  1. The Kinks. I liked every song I heard of theirs but for some reason never really got into them. Did a deep dive into their catalog a couple of years ago. Holy shit! They did some brilliant stuff.
  2. Yeah. Was gonna walk the dogs around 10. Walked out the front door and decided “fuck that”.
  3. I thought it was gonna be in the 50s until around noon for some reason. Already 40 with a 30 windchill up here in the exurbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. All I needed last time was a bag of Sakrete the trunk.
  5. I NowThissed myself last night. After the Wife went to bed.
  6. Same as last year: Do nothing that would result in my becoming a meme that goes viral.
  7. Farm Aid founding member and still on the board of directors. Raising funds and fighting for American Farmers for over 30 years. Goddam irrelevant nobody from Canada.
  8. WRC has their first race with the new hybrid cars under their belt https://www.wrc.com/en/results-standings/rally-results/
  9. If you are going for the “intellectual” right wingers it will be tough to compete with Doug. He has a Master’s Degree in Adult Learning from…somewhere.
  10. Where did this guy come from? I can’t keep up. “With his powerful voice, high-level guests and his ability to see through fake news, Doug Billings has brought The Right Side to relevance. He continually points out the intellectual immaturity of liberals with facts, truth, God and humor. General Micahel Flynn, Lin Wood and Glenn Beck have all said that Doug may well be the next Rush Limbaugh.” https://dougbillings.us/video/doug-heads-to-the-southern-border-to-fight-child-sex-trafficking-illegal-immigration-and-election-fraud-plus-his-interview-with-christie-hutcherson-of-we-stand-america/
  11. This ceremony is giving me awesome sports flashbacks
  12. “Crime is notoriously hard to measure in a reliable way. The statistics are even harder to interpret. Nobody fully understands why crime rates go up or down. But police officials can convincingly point to strong early returns on Chief Eddie Garcia’s crime plan, which was implemented this year and targets high-crime zones. Dallas is bucking a national trend. Murders are up in many large U.S. cities in 2021. Not in Dallas.” https://www.dmagazine.com/frontburner/2021/12/violent-crime-is-down-in-dallas-in-2021/
  13. Yup. Most of his wireless interviews were classic. As a tier 1 host he is just plain lazy. You would think if it’s on the run sheet he would at least do some research. It’s maddening.
  14. They cut her off. She obviously was going to say she would bring every gun loaded and ready…for show and tell on Monday.

    RIP Meat Loaf

Not a big ML fan either but it is a pretty cool album. They were lucky to find TR. Nobody else would do it. I think he ended up funding most of it. Somebody else might have eventually done it, but he may have been the only one who could put the material together in a manner that would yield such a huge hit.

I thought Jim Steinman was the composer and TR was the producer.
  17. He was so fucking good in “Baskets”

    Hot patootie, bless his soul
  19. Figured a rested Suns team would spank the Mavs tonight. Pretty impressed they have played so tough.
  20. Used to watch them at Club Dada shortly after Edie joined them. They were more of a percussion heavy jam band than a pop band. Kenny Withrow is a very good guitarist and a Jerry Garcia fan. This was when Dada was doing Grateful Dead jam sessions every Sat. afternoon. His solo on that song is very tasty. Not a lot of pop songs had cool guitar solos at the time. Boom! They got popular, had to fire Brandon Aly and go on tour. Never the same after that. I saw their final Dallas show at Bronco Bowl. They were very good. Blue Rodeo opened and were so good that I’m still a fan.
