  1. That Red Hot Chili Peppers rendition is incredible.
  2. OK last 1 really. Super rare version of Simon and Garfunkel, Live at Granada. You need to go to 2:00 in to hear 59th street bridge song. The last version I had bookmarked got taken down. The harmony here is the best they have done live on this song IMO. Youtube didnt allow embedding on this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS4KPTKlqS8
  3. I always love seeing/hearing something unique that I havent seen before. Can be covers, live shows, singing / instrumental, whatever. Just something where you say , "This is the best performance of this I have ever heard." Something like this... Or this....IMO this is the best performance of Beethoven's 9th out there. From a 1977 recording. Ive listened to many, many versions of this symphony. Nothing comes close to this. The 4 soloists are incredible. Anna Tomowa-Sintow/Soprano Agnes Baltsa/Contralto Peter Schreier/Tenor José Van Dam/Bass Or this...
  4. So the s and p officially closed in bear market territory today. It marks the 3rd bear market since 2000 with the other 2 in 2000 and 2007 respectively . For those who have followed the market through those times, What are the differences and similarities to now? My main concern is was the economy running like is it now back then as well? With economists stating not to panic and that unemployment is low , consumer spending is strong etc? I remember reading about Jamie dimon saying this next bear will be caused by bond issues. What did he mean by that? We have never had to navigate through QT before . Did we essentially kick the can down the road with 3 rounds of QE that we are just now starting to absorb?
  5. First trade to lose money for me in my small foray into swing trading. Bought some shares of dia at the end of day last Friday . Sold them thankfully into a small rally this morning. Bought at 224.11. Sold at 222.78. Still up in my accounts this year but doesn’t feel good to lose. A small lesson learned.
  6. It will be short lived I think but ethereum up almost 75% in the last week. Bitcoin cash up over 150% in 7 days. Most other coins up 30% or so . At least we know the fad isn’t over yet. Still gambling and 99 % of these coins are utter shit but there are some not so shitty ones that may end up making it. I wonder if bitcoin cash will actually replace bitcoin like some have said. Ethereum and xrp still have the most long term value imo. Those and one of the bitcoins either bitcoin or bitcoin cash. Prices really started going up right when we were getting close to the 100 billion overall market cap. Now back up over 140 billion. That and maybe the stock markets crashing . Maybe some people took money out of stocks and put it in crypto. God I hope not. Either way it’s fun to watch all of these markets and learn. Still on the sidelines in my crypto account. I haven’t even thought of actually transferring money back in and investing . Maybe some day and only to speculate .
  7. may want to wait until we see whether or not it’s legal for a president to fire the fed chief . This fucking guy.... https://www.cnbc.com/2018/12/22/trump-reportedly-wants-to-fire-fed-chair-powell.html
  8. Seriously how am I , a Juliard trained day trader , supposed to have fun on my vacation when the markets keep preventing me from doing so. Just been on the sidelines all day . Still on the sidelines ... I’m not going to try and pick anything right now. Is this panick selling ?
  9. So when does the smart money invest ? Because I’m being a giant pussy right now and refusing to buy because wtf.
  10. The last demon I encountered dropped a +5 long sword and the Wand of Orcus.
  11. So when a market tests a bottom for a second time in a month what does that mean?
  12. I dabbled with crypto in Nov and Dec 2017 and made a small profit then got out asap. Im curious to see how cryptos will fare when we actually have a recession. Im betting many of those invested now waiting for the next big run up will have to pull their money for 1 reason or another. Couple that with Tether (google how it basically propped up Bitcoin for most of 2017; it's unwinding that prop up now) and the fact that the tech can infinitely copy each other and I think we still have a ways to go before bottom. I still look at my crypto apps at least weekly if just to educate myself on what a back half of a bubble looks like. My coinbase account is open with the money I made and will probably start looking to reinvest when the world is neck deep in the next recession. Probably ETH , hopefully at around 5-10 dollars a coin. Maybe XRP if it dips below 5 cents. Just patiently waiting cash in hand right now in all markets. I got time.
  13. He is being pumped full of vanc levo and zosyn right about now. Depending on cultures most likely one of those for about 8 weeks will get him where he needs to go. Good luck to the guy . 71 million is a nice consolation.
  14. TV movie? This was iconic 80s. The chick having her second lizard kid scarred 8 year old me for life.
  15. Who the fuck goes for it on 4th and 6 from the 7 yard line. Why can’t coaches be this stupid when they play us. Take the fucking points
  16. "Because I could get uromysitisis poisoning and die. That's why. "
  17. HouTex, I don’t agree with who you voted for but you don’t strike me as a troll. You seemed pretty excited to vote for Cruz. I have a lot of republican friends who are Reagan republicans and are really torn this election cycle. Let’s see how Texas votes tomorrow . Curious how quickly this state is changing.
  18. Came here to post this exact same thought. Almost word for word. You can smell the fear the republicans have right now. Math doesn’t lie.
