  1. I am a country boy, so I've probably had it anyway
  2. Since I just posted some chili dogs/wraps in the Steel Shank thread.. Maybe it's my taste buds post covid, but Wolf brand chili just tastes bland, doesn't tatse the same. Just the simple Hill Country Fare brand tastes much more like what Wolf used to taste like, has more of a kick, and it's about half the cost. I only use it for chili dogs/frito pies/dip, but it does the trick.
  3. Well hell, only about a quarter cup of chili left, two hot dogs and only one bun, improv time I guess (would have added onions and pickled japs but only had about 5 minutes to eat, do what you gotta do)
  4. Hey “Jerry”, thanks again for coming out, sure appreciate it. We had a lot of fun, hope to be back next year. Nice meeting you, hope the wife wasn’t too bored. Polka is hit or miss, you can really get into it or say, what the hell…
  5. You betcha, just got home from Real Ale in Blanco, dragging ass but we’ll saddle up and do it again tomorrow
  6. yep President Biden just approved $1B in Emergency relief funds to Florida on THE DAY the Hurricane hit. Trump stated he would WITHHOLD relief funds for CA wild fires because he doesn't like Gov. Newsom. And THAT is this difference between Democrats and Republicans. Between a REAL President and a whiny little bitch baby!!
  7. Good: lots of inside info on Big Boy Bad: Jay Leno
  8. Sorry for any Surly-ites in FL, but muthafucka pleez
  9. Cunt I’ve always liked Alex Jones. The judge ordering Alex Jones' Infowars to be auctioned off, to pay $1.5 billion defamation damages (a sum he could never pay), proves it was always really about destroying Alex Jones. The shooter was the one who horrifically murdered those innocent children, not Alex Jones. He might have said things that were wrong and then he repeatedly apologized. How many times have you ever heard the mainstream media ever apologize about all the horrible things they have said? And lies they have told? And character assassinations they have made on people? Never. And are they being ordered to pay their victims billions or their media companies being auctioned off? Nope. This is wrong.
  10. Geeks and Nerds for Harris starting now on Lynda Carter’s YouTube channel, could be a train wreck but giving it a watch for now, just fyi
  11. Just a reminder, Big Boy is in Texas now, maintenance in Dallas today, then leaving tomorrow morning heading south to Hearne. Friday will leave Hearne and head to Houston. Southwest Railcams on Youtube has a camera at the depot in Hearne, so you can watch it pull in sometime tomorrow afternoon. I've already seen it in person twice, so not sure if I will take time off to catch it again. But definitely see it in person if you never have. Schedule: https://www.up.com/heritage/steam/schedule/index.htm
  12. She’s doing quite well, pretty impressive. She’s speaking well, campaigning well, she’s doing everything it takes to win. So you know what you guys do when she gets to the White House? You pat her on the back, say congratulations, and tell her not to serve curry. Or collard greens or whatever the hell she serves…. Ok? Got it
  13. Hackemack's Hofbrauhaus. Good friends with Gene Hackemack, he plays accordion in my band sometimes. What a character, met John Wayne in Vietnam, served on the medical staff for the Apollo moon missions and helped train the astronauts, was in Iran when the Shah was run out and the hostages were taken. Probably some other things in his past he's never told me about... He has a video from the 1990s on his facebook page from the Hofbrauhaus with the band playing and all, trying to figure out how to share it or save it so I can post it here, good times. edit; I don't know if this link will work or not... https://www.facebook.com/gene.hackemack/videos/527948418297067
  14. One of my favorite meals back in the 80's when we were dirt poor. Package of hamburger meat (step-father was foreman on a ranch, so we got free beef from his boss), taco seasoning, package of flour tortillas, onion, can of chili, block of rat cheese, under $10. My brothers and I would help our mom making beef, bean, cheese and onion burritos assembly-line style, fry them up in a couple of inches of Crisco and cover in chili and more cheese. Good thing is there would always be left over burritos that went in the freezer for an after-school snack later in the week.
  15. It wasn't a big role, but I always enjoyed his acting in Matewan. RIP sir.
  16. Yep, GOO (how’s that for a message board throwback)
  17. Just left Boone IA headed east to Cedar Rapids today, should be passing through Ames any time now
  18. KKL is a nutjob, but can we pour one out for Norman? He seemed like a good dog and no telling the atrocities she put him through... RIP Normie
