  1. My last trip to Paris was 4 nights in Paris followed by 3 nights in Blois this past April. In Paris, because it was over the Marathon Weekend, my favorite hotel was booked, so I rented an AirBnB. It was absolutely fantastic. The only downside was it was on the 2nd floor (3rd floor in United States parlance) with no Elevator, and I had a number of large bags as I was traveling for work right before. In Blois, I stayed at Fleur de Loire, a 5 start hotel and spa with a 2 Michelin Star restaurant by Christophe Hay. I visited Chateau Chambord and the one in Blois (after Chambord, the other fell flat), and basically just relaxed most of the time. I want to revisit the Loire Valley when I have longer. But if you are looking, I highly recommend Fleur de Loire. It was great.
  2. I think 5 days in Paris, if you have been there before, is fine. But if it is your first time, I think that is not enough time. I would stay in Paris the whole time and take 2 or 3 day trips. Then you have more time in Paris, but get to see other things as well. Also, you lose time traveling. With that being said, and something I did not know on my last trip, you HAVE to go to Notre Dame. And it now requires a reservation unless you want to wait in a massive queue (I chose not to knowing I would be back in Paris soon). If you are doing Notre Dame, you should hit up Sainte Chapelle as well. There is a great restaurant right near Notre Dame (Les Deux Colombes) where I have whiled away a few hours with a bottle of wine. For hotels, my go to is Le Roch Hotel & Spa in the 1st, though I want to stay in Hotel Marquis Faubourg Saint-Honore (in the 8th but just...right where Rue Saint-Honore flips from the 1st to the 8th) and Voltire (also on Rue St. Roch near the first hotel). I have a lot of other recs, but I need to sit down with them.
  3. New York's is today, but I didn't go. Had work calls closing a deal. 😢
  4. She has been bad for a while. She needs to be primaried.
  5. I was a Starwood girl, so after the merger with Marriott, am now a Marriott girl. The top tier Amex Bonvoy is a really good card.
  6. Well, he isn't gone. He is just negging everyone. What a little cunt he is.
  7. JD Vance is a racist piece of shit. That is all.
  8. Do us all a favor and fuck off.
  9. What a fucking shitshow.
  10. Which SWAT team? NYPD? Given that they all live in Staten Island and largely vote Republican, good fucking luck.
  11. There is a protest every Tuesday from 12-1 in front of Fox News.
  12. Schumer was protesting in Brooklyn. With a helicopter, you can do both.

  14. Hated that they didn't get to race the last lap. Love that Kimi got on the podium.
  15. That is my Governor. Hochul, Pritzker, and Walz did a great job. Hochul isn't perfect, but she is so much better than Cuomo. And she absolutely has been standing up to Trump since Day 1. He keeps wanting to fuck with New York, and at least our state officials are telling him where to stick it. It is too bad that Eric Adams is a selfish coward. So glad he has a snowballs chance in hell of being re-elected. Now if we can just kick Cuomo to the curb as well.
  16. Hegseth is by far the worst of a shitty cast of incompetance that is the Trump cabinet. He never should have been confirmed, and if we go to war, which this bullshit between Israel and Iran might mean we do end up doing so, will mean that American blood will be on the hands of every Senator who voted to confirm (all but three Republicans plus JD Vance). But I will say Noem, Lutnick, Biondi, RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and Kash Patel are also absolutely horrific choices as well. Gross.
  17. I believe a lot of the Democrats in Congress were out protesting with folks. I know in NYC, Schumer was at the Brooklyn protest (which I understand was absolutely massive as well...the one I was at was only ONE march in Manhattan. There were multiple events in the city).
  18. Protests everyday in New York downtown (near Federal Courthouse). Also, one every Tuesday from 12-1 at News Corp (Fox News).
  19. And Mark Ruffalo. I didn't see Ilana Glazer or Abi Jacobson, but i saw photos of them with Ruffalo.

  21. Even once the front of the March reached 26th, the marchers stretched all the way back up 5th to 50th. And as @The Ace of Aces said earlier, crowds stretched along 42nd and 41st all the way to 7th Avenue.
  22. I was at the front, and once we reached Madison Square Park, things dispersed. Lots of NYPD in full riot gear. Fuck them. It was peaceful. At the front, a Trump stan was trying to agitate people, and everyone just ignored him. What a fucking tool. And i still hear the roar of the crowd. At least 100k. It extended a long way back.
  23. Susan Sarandon and Mark Ruffalo are on the front line.
