  1. No he wasn’t. But if he attacked as soon as Wout dropped out he MIGHT have been able to put more time onJV. He went from +7 seconds to +13 to + 20 so JV didn’t have the legs today. But, who knows?
  2. That’s what I thought at the time, but maybe he should have gone earlier.
  3. Two fun days Stage 5 Stage 6
  4. That whole Basque region looks pretty fuckin dope.

  7. Remains to be seen how much he was affected. I think he is a bit better overall than VG. I think he made a tactical mistake in stage 11 last year which may have cost him the race. He kept trying to counter all the Jumbo Visma attacks instead of focusing on PG. That plus losing 4 teammates by the end of the tour. Jumbo Visma wore him out. Not sure how the teams compare this year.
  8. Man, I watched a couple of epic battles between him and Matthew Stafford in the HS playoffs. Never seen a HS QB with a stronger arm.
  9. Between Vingegaard and Pogacar again? Can Powless win a stage? Pretty hilly first stage.
  10. Missed it but a friend said it was great.

  12. Nice try, I guess…
  13. If we had taken the advice given by David Byrne way back in 1980 this would not have happened.
  14. If I wanted to get away with murder I would run over my victim while they were walking or cycling. As long as you’re not drunk they will buy any excuse: “Sun was in my eyes” “Dog ran out in front of me” “Thought a snake was in my AC vent” “My right leg went to sleep” etc…
  15. I hear he dropped an Olivetti Lettera 32 on his toe.
  16. I believe he signed a disaster declaration on the 17th.
  17. A trip to a Creationism Museum will explain it all.
  18. In my experience the safety inspections have become increasingly perfunctory. Last few times I didn’t even get out of my vehicle. No real brake test, no horn or wiper check, no tire tread depth check etc.
  19. I thought Counties with big populations only have to do emission inspections.
  20. “Yesterday, Governor Abbott held a briefing and press conference in Perryton to provide an update on the state's ongoing response following severe storms and tornadoes in the region. The Governor also updated his disaster declaration to include additional counties in Northeast Texas impacted by the severe weather to continue to provide the full support of the State of Texas during recovery and rebuilding efforts.” https://gov.texas.gov/news/post/governor-abbott-provides-update-on-states-ongoing-response-to-severe-storms-in-northeast-texas
  21. SWEPCO services most of that area and the outages are due to downed power lines.
  22. No, but looks like his auction items for larger pieces go in the 1800 to 2800 range. Bluebonnets seem to always add to the price.
  23. Stayed at The Statler for Old 97s county fair a couple of times. As a Mid Mod fan we really enjoyed it. For a little less expensive options in that area we like The Indigo on the other side of The Garden Park and The Magnolia at Pegasus Plaza.
