  1. Will post my meager Oilers memorabilia collection tonight, including this 45 rpm (thought it was great when I was in jr, high, now, not so much...)
  2. I don't follow her on twitter or anything, but it seems like for the most part she has stayed away from the political bullshit the rest of her family trots out day after day. They must really be getting scared and have the all hands on deck mentality now.
  3. This is a really nice remembrance from Paulina LINK
  4. OK, which one of you is this?
  5. Guess he's finally ready to just get on down the road.
  6. Yeah, when I had Dish I used to DVR that show all the time.
  7. That's it, thanks for the clarification. Forgot to mention, if you click on that link above for the GPS tracking, it has a map of the entire trek laid out, and you can zoom in to see exactly every town it will go through. Really helps if you are planning to go check it out.
  8. Just got my Abbey Road 50th Anniv. box delivered. Right into the outtakes, good stuff. I've had this demo for years, but every version out there was only George and his guitar (right channel), never knew there was a piano as well. She's So Heavy, with all the white noise stripped away and Billy Preston's organ screaming away is killer.
  9. I still have my t-shirt I won from the pick 'em contest (back when you had to FAX your entries in...)
  10. Forgot to mention, their twitter feed (LINK) does a good job of updating locations in real time, and they also have a page where you can track via GPS (GPS LINK)
  11. Watch list? He's gonna be the next Secretary of State.
  12. I'm not gonna go CR either, but just google Sinclair Broadcasting and you'll get your answer.
  13. Well, if Sinclair just took over, I could see them either all getting fired or all quitting in protest.
  14. Can't get onto Facebook now to check his page, but Dale Dudley will definitely say something if there is something going on. If not on FB he'll mention it on his show tomorrow. Normally only listen on the way home, happened to click on the online stream, thinking they might be talking about the Guyger verdict, and I was like, who is this ass?
  15. Yeah, that UP 844 used to come down through Texas every two or three years, I've got some pics somewhere when it stopped in Taylor on the bridge over Hwy79/4th Street, 2012 I believe. The last time it came down, something happened with the diesel they had helping out, brakes failed I think and kept pushing the 844 after it stopped, ground down the wheels where they had to take a week or two to get them replaced. Never did make it back down through Taylor, turned around and went back home, I was pissed.
  16. Nice. I heard a snippet on their twitter feed, but glad to hear the entire thing. Enjoy this solo much better, the guitar tone anyway.
  17. Probably should go in Hobbies, but eff it, no traffic there (or mods move it if you need to). For all you other train nuts, Big Boy 4014 will be coming through Texas starting on Oct . 21, it'll be in El Paso until Nov. 1 but no public access the week before (maintenance I assume). Then traveling from El Paso to Houston over the next few days, then up to Hearne and northward on the way back to Wyoming. I'll probably drive up to Palestine and see it since that's a Saturday (usually UP brings their steamers through Taylor so I get a close up view but not this time, I has a sad...). Link to schedule is below. UP Steam Schedule
  18. Just saw a pic of her getting interview by one of the news channels for the 10pm news, that should be fun. jesus. Edit: well fuck, never hit reply, maybe somebody saw it...
  19. We've been to Cleburne and Meridian several times, loved them both, especially Meridian. Lots of camping and screened shelters right by the lake, ton of wildlife for the kiddos to look at (armadillos, deer, had a coyote walk down the fence line about 20 feet away from me, he didn't care), some good hiking areas as well and great lake for fishing or swimming. Cleburne used be really nice, had a general store where you could get supplies, ice cream for the kids, rented canoes, etc. Last time we went is was all shut down, don't know if they ever opened it back up.
  20. Yeah, lots of trips to top off my "coke" in my red solo cup. And don't let the little ones near my special "water" bottle...
  21. Not sure if you meant that you don't do camping there, but they definitely have camping. Probably my favorite part, swimming for a few hours, then head back to the campsite when it gets real crowded, grab a bite, maybe play some cards and have a few libations, then back to the pool when the crowd starts to thin out in the evening. And waking up in the middle of the night, looking up out of the skylight in the tent and seeing a billion stars is pretty cool.
