  1. There is a very big difference in being a bag man and in being a man who decides to lay hands on a woman. He physically hurt a woman. He could have left the house but chose to stick around and put him into a situation in which things were able to get physically violent with a woman. That’s pretty fucked up.
  2. If Donewald is willing to join Beard at Ole Miss after last year then we dodged a bullet by having him leave.
  3. It is not a thread for people who love the show. But when someone is coming into the thread shitting on every episode each week in season 3 with the same mantra of how awesome the show was in S1 but how it’s now terrible that gets old very quick. That’s what we don’t want. If you have an original thought about the show then let’s hear it.
  4. The issues with criticism of shows in threads like these are that the critics seem to be miserable and yet continue to watch the show. If the show is as bad as you claim then stop watching and leave the thread so those of us who still enjoy it can discuss the show. We don’t need to hear each week about how unbelievably bad the show is and how it’s a shell of its former self, just stop watching it if you feel that way. As for Ted Lasso, almost everyone would agree that Season 1 was the best season of the show and it’s a pretty wide gap. Season 2 and 3 were still pretty damn good tv. A lot of people who criticize this show do so because they claim that Season 1 was some perfect show that helped them through a tough time in their life, basically the show acted as a therapist. That sets up unrealistic expectations for future seasons that could never possibly be met. That means that all future seasons are a major letdown because despite being quality tv they didn’t fulfill some void in the viewers life.
  5. So Mack is literally signing bread now.
  6. Sorry about the rain delay.
  7. Didn’t Disu shoot 37% from 3 at Vanderbilt?
  8. What job is he being hired for? Is he an actual assistant or in a support role?
  9. They were 10th nationally in ERA, that’s pretty damn good.
  10. Except South Austin’s mom
  11. No, because it’s pretty obvious that you are getting worked up over the current ongoing argument and I doubt that that is good for your health. It is also bad for the thread. The vast majority of fans will not back down from the mindset that we are a S16 team next year considering we just played in the EE, return 4 of our top 7 players and added Abmas plus the other guys.
  12. I’m going to try to say this as nice as possible. I think it would be in your best interest to back off of this thread for tonight and maybe reevaluate tomorrow.
  13. We also aren’t starting completely over from a coaching standpoint. Beard didn’t coach any truly meaningful games last season outside of maybe the Gonzaga game. RT was the coach last season, despite not being the architect of the team. That helps pretty significantly with the learning curve. I will also argue that the circumstances in which RT became the head coach and the interim tag hanging over his head all year were hindrances to the team reaching its full potential.
  14. We aren’t as old and experienced as last season but it’s not near the drop off that you would think it is.
  15. Normally I would agree but not anymore. Almost all teams are replacing a huge part of their roster every single year now. We aren’t alone in that and so it shouldn’t be to our detriment near as much as it would have 5 years ago. We also still return our PG, which is a big part of mitigating the roster turnover.
  16. If you’re going to post a pic of a woman to make amends at least make sure she is actually attractive.
  17. Daly likely would have been a backup next year had he stuck around. He’s not a good defensive SS and has not been able to hit the past two years. He wanted a guaranteed starting spot, can’t blame him, for his final year of college baseball. He’s an absolutely terrific teammate and person that I wish the best of luck to next year and in life.
  18. Looks like it. A good landing spot for him.
  19. The above are correct. I would still request statements from the company showing the policy activity just in case.
  20. Getting picked up by the Dodgers was the best possible landing spot for him.
  21. He didn’t necessarily need to go but in order to stick around he needed to be open to a much lesser role on the team. His starting spot needed to be a true open competition with hopefully some new transfer portal blood in it. Daly likely wasn’t willing to go into his senior year without a guaranteed starting spot and so he left, I don’t blame him.
  22. I highly doubt Texas and Oklahoma go to the SEC without a written guarantee that their game would continue each year just as it always has. A written guarantee, not a gentleman’s agreement that some seem to believe are binding contracts.
  23. Aflac sucks ass. It’s overpriced and they make you jump through hoops to pay out a claim. He’s fucked if he has them. (I work for their competitor.)
  24. People always underestimate Cunningham. No way he is the 9th or 10th guy on this team.
