  1. If we get the Kentucky guy, do we get Daly for an extra metal well being year?
  2. I’ll never understand the excessive concern over the runner when you have two outs. Focus on and get the batter, they don’t score.
  3. I’m right here.
  4. Not real sure.
  5. Tennessee is likely #1, but it’s baseball so flip a coin on any given day. And Kentucky matched Tennessee’s conference record. Kentucky is not supremely talented yet they are competing and competing well. They don’t have tons of big arms or even big bats. They aren’t a typical SEC roster yet did well anyway. Texas as a program, on its surface, isn’t far off in spite of what people say or believe. We do need to get on with filling up the roster. We need about 3 freshmen and 3 transfers to be big contributors next year. A&M and UTenn separate themselves with depth - both in their lineup and pitching. You also see they both had some good fortune to win. That’s where we want to be but even the best Texas teams had some limitations at spots.
  6. The last Olinemen that Mack recruited who was drafted was recruited I believe in 2004. His last year was what 2013? In the final two games of Mack’s tenure here, our opponents had more interception return yards than we had passing yards. That was with a veteran line that had over 100 starts. That left the depth in the shitter. We were outscored what 60-17? And the defense played decently. He got a high school player of the year booed out of DKR. We can debate the merits of that player, but he did stick in the NFL a bit. He had a losing record 12 years into his tenure after a championship appearance. He left some parts but not a ton. We were closer to falling apart than recovery.
  7. I’m not doubting you.
  8. I might just hit Jac every time.
  9. That’s interesting. He’s got 7 guys with ERAs under 4. Lambkin is not 1 of those. UF has none, not including the dude that’s pitched 2.1 innings.
  10. I like to stay with the hot hand. They probably have enough depth that he can stick with their initial plan - whatever that may be.
  11. One time through the order I guess.
  12. Apparently you are more familiar with the Aggies ways than I am. It’s rare when I click on a link here to visit that site. But just so I’m clear when I stated that it was not a certainty we’d beat them a second time, is that being like them? The doom and gloom on this board started months ago when the team and season were often written off. And to hell with those that were positive.
  13. Does UF do anything well other than hit homers?
  14. Wasn’t this the year that we obviously win if we’re not up until 1 am playing baseball against west coasters?
  15. Yeah, I’ve believed this for years but never realized I was an Aggie because of it.
  16. Sorry for following the conversation. But yeah that was likely much easier than beating the Aggies 2 of 3. Interesting that claims of definitive losses equals acceptable commentary. Confidence unacceptable. Got it.
  17. You forget Flores with the all time year over year record for batting average increase. I made that up, but maybe it could be true.
  18. Guess the ignore function isn’t working. Think it’s fixed now.
  19. Sure. Sounds like change is coming. That’s fine if CDC warrants it. From whom did we adopt the whiny and defeatist attitude though? I’ve always been curious if this board is representative of our crowds. Lots of shit talkin here but mostly soft assed dudes roaming the stadium.
  20. Winning 9 of 10 Big 12 weekend series is not consistent? It was probably like 11 or 12 wins versus 2 losses I think. As I said I’m not sure we beat the Aggies but Ace and Andre give you a chance.
  21. Yeah Ace and Andre never get anybody out. We never win 2 of 3 in a series even though that’s what we’re best suited for doing. I am not sure we had anyone as good as the two 10+ ERA guys Oregon threw at the Aggies.
  22. If we beat them in 9, Andre is available. ULaLa was aided greatly by two hits in the 8th and one in the 9th with exit velos in the 50/60 range. I am not sure we beat the Aggies again. If we would have, Oregon wasn’t going to beat us 2 of 3.
  23. Those live amongst the peons, pissants and in BO&WS basement too.
  24. Well sure, but we didn’t have Witt and Quintanilla so role became more volatile and coming in before the 8th a time or two. It wasn’t drastically different but more was expected of him. He started the season fairly well then fell off.
  25. Then he led MSU in ERA at 2.66. Only 20 innings though. From my view, that wasn’t a development issue but rather the failure to define his role. The year before he was mostly a 9th inning guy with extended to 2 innings some. The next year he may come in earlier then when they tried correcting him it was more chaotic.
