to the ground and people in general are pissed and demand change. Meaning any Dem can win. If people are "content" with the next 4 years, Jesus Christ would lose to Trump or whoever comes next. So just put the best candidate out there that can enact positive change and try their best to unite Americans.
  19. DIdn't realize until this morning that Pete was a guest at The Chicago Institute of Politics recently. I hate these video titles, but it contains some interesting clips. He's getting shit from some Dems for his comments regarding DEI.
