  1. I paid quite a bit of attention. See Arkansas for the safety issue. WVU hit Card late. Hurt him. No penalty. I was thinking they did review the BU punt block. But you left out the critical non-call of holding in BUs late TD drive. But for all that shit, OU got 1 dead ball penalty. And one hold near midfield that the whole world viewed and couldn’t be ignored. That was the worst officiated game that year. Also a team departing the conference. I just believe there’s is an anti Texas feel that is nothing new. Big 12 champ games versus OU. The 4th and 2 failure to call procedure. The hold then interference on LJH late that killed a drive. The Strong OSU game. The two Tom Herman OPI called on replays - never seen that anywhere else. I could go on. And part of this narrative is that OU got hosed last year. In 2021 OU game winning TDs should have come back versus Texas and Kansas. Key blocks at the point of attack. It is possible this bias kicked in one week after TX-OU or maybe it was before that but only Texas and then it was decided after the season to screw OU too.
  2. Poorly worded. Missed calls in favor of a non-Big 12 team over us to spite us. Same with the Arkansas reference. The conspiracy is less convincing because of that.
  3. Did it? There was considerable fuckery in 2021 in the Tx-OU game. But why choose one over the other? OU was called for 2 penalties for 15 yards. They trailed by double digits for an extended period of time. They had at least 3 TD drives with the most significant play a non call for what should been a penalty negating the play. Overturned a close call on the Brooks fumble. Didn’t even take time to fully review a close call incompletion/fumble. OSU at least got called for 7 penalties that same year. Arkansas. Big 12 refs favoring one SEC team over another? 3 non-calls on late hits or targeting. And I guess Big 12 guys would miss some big calls in Bamas favor. In my opinion, it’s just more of the same that crops up from time to time year over year.
  4. As there should be. Will you join in on that fun too?
  5. So did the person answer the question about who was looking good at Edge? Or was it a question who was looking to get playing time? Two very different questions. The response did not indicate Tapp looked good only that he was next on line for PT.
  6. The Big 12 isn’t kicking out draft picks like the SeC, but the 2022 was very good with 2023 a good follow up for the Big 12 particularly on defense. Texas high schools will produce enough talent. You just have to choose wisely and develop each players skills.
  7. This was the biggest miss. It was blatant and should have been easy. The linesman was relatively close. There wasn’t tons of action around the foul. It was a split second, timing play like PI. It wasn’t subjective. This is one that can’t be missed.
  8. My biggest concern with the Alabama game is the let down the week after we kick their ass.
  9. I’ll gladly take my guard 20 yards downfield making contact against a DB that’s giving a little ground. As for the Banks block, that S basically sacrificed himself albeit for nothing. Newsflash: Banks is better than Conner. This isn’t really a play I’d use to highlight that. This is best an example of a great play call given what the defense is running. Everybody’s job was easy.
  10. Just for fun I’d like point out in 2021 Baylor and OU combined for 3 penalties for 25 yards. And from what I recall any reviews went in their favor. That is odd for teams that trailed from minutes in until the 4th quarter. Not reflected on the stat sheet was the play in which our defender pushed the poor OU WR out of bounds prior to him converting the 3rd down pass. Or the failure to review an incomplete pass that resulted in an immediate recovery by us.
  11. Which was funnier last year or 2015 when it was 16-4, which also included not awarding a fumble to us?
  12. Well sure if they don’t suck. But last year they sucked. Or so I’ve heard.
  13. I did a little search here but did not find my answer. When someone gets credit for a takeaway, does it include fumbles caused if they do not recover it themselves? Obviously it includes interceptions. Presumably includes fumble recoveries.
  14. This cracks me up. Your top two dudes sit. Your 3rd guy is less than 100%. The bowl game didn’t mean much in the bigger picture. Whoever else you have has not played in games. Now it’s an early season practice. The top dog is out. It’s a practice. Here’s a shocker. Even if Keilan is 3rd team, he’s likely getting meaningful snaps with the first unit. He’s earned them in productive moments, gadget plays or not, but Sark giving him an additional nod is ok too. And those gadget plays will be more productive if Keilan can diversify the plays he can run. So practice those. With the guys that’ll be on the field with him. Now, if he gets the majority of carries and averages 2.5 per carry in the season, we got a problem. Who gives a damn who technically starts the games. We need each guy put in places and situations to produce. No need to worry about who runs out first.
  15. And I was just wondering when HenryJames was going to post again.
  16. Just kick the G5 out. No byes. I’d say no home games too. Unbalanced schedules leading to either byes or home games is too significant an advantage.
  17. If you want more eyes on your games, conference games starting the season is a good thought. It doesn’t create more losses. Pretty even playing field. Big 12 ought to do it.
  18. You should be a lot more surprised that Hutson ain’t even listed at C.
  19. You may be thinking of the lead up to the Cotton Bowl. Kwame, Humphrey and Jj Kelly were suspended. As for McGarity, he got injured in 1997 returning kickoffs. Terrible decision on Mackovics part.
  20. Didn’t Wane McGarity bang up a knee returning kicks in 1998? He was a can’t lose guy that year. Or perhaps I’m losing my mind.
  21. So he just needs to be tricked into thinking the season starts a month earlier.
  22. On the OSU game in 2011 versus Iowa State, there several points of note. It was a Friday night game at Ames. It was coming off the plane crash impacting their athletic department and 10 years after the previous plane crash. Then the late missed OSU FG. In watching the replay, you can’t tell jack about whether it was missed. At least not the replay I see. You’d think in certain conferences for certain teams that’s good given the importance. The Big 12 really has been one to shoot themselves in the foot.
