  2. The best, RIP Ron Stone. Watched this every Saturday. Here's a segment from my old stomping grounds..
  3. "That is such a dumb idea. Sometimes it amazes me you ever passed the bar." "I'm not surprised. You've never passed a bar in your life." "You are so much less attractive when I'm sober." "Thank goodness it's not that often."
  4. Damn, how could I forget Trinidad? Good call.
  5. Yes. Apparently ABKCO also added a "tone" to all the audio.. These replies from the Steve Hoffman forum kind of explain it... LINK
  6. Already gone, figures. Beware of ABKCO!
  7. The "joint" has been there for over 2 years, and they already offered food. JM is just adding to their menu. He'll either get tired of it eventually or he'll piss them off and they'll kick him out, but the brewery ain't goin' nowhere.
  8. Fuck, valley girl, that explains it.
  9. She has the weirdest fucking accent I've ever heard, sometimes she sounds Canadian, sometimes she's a Boston townie, sometimes Bal'mer, all over the place. Probably not even from up north.

    Vinyl

Busted out the Spin Wash today and cleaned up a bunch of LPs I picked up on ebay over the summer/fall, nothing earth-shattering but some pretty good deals on some of these... The Cars lps, it was 4 for $20 (Candy-O not included), when I got the package Candy-O was in there as well, so that was nice. A lot of these I lost or sold over the years, so some are replacements. A couple like the Brave Combo and the "All This and World War II" are out of print, so grabbed those. Slowly going through them all now to see how they turned out audio wise. Have a great ebay seller that sells "pick any 3 lps for 15.99" (multi-sets count as 1 lp), found some good stuff, that Rod Stewart is NM, was rated VG at best, happy about that. Got that one, the Stevie Wonder and the Steely Dan all for 15.99, not bad.
  11. Agreed. The tension build-up in both of these gunfights is brilliant.
  12. Gee but it's great to be back home Home is where I want to be. I've been on the road so long my friend, And if you came along I know you couldn't disagree. It's the same old story, yeah Everywhere I go, I get slandered, libeled, I hear words I never heard in the Bible And I'm one step ahead of the shoe shine Two steps away from the county line Just trying to keep my customers satisfied, Satisfied. Deputy Sheriff said to me Tell me what you come here for, boy. You better get your bags and flee. You're in trouble boy, And you're heading into more. It's the same old story, Everywhere I go, I get slandered, libeled, I hear words I never heard in the Bible And I'm one step ahead of the shoe shine Two steps away from the county line Just trying to keep my customers satisfied, Satisfied
  13. It's been open a couple of years, took them a while to get their footing, pretty good beers, it's right across the railroad tracks next to the post office.
  14. I haven't heard anything. That building that was Jerry's Place forever and then a couple of mexican restaurants for about a month each would be a good spot. I saw those pictures of his smokehouse but can't make out enough of the background to tell where it is. ETA: actually, it looks like it IS at Granger City Brewing. Nice!!!
