It definitely was way better than average from my memory of it. May have had crinkle cut fries?

Hamburgers by Gourmet, Westheimer, just inside the loop in Houston. Best burger ever (up there with Mad Dog & Beans for me). I read on TOS that there was another location or two, but that one is burned into my taste bud memory.

So I've got a 2000 (year) Teese RMC3. Sent it back for some work about 5 years ago and got the upgrades. It sounds good and I've found a setting that keeps me fairly happy, but I hate having something that's overly tweakable. I can set it, but I can't forget it.
I have an old 90s Vox V847 that hasn't worked well in a while. I was thinking about grabbing a drop in kit from Castledine. Anybody tried one of those? Used RMC10 also is an option.
What's your favorite wah?

I’ve read this whole thread, and scanned it again. I still can’t figure out whether I can cut the cord. Here is our situation.
1. Based in Leander. Don’t know OTA quality there. Spectrum and ATT Fiber are the providers I think.
2. We have Amazon Prime, Netflix on demand and Netflix DVD’s. We will keep all of this.
3. We have one main tv for most viewing. We have two others, where one can just do Netflix and Prime. The other one needs functionality similar to the main tv, but not at the same time as the main TV. It will be on the patio.
4. We are mostly a sport-driven home. LHN, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FS1, Fox Sports Southwest, are important. We watch college football a lot. We watch every Spurs game every year. Must have.
We like occasionally catching PGA, Astros, Rangers, Mavericks, Stars. Also like certain channels with sports: NBATV, TNT, FS2, TBS, Golf, SEC, BTN, PAC. But, if we had to give those up we could.
5. Outside of sports, no channels are that important. Local channels are important primarily because sports. HGTV, A&E, CNN, Food, TLC, DSC, AMC, NGC, TRAV, APL, AXS we watch a little bit. We could give them all up.
6. We need HBO for Game of Thrones and other things we like. We do like having movie channels on our current U-verse. But we realize we can do Redbox, pay per view, Netflix, etc to replace those.
7. Good quality and fairly low hassle factor are important. This is where I worry cutting the cord won’t work.
What is the best equipment and service configuration for our needs? Can we do this? From Leander, you should be able to get all the locals. The antennas are about 170 magnetic (south) from Leander.

Likely, you can just pop a cheap antenna onto the TV and pull them all. We use Tablo as a DVR for locals and to stream the locals to all of the other TVs in the house. It has worked well. We also can watch locals remotely with the Tablo app or with Plex.
Since you list LHN, your choices are narrowed to PS Vue or DTVnow. We have had Vue for a couple of years and have been happy with it.
-
Vue will support up to five streams simultaneously. There seem to be weird rules to get there, but it seems like it will give you 3 to start with and two more when you set up one device as the home device. We have a PS4 and 3 Fire TVs and can stream four at once. We have a Tablo box to stream our locals from the OTA antenna, which was preferable to running cable.

Just lost a GE profile due to compressor failure after only 10 years. Cost to have a repairman replace the compressor was approaching the price of a new fridge.

Must disagree. He is meh. About as loud on TV as the northern Arizona coach.
Mike Leach would like to have a word with you.I like Leach more, but he isn't a Big XII coach. Still can't think of a coach in the conference I like more. Holgo is entertaining, but.

Easily my favorite coach outside of the UT program, and I hope we beat them stupid.

Blocking off seats won't work if it's first come first served, though right? After the max students come (especially for big games), there will be no seats left so students won't be allowed to enter. Even if they were able to for the lower-attendance games, it would have to be pretty minimal because each student entering the stadium would naturally fill in where seats aren't being reserved, but once there are no open seats available, the students being allowed in the stadium would make the fresh pledges give it up. So, it helps maximize the students who are most excited about the game and more likely to stay for its entirety will be given seats, while the lame ones will miss out as long as there are enough of the former to fill the stadium.
My assumption was there were as many general admission seats as there were prepurchased package student tickets. When they buy the package, their ID allows them access to the student section of the stadium. They even can pay extra to get in a fast line. In any event, the idea currently is that whoever gets to a seat first, gets the seat. Problem is, what if you have to take a piss or maybe you want to go buy taco or a drink or something. What's to keep someone from snagging your seat. Or, as mentioned earlier, how many die hards are going to suffer heat stroke because they have to sit in the good seats from the minute the stadium opens until Gabriel blows his horn.
I'm suggesting that it still be first in line gets the best seats. Just hand out seat assignments when you scan the ID at the gate. Once they're in, they can't leave and come back in. So it rewards early arrivals without requiring that they have to guard the seats the entire time they're there.

At what point does adding back all the channels with Apps, subs etc.. get you right back to where we are now with more channels than needed. Add the cost of Prime $10-$12 per month, Netflix $10-$12 per month, HBO Go $10-$20, Hulu, Roku, etc.... I can see the legacy carriers dropping sub prices to match the exodus and in the end it will be a wash. I need to put a spreadsheet to it. Not to mention my kids and wife hate changing inputs (doesn't bother me, but they call me at work to ask how to work the remotes). Internet fees seem to rise too when not bundled with a cable deal, so not sure it will be a better way to go in the end.
Problem for me was I was subscribing to Netflix, Prime, and Hulu already. I had to kick my internet speed up a bit, but I needed to do that anyway just to remove the data caps.

You are right. Let’s put The olds there instead
Students are such pussies these days.
I assume the fraternities will send pledges in to hold blocks of seats and continue to show up toward the end of the first quarter.
I further assume there will be some fights over seats.
It would be better if there were a handful of general admission entrances for students, at which the tickets with seat numbers were handed to them as they scanned their IDs. Then, they have a seat, they can't leave the stadium, but they don't have to sit in the DKR easy bake oven section the entire time holding their seat.

Not sure how I missed this, but :
"New for 2018: The Big Ticket seating at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium is general admission. Students are encouraged to arrive early as seating is filled on a first come, first served basis. All student seating is now in sections 29-39 in the southeast corner of the stadium.
The Big Ticket is loaded onto your UT student ID. Just scan at the gates and you’re in to find an open seat. All student seating is general admission and available on a first come, first served basis. For some high demand games, Big Ticket access will be limited, so students are encouraged to always arrive early."

Texas hasn't played on a regional Fox affiliate in a decade.
Out of curiosity, I looked it up The last time a UT football game was shown on FSSW was following the long rain delay against TCU. The game originally was broadcast on FS1. After the delay, the remainder game was simulcast on FS2 and FSSW.
Prior to that, the only reference I can find to a UT football game's being broadcast on FSSW was the game against Louisiana-Lafayette on September 9, 2000. There are some games in the early 2000s that don't show any network.

I'll put in a vote for PS Vue. Have had DTV and Dish and Vue has worked well for us. I don't have lag issues, and the DVR/On Demand stuff works well.

Joy Luck in Carillon Center on Westheimer West of Gessner. Chinese food was average at best, but they sure did love serving us 16 year old kids cocktails. I remember 20+ of us going there once with that many fake IDs (all of which were one of 3 of which we had made color copies and had a buddy at Blockbuster laminate for us). Waiter comes out and says, "Who wants Zombie!" 20 hands shoot up.
