  1. It has to do with them being “not good”, unless we’re saying Texas is also not good. I already explained why I think the line looks about right.
  2. So they have the same number of wins of note as Texas?
  3. The Cubs really don't have room to do much. They're going to be well over $200m next year as is.
  4. I don't know of any P5 school other than Florida who played more than one FCS school and that was a weird situation with Idaho dropping down to FCS this season after the game was scheduled.
  5. Why? Who gives a shit if Alabama plays The Citadel (160th in Sagarin) or UTEP(188th in Sagarin)?
  6. It's easy. 1. Every conference agrees to play the same number of regular season games, with the same number of conference games and mandated number of games vs FBS opponents. Sorry SEC, we're reducing your ridiculous scheduling advantages. 2. The conferences don't want to give up the money which comes with CCG. Fine, every p5 conference play one, it happens already, and the champion is the guaranteed bid 3. 5 Auto bids to P5 conferences, 3 at large with 1 guaranteed to any non-P5 team who meets certain criteria (solves your UCF issue) 4. More destinations involved with playoff in different regionalities will help give back to the economies of places. Northern destinations need to be in a dome. Profit. It’s baffling how people refer to SEC scheduling advantages as if the conference/schools are doing something every other conference can’t. It’s not their fault if other conferences/schools shoot themselves in the dick.
  7. Big 12 Top 7 vs. SEC East by Massey Composite: 1. Oklahoma (6) - Georgia (3) 2. West Virginia (19) - Florida (12) 3. Texas (21) - Missouri (15) 4. Iowa State (32) - Kentucky (16) 5. Oklahoma State (48) - South Carolina (31) 6. TCU (54) - Vanderbilt (42) 7. Texas Tech (63) - Tennessee (62) https://www.masseyratings.com/cf/compare.htm
  8. I‘m curious how S&P+ does during bowl season vs. regular season. I would think not nearly as well because of all the factors in bowl season that it just isn’t set up to account for (coaches/assistants leaving or on their way out the door, players sitting out, teams disappointed in their finish/bowl who just kinda check out, etc.).
  9. And was something like 14th out of his 500-person pre-med class per the testimony today.
  10. An insanity acquittal doesn’t prevent the person from being removed from society for the protection of others. Andrea Yates is still locked away at the Kerrville State School 17 years later and her postpartum psychoses would seem significantly less likely to pose a future danger than this guy’s schizophrenia.

  12. Missouri’s Massey composite ranking is #15, OSU’s is #48. But for two pretty bizarre flukey losses to South Carolina and Kentucky, Missouri would be ranked #9 in the country while OSU lost to Tech (by a lot), Kansas State (by a lot), Baylor, and TCU.
  13. I hope the Royals adopt the strategy of pinch running him in the first few innings and just leaving him in from there.
  14. The wife doesn’t really like the beach but she fucking loves doing nothing on vacations. I will never understand spending money and dealing with air travel just to stay in bed until noon. On the bright side, it gives me a few hours to go do shit by myself that she wouldn’t want to do anyway.
  15. Being the party of racists is a feature to smax, not a bug
  16. If anyone I know went out of their way to praise a lying piece of shit "for being honest", I'd talk to them fuck ton more harshly than anyone has talked to you on here.
  17. Props for being honest? He's being bashed for blatantly lying. You really want to dap up a guy for whom intentionally poisoning his neighbor's dog barely cracks the top 10 of his most reprehensible qualities?
  18. Agreed. I liked it fine but it wasn't great.
  19. Bohemian Rhapsody is the biggest shocker for me. It was decently fun for the music and Malek's performance but as an overall film it was pretty bad.
  20. I think Christian's hangup with Alison is that she was Gabby's second-closest ally so it threatened his alliance. I think it was a mistake but Christian and Gabby to give up the David's number advantage last week but it doesn't even register among all-time stupid moves. She rightly concluded that if he alliance is excluding her from their plans, then they're not really her alliance. Maybe she wouldn't have been their first target but there was certainly nobody over there other than Christian interested in protecting her. I also don't think she made a mistake this week. You can't just hope to get big threats out later because the opportunity often doesn't wind up presenting itself. You have to take your shot when you can. It didn't work, but that doesn't mean it wasn't still her best shot at winning.
  21. Agreed. Obviously it didn't work out but she was completely right that she needed to make a move against him to have a chance of winning this game.
  22. FX has been showing movies like Wolf of Wall Street, Deadpool, Straight Outta Compton, etc. uncensored for a bit now.
