  1. They abandoned Houston because Houston votes Dem. It's fucking easy.
  2. And you are still an idiot who acts like they are above the frey by pontificating with faux intellectualism and both sides bullshit. You are a white male, and you give zero fucks about the Americans that Trump and his ilk are bound and determined to make second class citizens because it does not impact you. I feel sorry for any of the women in your life.
  3. Friday night, Foo Fighters in Brooklyn and Saturday night, Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle in Harlem (at the Apollo!). Nice.
  4. Italy has become my Spring trip for 2025. The only things I know is that I am going to do Emilia Romagna and Venice, and that we are going to Imola on May 16-18. That is all I have.
  5. First bold, obviously. If you are really pro-choice, then you should repudiate the entire fucking Republican party, because they are bound and determined to make women no better than property. Fuck that. Second bold, Dude, it is the fucking internet. If your fees fees get hurt from a neg on a goddamned message board, maybe you need to step the fuck away.
  6. I have also decided to blow up all my plans for this year. The only travel I will be doing is for work (probably two more trips across the pond), and I am going to stay in the UK for one of them (maybe go back to Oxford, hit up Cambridge or go futher in to the British Countryside to get some R&R, but the other, I might just do a weekend in Germany (one of my German colleagues has been after me to come to Hamburg...I do not think that is a bad idea, but I have to do the business case right). So, now, doing two larger trips in 2025 and 2026. For 2025, Spring will be Venice/Imola (for the race)/Emilia Romagna. Fall (Late October/Early November) will be Marrakech. I still might have some time to play with, and if things go according to plan at work, will be traveling some to South America. If so, might add on Buenos Aires, which is a place I have always wanted to go. For 2026, am thinking a combo of Japan and Paris, each for 2 weeks. Yes, I know I have been to Paris a lot, but now that I can just wander, it is an even better city.
  7. Tuesday, we flew home. I had flown First Class on BA for this trip as they gave me the option to upgrade from business for about 600 each way. I was in seat 1A. Fun fact, Kate Hudson was in seat 1K. The last time I had flown first on BA from London to NYC was back in April. I was in seat 2K. Lewis Hamilton was in seat 1K. So, some interesting people in the first class cabin from London to NYC.
  8. Monday, rain persisted. We tooled around Oxford. We jumped on a hop on/hop off bus. Then we went to Blackwells to see the books. We popped into the King's Arms, visited Christchurch (a lot of the colleges were closed thanks to summary programs), and ended up doing a Thames cruise. The cruise started and ended the The Folly, so what was where we had dinner.
  9. And Sunday was race day. It was a sloppy, soggy mess, but it was fun. It was nice to see Hamilton get the W. 20240707_130941.mp4 20240707_150642.mp4 20240707_161533.mp4 20240707_162115.mp4
  10. Yes, really. Going in between 7:30 to 8:30 in the morning and leaving at 5. Some days, it took more than 10 minutes just to exit the fucking garage.
  11. Tell me you do not know anything about fashion without actually saying it. Well of course he did. He cannot take being told that he is wrong, especially by a woman. Just stop. Just stop. The classified document situation alone is enough for him to be strung up as a traitor.
  12. I lived on the edge of the Heights and Shady Acres (15 1/2 and Dian), and it would take be 30-45 minutes to get to my office in Allen Center. In the loop traffic sucks balls.
  13. The reality if that if Trump wins, the ability for people of color, women, and LGBTQ+ people to be able to exercise their rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness will be almost certain taken away. But hey, you are both white males, so who the fuck cares.
  14. As someone whose individual liberties and right to bodily autonomy across the US have been smashed to pieces by the piece of shit that is Trump, from me to you, shut the fuck up.
  15. That is true. My first time round, I did not make enough, and so I was not as complimentary, and Houston was good to me for the next 12 years. Night and day coming back here making enough money to have a very good life. To the point of I would never consider moving back to Houston/Dallas. Austin is probably the only place I would consider, and that is behind a whole host of international cities.
  16. Having lived in both Houston and NYC, I can tell you that Houston doesn’t hold a candle to NYC. Houston has its good points, but the availability of amazing things to do in NYC is absolutely unparalleled. The weather, overall, is better up here as we actually have four seasons, with both Spring and Fall being my favorites. The walkability is also absolutely fantastic.
  17. Dinner was at Arbequina, a highly recommend tapas place in Oxford. We then walked a bit.
  18. Saturday, we ended up picking up cakes (Cedric Grolet) and champers (Ruinart from Harrods), and took the train to Oxford.
