  1. To the md’s on this site , how crazy would it need to get to ease the requirements for home O2. Seems like that would help if the shit hits the fan. of the 15-20% who need hospitalization, are the majority of those just on the floor with 2L nasal canula and q6 albuterol. Pretty sure lots can do this at home.
  2. Can the fed create money out of thin air and buy stock with it ? Is that a thing? One single account propped up bitcoin for the entire run up in 2017.
  3. We are going to retest the 2350 S and P December 2018 lows tonight . Jesus.
  4. Still waiting... Im looking at pre 2017 boom levels before I invest some gambling money. So to me that means the same thing I posted 15 months ago... ETH at $10 Litecoin at $3, XRP at $0.005 and Bitcoin at $700. Ill get in around that time...
  5. This seems plausible. An s and p level of 2k is a psychological barrier as well. I got out almost completely last April as some of you know and have been very conservative. I’m jumping back in at 2350 and then again at 2k if it goes that low. I will probably shut my eyes and hold at 2k regardless of if it gets worse than that. I’m going to start putting all of my 401k work contributions at 100% vigax starting in a couple weeks . Currently at 30 percent vigax and 70 % money market. My main account with most of my money has been 100 percent money market since April. Always scary jumping back in.
  6. Dow futures down almost 900 following the speech
  7. "Here may be found...the last words of Utgrad98... ...He who is valiant and pure of spirit... may find the cure for the Corona virus...in the surlyhorns thread titled RIP Now.....Aaaaaaahhhhh"
  8. What are supplements listed earlier in the thread? Too many pages to sift through 1. Broccoli Brussels sprouts and mustard seeds 2. Zinc losenges without citrate/citric acid. 3. Sambucol vitamin c etc. immune boosters. 4. Multi vitamins basically nothing will treat the virus but there are ways to maximize your immune system, health etc to be ready when it hits. Also the zinc and broccoli may help to reduce severity and length of cold sickness but there have been as many negative as positive studies on that. That said . I’m doing all of the above because.... it can’t hurt and sometimes the placebo effect is real...if you believe it helps then there’s a chance it will.
  9. This is actually a good point and worth thinking about. Had we done everything perfectly I think it saves us 7-10 days at most as there is no way the virus would not have found its way to the US somehow. To think otherwise is not rationale thinking. The only thing that matters or was ever going to matter is what measures the US will employ to mitigate the spread and when those measures go into effect. There will be a tipping point in terms of our hospitals being able to manage all of these patients. Either we will act in time or we wont. I personally believe we still have time as a country to make these decisions. But that clock is ticking. My random guess is we have about 1 week left to act decisively. After that I think the spread will be too much for our health care system to handle.
  10. So what that means is an overnight session can never trade below 5% of the previous day close ever ? Correct ?
  11. Question. S and P down almost 5% currently in after hours trading. Do circuit breakers apply even when the market is closed ? First one is at 7%
  12. I am agonizing over holding my son out this week. My wife just looks at me saying do whatever you think. Im not so much worried for him but for her. She has had a lung surgery, is a former smoker and has COPD/asthma. I dont want to be "that" parent though. Every person I am going to talk to will say Im being ridiculous and to send my damn kid to school. His spring break is the next week. We are in Flower Mound. I am feeling like Lt Kaffee and whether or not he should put Jessup on the stand.
  13. We need an executive order where each time you knowingly post false or misleading information about the corona virus, they cut off a finger. Maybe if they have to post with their nose there will be some deterrence.
  14. Now this does make me feel better. Some good points Ill share from the WHO report: ***Let me state again, this is a report from the World Health Organization and lends far more credibility than the lady in SK scared to death she is living in End Times, or the doctor on TV saying this is the scariest disease he has ever seen in his life*** If you have direct personal contact with an infected person, the probability of infection is between 1% and 5%. Since the end of January, the number of new coronavirus diagnoses in China has been steadily declining (shown here as a graph) with now only 329 new diagnoses within the last day - one month ago it was around 3,000 a day. "This decline in COVID-19 cases across China is real," Your likelihood to die: Some people who are in an age group read the fatality rate and think this is their personal likelihood that they will if they get infected. No, because all the other risk factors also apply. Men in this that age group will more likely die than women, people with preexisting conditions more than healthy people, and people in overcrowded hospitals more than those in hospitals where they get the care they need. "COVID-19 is spreading with astonishing speed; COVID-19 outbreaks in any setting have very serious consequences; and there is now strong evidence that non-pharmaceutical interventions can reduce and even interrupt transmission. Age: The younger you are, the less likely you are to be infected and the less likely you are to fall seriously ill if you do get infected: The most common symptoms are fever (88%) and dry cough (68%). Exhaustion (38%), expectoration of mucus when coughing (33%), shortness of breath (18%), sore throat (14%), headaches (14%), muscle aches (14%), chills (11%) are also common. Less frequent are nausea and vomiting (5%), stuffy nose (5%) and diarrhoea (4%). Running nose is not a symptom of Covid. Transmission by fine aerosols in the air over long distances is not one of the main causes of spread. // This means getting it by breathing the same air as someone who sneezed or coughed is quite low. Age % of population % of infected Fatality 0-9 12.0% 0,9% 0 as of now 10-19 11.6% 1.2% 0.2% 20-29 13.5% 8.1% 0.2% 30-39 15.6% 17.0% 0.2% 40-49 15.6% 19.2% 0.4% 50-59 15.0% 22.4% 1.3% 60-69 10.4% 19.2% 3.6% 70-79 4.7% 8.8% 8.0% 80+ 1.8% 3.2% 14.8%
  15. Sorry covid is already unnerving so unless an article is from the WHO CDC or a study in a respectable medical journal I’m just flat out not going to read or believe it. The scientific data coming out is alarming enough.
  16. Every time I read this thread my lungs burn and I start coughing....the rest of the day I’m fine.
  17. My wife keeps using our stockpile like she’s at the market . I keep telling her this is our emergency use food and water. She isn’t grasping the concept.
  18. Does vitamin c bind with the zinc to make it ineffective like citric acid would ? So sambucol pastilles would work then?
