  1. Year One, starring Jack Black whom I love and Michael Cera who is funny in Harold Ramis' last film before his death. Thought it was okay, some funny parts, 5/10.
  2. Good point about having a fanbase that is committed and bought-in to the entire 40 picture journey or whatever it will be, versus having disconnected folks who view the movies independently and prosecute them as stand alone's. Essentially it's MCU/ComicBook Nerd fandom vs. Non-MCU/Commicbook fans, and this movie is going to get 100% of Column A and that will make it a billion dollar movie and whatever from Column B they get is gravy.
  3. Cool read, thanks for posting.
  4. Good for Beto for never giving up!
  5. All this is how I feel too generally, but as others have mentioned, it doesn't matter because Disney will make a billion and #JackedDanish will trend. I think I've really just not found the appeal of Angelina Jolie, like ever, so that dampens the excitement for me too. I get that she was a highly regarded actress when she was a girl interrupted and drinking billy bob's blood vial but even then looks-wise she was a poor pinup's version of Megan Fox licking Machine Gun Kelly's black tongue. The judges who crown the best/beautiful of Hollywood just really liked her and have continued to like her despite being above-average.
  6. Yea all of this. Weird and it looks bad and boring, but trailers have a way of being sneaky so I'll hold out hope. Also funny to see Danesh from Silicon Valley absolutely freaking jacked.
  7. Nothing is more embarrassing and disgusting than people leaving the fake bills as tips. Now, if you want to leave a real $20 along with the fake $20, that would be a better way to open someone's heart and mind by leading with generosity before trying to be a missionary. It would be like going to the Congo jungle to spread the gospel but instead of bringing water and food or shelter or clothes, you bring nothing of value at all and in fact you take from their limited resources and act like being there is a favor.
  8. Clicked here to see where are people talking about the "magnet challenge" on TikTok and FB, anyone know where I can get that conversation with all you people put straight into my veins?
  9. Because CRT is radically crazy and stupid?
  10. Sir, you misunderstand me. I'm an avowed capitalist with a galaxy brain MBA who is pro-management consultant and pro-banker. I am not looking to figure out a way to dislike him; I look at this news as amazing and makes him more likable
  11. McRaven, cashing in on his political heroism for millions of bucks. If it weren't so obvious and expected (and the same thing we would all do). This move is the equivalent of a sports star doing an endorsement deal:
  12. Awkward swearing by nerds will never not be cringe.
  13. Exactly, which means they won’t make a big ignorant stink about not making as much as the men, because the disparity in the revenue and profits are laid bare. It bothers me when other sports feel entitled under the banner of “equality” without doing the business math.
  14. At least the WNBA is self-aware enough to not be asking for equal pay or complaining about resources/investments compared to the men's league. They know they are a subsidized loss-leader, for whatever reason.
  15. Like any of the NYC people who post on here know any Jay-Z. I’d bet a thousand bucks UpperWestside has never been to Carbone, either.
  16. Ja Morant is a rabid dog, man. He kinda fell apart at the end of regulation after playing out of his mind, but he got it back in OT.
  17. I said at the time, that air ball 3 by Wiggins was when they lost the game.
  18. Yea he doesn't seem long for the NBA world with his style of play which makes my heart softer for him as well. He's a fast burning, brilliant comet. Better to burn out than to fade away, I guess.
  19. I think the rape fantasy was disgustingly yours, dude, definitely not mine. Anyways, like most Texas families probably, we did end up having a conversation about it as a family, and long story short, we landed on a place of gratitude that we live in Texas. It has it's flaws and warts like any other place and it is true that it is quickly becoming more divided, but all things considered, we like the stock.
  20. Seattle Art Museum was lame-- don't recommend. Not the holocaust museum, but once did a tour of Dachau and it was haunting.
  21. Is it not cruel to kill a baby with a heart beat though, black-and-white, cut-and-dried? That's the other memo going around that missed the BrisketTexan desk. I guess even the idea of cruelty is relative.
  22. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean you are right and I am wrong, and visa versa. It's relative to our core personal values. So just because I think you are wrong and full of it, like you think I am, I don't think it merits rude behavior.
