  1. That extra fat on the point keeps the flat a bit more moist. I'd think separating it hurts you there. But what kills these people is not getting the fires lit and getting the meat on so they have time to get it cooked and rest it. It's TV. So it's mostly fake. But still
  2. Just bought this framed, signed pic at a local Texas Exes' auction. Wish it had Willie's signature too, but still psyched about it.
  3. It's funnier if Trump and Vance lose their home states.
  4. If bad mood was a person. To me, the funniest and most relatable part was when the girl who won tried to put pork ribs on the Pit Barrel Cooker (the first time in the entire show I remember seeing anyone use that damned thing), and her ribs fell off the hook and into the fire. We retired ours to the lake years ago, and a few weeks ago, I stupidly hung a couple of baby backs in it, only to have them both drop into the fire. I'm done with it. It's being gifted to my brother in law with a rib caveat.
  5. I've got a five year old Lenovo convertible (tablet/laptop) Chromebook that's been humming along as my travel machine for 5 + years.
  6. A good journalist would ask him to comment. I assume he had the chance to deny it? I'm just asking questions.
  7. Have either of them denied this yet? Also, J.D.'s version of casting couch.
  8. It doesn't help that none of them go straight to getting the fire going, then rub those briskets quick and get them on the pit. It seemed like it was two hours in before any of them got to that point.
  9. Yeah, but he's the most likeable person on it. Netflix forced it on me, and I gave in.
  10. "No retreat. I don't like paying for the same real estate twice."
  11. I put my ear right up to the speaker. I listened to it closely and objectively. He said "colored."
  12. Thanks. I just contacted them and asked to change to an initial boiled linseed oil application. That will be easier for me to maintain over time. Saves me $150 too.
  13. I have a dumb, followup question. I opted for a clear coat over a boiled, linseed oil finish. Do people with smokers with a painted finish do an oil treatment (Pam or otherwise) over the paint? I've seen a video or two where people season the inside and outside of painted smokers, but some BBQ videos don't feature presenters who instill me with confidence as to their decision making. I'm assured this clear coat is expensive stuff, but it's not going to last forever. I can buy a rattle can of engine block clear coat to touch up spots, but would a coat of oil on top of it slow down the frequency of the need to do this kind of maintenance. Or should I change my order to the linseed oil finish and just hit it with oil after each cook?
  14. This was my basis for my he's not stepping aside logic last week. In my mind, there is no way the Democrats don't overthink this and screw it up six days a week and twice on Sunday. But I'll be damned if they didn't just do this without missing a beat with Kamala locking up the necessary delegates in less than forty-eight hours. Let's ride!
  15. I've blocked the details of it all out. It was all ridiculously stupid in the grand scheme of things.

    Biden's legacy

Yes. They went to Delaware where he was self-isolating and kept their distance since he still was testing positive for COVID (per the article I read). I'll see if I can find a link. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/joe-biden/bidens-historic-decision-drop-2024-race-rcna162930
  18. How much do you want to donate. The campaign can accept a max of $50 cash anonymous contributions. Go get as many $50s as you like and a roll of stamps. That's a logistical suggestion. I'm obviously not encouraging you to do anything illegal.

    Biden's legacy

I read yesterday that, on top of all the public calls for him to step aside, two of his top aides came to Delaware on Saturday afternoon and they went over the polls with him. The polls consistently showed no path to victory, and that was the tipping point for his decision.
