  1. Isn’t that what you always do against a QB that can run?
  2. I guess WRs are not human and shouldn’t expect the same level of consistency from the QB.
  3. I think this one is vastly misunderstood if I’m interpreting it correctly. Years ago, it may have been a Brandon Jones/Haines hit and pick versus OU. People went apeshit about the non call on interference. I think the hit was before the pass or at least that was the interpretstion. You can’t grab or hold but downfield contact is acceptable assuming the ball is not in the air.
  4. From what I recall, only one of the OU penalties was during live action and that was caught on review.
  5. We’re a shitty fan base regarding expectations. With unreasonable expectations. But that’s all fan bases. At all levels really. People can be arrogant and shitty. Any reason sports fans are different?
  6. Decades? Prove it asshole. That is absolute horseshit. Get slorch out here too. He can discuss that non call on the punt return in 2008. Never mind that that game was blatantly in your favor.
  7. It’s all speculation. Throwing the ball high and wide in a condensed part of the field has all sorts of ramifications.
  8. You know he’s gimpy and not a great run blocker? That’s a good play no doubt.
  9. I don’t think there’s many dudes alive that catch that Sanders play for the pick.
  10. Some old yet fresh memories from OU games of the past. 2006. We won anyway, but there was a Tarell Brown play. The ref was 5 foot from him. Unobstructed. Brown was molested. No call. It just stuck in my mind. It didn’t matter but it’s certainly a recollection that OU was not concerned about repercussions. That was their mentality throughout the Stoops years. John Harris hold in probably 2014. Swoopes ran for 70 or so yards. Called back. Less blatant than hundreds of Sooner non-calls (and not just against us mind you). First half OU has one penalty on special teams. They had 28 yards. We had 11 penalties that day. OU 3. 2016. The game is back and forth. Interception. Just watched the replay again. Looks like a simultaneous catch. They give it to the defense/OU. Neither player can wrestle it away from the other but Foreman stands up with the ball eventually. It was on our sideline even. You can’t tell if the OU ever has two hands on the ball. Auston English hit on Colt. Ceedee falling on his butt and Roach tapping him and receiving an ejection. Murray putting his helmet on Sam’s chin yet nothing. Lots in 2021. Their two long runs with blatant holds at the point of attack. And of course the ineligible receiver non -call. I’m almost ready. Let’s maul them.
  11. Sarks home. Can’t advise you on how to pull that off though.
  12. I’ll whip your ass anytime. But no I don’t need my starting LT limping off the field with 4:38 left in a 38-6 game. He was the only starter on the Oline still in the game.
  13. My muscles are way too big to have an extra person or two squeezed in. People like us need all the space we can get.
  14. I believe this was very late in the game and no reason for him to be in the game. If we want to lose a game or two, it’s these types of decisions that will do it.
  15. When “Kept clean” Daniel Jones gets rid of the ball slightly quicker than Stroud this year. In roughly the same number of dropbacks, Jones has scrambled twice as much. He’s pressured 10 percentage points more often. As for the last game, Jones got rid of the ball in 2.13 seconds when clean. That was quicker than Stroud. And that likely is amongst the quickest you will see of anyone over the course of a season. He had one other game, maybe the 49ers, in which he got rid of it 2.08 when clean. The “when pressured” number is different because dudes who can move have a tendency to hold it longer. Jalen Hurts for example has higher times than Jones in each scenario. Bit Jones is higher than many here. Many QBs can avoid one rusher, but it’s the consistent pressure from guys 2 and 3 that create the biggest problems. The exception to that is guy 1 getting immediate pressure. As previously mentioned, the WRs arent running hard. It’s not talked about much but the WRs do impact the read. If your WRs don’t cause the D to react and the Oline opens instantly, good luck.
  16. On that fumble, if they get the backside blocked, he’s making a positive play out of it. Most of the time it was the 2nd or 3rd guy that got him. I’ll say it. There’s something there to work with. He’s had nothing but poor structure and poor Oline play since his arrival.
  17. No way you can judge Jones after that last night. Slide out of the pocket and hit Breida. He falls on his ass. He picks one snap off his shoes then immediately has pressure off his left side. Dodge 3 rushers, scrambles for 10+ plus and first. Holding. The pick was bad, but he and Campbell have only played 4 games together. It looked as though they weren’t on the same page. It was a bad decision no doubt. The pressure came off the edge. It came up the middle. It was consistent and constant. He was their leading rusher and 27-34. The RBs were 18-39. Towards the end of the game, it may have been Aikman that said the WRs don’t even routes at full speed. That’s very odd. Never heard that said in a broadcast.
  18. Funny how we went from they’ll screw both OU and us to now they’ll screw us. It would always be us if anyone.
  19. Ripping some dudes helmet off isn’t even subjective. Should be an unobstructed view. I’m not sure how you miss it.
  20. Well sure. Anything can happen. We didn’t play flawlessly yesterday and won by 26. I think Bamas opponents other than us but collectively finally scored more than we did. Ole Miss ran up 50 on LSU but only 10 versus Bama. Bama is good. Here’s what I’ve never seen in my 30 years of watching the Horns live. Never have I seen experimenting with defensive substitutions so early in games and early in the season. Our opponents have schemed to get one of our best players off the field. But it doesn’t help. So our dudes are competing for time. Every day. There’s likely no trap game by virtue of that. We can go heavy offensively and defensively. You have to hope your coaches have a great game plan. You have to hope you execute incredibly well. Then you have to hope offensively we are off. You will not have much room for error.
  21. You could play your best game of the season and lose by 2TDs. You can build it up however you like, but you’ve never played this Texas team.

Out of curiosity, what is his speed? I remember when Cedric Griffin and Michael Huff were sophomores. Point being, experience matters.
  23. If we win it all, it won’t be hard for me to argue against it.
  24. I’d say not so fast my friend on that national coach of the year.
