  1. Texas matches up favorably with OU. Our line can get pressure on Gabriel, especially since I don’t think they’ll run it well. If I wanted to poke one major hole in the analytics favoring OU, it’s how they’re overrating Gabriel. His YPA is great so far, but I’m not a believer because he hasn’t done it with a defense putting him in conflict. I also wasn’t a believer in KU’s extremely high third down efficiency, and we saw how that went last week. Schematically, PK knows how to stop a modified Briles offense and has proven it over and over. He can run some cover 2 with tight corners but softer safeties to prevent them from going over the top. He can bring pressure up the middle or confuse the OL with Hill as a free rusher. Ewers is great in big time games because he doesn’t make a lot of costly turnovers and trusts his playmakers. I think we’ll be able to run the ball well, but if OU sells out to stop it, Quinn will cook. Texas has talent and depth all over the field; while OU has more talent than last season, it’s not comparable to Texas. Give me the Horns 34-24.
  2. Feels like we play to our opponents by not spreading the field more in the red zone on offense
  3. I’ve been hard on Ewers, but his footwork is showing signs of improvement. You can see it when he hits the deep balls – stands in the pocket calmly, moves forward, and then launches a bomb
  4. I spent hundreds of dollars and suffered through two canceled flights to be at the game yesterday. My body is tired; my voice is hoarse; my horns are up. But sure, I’ll own my throwaway score prediction @BurntOrange&White
  5. If you defend Strong as a coach, you’re actually the racist.
  6. No, I don’t. Our run blocking has been cheeks. They have something to prove.
  7. Not anymore they don’t. Hard to believe that Solomon hasn’t been shit canned yet
  8. We miss Charlie Strong greatly. Talk about an ace recruiter
  9. Bama 41 Texas 20 Bama 495 yards
  10. A little surprised to see Trill Carter listed third but maybe I haven’t been paying close enough attention to the practice reports
  11. A solid job for an A&M business graduate is making $15/hour as a used car salesman at Sewell Automotive
  12. The Rangers are deservedly taking losses after their rank arrogance in constructing this team. Figures Arlington would be good at putting up a façade of a decent team. They let Jon Daniels mortgage the future and then fired him. Clown franchise that will suffer for years as a result
  13. What if I told you the Rangers pushed all in to finish 3rd in the AL West and miss the playoffs again?
  14. Not that this is news to anyone, but ESPN’s CFB coverage is ******* awful
  15. I won’t be convinced until I see the gnashing of teeth on Billy Liucci’s TexAgs Premium.
  16. As much as I like Gerry and Bobby, IT has a pretty bad track record on prognostication at this point.
  17. If we play Majors at C, we’ll be a bad run blocking line again

The third round was the charm! I’m cancer free and in remission! No surgery either because my lymph nodes shrank back to normal and showed no signs of residual damage, not even evidence of necrotic tissue. I’m going to Hawaii, the Alabama game, and SE Asia by the end of this year. I know this is Surly, but my cynicism is gone haha. God is good! Time to party!
