  1. None of those guys got playing time at a bottom tier conference school this year. Why would they be good enough for the conference champions?
  2. I’ll take one of those please.
  3. We need to win a championship more than we need to beat OU again.
  4. I'd prefer to have Burns in the Grubbs/Volantis role next year but I was going strictly based off of our current roster. My preference is portal SP for the Saturday role. I'd like to move Borba to 1B or DH with a portal addition in the other spot. Rodriguez at 3B and Mendoza at 2B.
  5. I'll save this for September
  6. Potential Lineups as I currently see it. C Chamberlain 1B Stewart 2B Mendoza 3B Borba SS Rodriguez LF Williams CF Gasparino RF Farmer SP: Volantis SP: Burns SP: Flores Even if no one on the list leaves that is not a good team. Volantis and Burns would be really good but would need Flores to take a big step forward or for someone else to. Bullpen would have a lot of good pieces but not the dominant guys like this year. I'm not worried about the midweek starter seeing how they used that role this year. The lineup would have some solid players but no one great. Stewart is a significant downgrade but should be easy to find an upgrade there in the portal or slide Borba over to first. I don't see a great option for SS on the current roster. I think Rodriguez will take a massive leap at the plate next year, especially since he will be healthy. Portal Needs in order of importance: Catcher Power hitting 1B or DH SS SP power hitting OF RP (I am not familiar with nor want to include incoming freshmen until they are on campus.)
  7. First pitch is at 7:06
  8. Do we have a first pitch time yet?
  9. I will repeat myself, I love Jonah Williams!
  10. I love Jonah Williams
  11. Yeah I mean can’t have him throwing his shoulder out. Need him to take some wide receivers heads off this fall when they go over the middle.
  12. He wasn’t even close, why dive at that?
  13. Anyone happen to have a spare ticket they don’t mind giving to a student? My son just got out of work early.
  14. I might enjoy that!
  15. Glad we won but I still need to go bend Bennett over and spank her for that error.
  16. The announcers randomly holding softball equipment is just weird.
  17. He was stumbling not sliding. Catcher did not have time to move out of the way. It is always the runners job to make sure that a collision does not occur. Had the runner slid he would have been safe no matter what because of obstruction. He did not slide and a collision with the catcher occurred, therefore, the runner is out. This isn’t the 70s, we are trying to prevent concussions and career ending injuries.
  18. Had the runner slid into the catcher he would have been safe and not thrown out of the game.
  19. No matter what you can not blow up the catcher. Yes the runner tried to hold up but he still ran over the catcher.
  20. College baseball stadiums often look so funny. There’s no cohesion. Let’s just throw some bleachers in this random position in the outfield so we can add more fans despite there being nothing down the lines past the dugouts.
  21. You don’t understand how rules work do you? No matter what a runner cannot plow through the catcher.
  22. Same pitch we got called out on was ball 4 for them.
  23. Why did softball get rid of the double first base?
  24. You always take the early game. Assuming the host you should easily win your first game. You get to be home and get a full nights rest. The late game starts at 6. Which means if all goes perfect those teams are at their hotel at 10, where a bunch of college kids are amped up on adrenaline yet need to get to bed and sleep. That doesn’t even account for the risk of bad weather.
  25. My son is a student at UT and looking for a job in Austin if anyone knows of anything better than just retail/food service.
