  1. HEB has chuck roast on sale, so I picked up a 2.5 lb’er and cubed it up this morning as I’ve been adding around cubed meat into my ground at a 2:1 ratio in my last few batches. Went to put the cubed chuck in the fridge and saw an open bottle of spicy Zing Zang Bloody Mary mix and said what the bell. Chuck has been marinating in that since about 8 this morning, about to start cooking at 3.
  2. In the last decade, particularly the last five years, I have seen a massive increase in non-alcoholic cirrhosis. Dialysis clinics also seem to be popping up everywhere as well. I would urge caution with regard to consistent use of NSAID’s and Tylenol. My mother is 65 and I would estimate she takes 2-4 ibuprofen or aspirin a day. Every day. For probably close to two decade if not longer. That’s not ok. Not to mention that the inflammatory process is how your body repairs itself; so you’re inhibiting that when you take NSAID’s.
  3. Pedophilia places one squarely in the asshole category
  4. Currently HC or were assholes as HC? If the latter is the criteria we’re using: Bryan Harsin Urban Meyer Turtle Tommy DJ Durkin Bryan Kelly Chip Kelly
  5. They just had a hell of a benefit show for him a couple weeks ago at Billy Bob’s. The lineup was insane, but like every other fucking time something cool came up in the last decade, I was at work.
  6. My daily regimen: Fish oil Milk thistle extract D3 Magnesium Zinc Juice of 2-4 lemons I’m not a fan of glucosamine supplements. The bulk of the studies are inconclusive as to their effectiveness, and several of which have suggested that the placebo effect is responsible for the positive feedback in previous studies. Creatine and glutamine are proven to have positive benefits, but the majority of society are not reaching the level of physical exertion that would necessitate supplementation with those two. If you eat a balanced diet you are most likely not in need of either.
  7. Yay! The lawyers saved another poor soul from the horrible corrupt justice system!
  8. I mean, you don’t have to read between the lines to see I admitted I was wrong. That said, would it make you feel better if I said the words “I was wrong”?
  9. I would have bet my paycheck (no Rocko) that it was type 2. Literally all of the symptoms are that of type 2. I must have overlooked the fact that her father had diabetes as that would increase the odds of developing type 1 later in life, but I’m still not convinced that it isn’t type 2 given the aforementioned physician fuckery. I applaud JJ for seeking out an endocrinologist to truly get a handle on this. I also highly doubt that DildoProng is learned enough on diabetes to have asked a legitimate question on purpose. I regret nothing with regard to my response to that person.
  10. After going 0-10 last year and 3-8 the year before, the might Pilot Point Bearcats won their first round game against Mexia last night.
  11. This place got a hell of a lot more readable when I put bananainthetailpipe and BO&W on ignore. And you chucklefucks that keep quoting them are ruining that. Fuckin quit that shit
  12. Haven’t been over there since they ran off Breadwinner’s and McKinley’s.
  13. The only thing I can dispute in the above post is that the lemon pepper chips are delicious because they are most certainly not. There is sugar in the seasoning and it has a lemon poundcake aftertaste. Lemon pepper isn’t supposed to be sweet.
  14. I love chips, the weirder the better but these are absolute trash. Both of them. Do not buy.
  15. Is there a decent amount of nightlife in that neighborhood? Showed this to my wife this morning and now she’s interested in there or the Chelsea neighborhood. Anything over there worth looking at?
  16. Hotel Gregorian. One block north of ESB. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Walked to the Met from there two days after my wife ran the marathon.
  17. Yep. In 2002 Midland High finished 3rd in district 3-5A and was 22 seconds away from beating Judson in the state championship. The Abilene High team that whooped them got throttled by James Morton and Lubbock Monterey in the area round. Abilene Cooper won the district and then got bushwhacked by Chase Wasson and some 7’ tall wide receiver in the 3rd round.
  18. Bad teams have always made the playoffs. Every year when I played and then my brother after me we always had to hear about the 10-0 district champion El Paso team (Montwood or Del Valle) that this was their year! And every time we had our starters out before halftime and JV kids starting by the end of 3Q. Rinse and repeat with most panhandle and Valley schools, with the exception for those areas being the smaller classifications.
  19. Vote of confidence be damned, ol’ Billy may get Kiffin’d at ABI
  20. I really wish yall would quit buying into the bullshit that was peddled back in the 90’s and mid 00’s. I also really wish people that aren’t qualified to give out nutritional advice would stop trying to do so. But I repeat myself
