My point exactly. I cannot figure out a way to use words to change the minds of the anti-republic mob cheering their own subjugation.
The firehose of falsehood, a new term to me for what we've all observed*, has effectively destroyed argument/discourse. Total exposure of the wicked intentions of Trump and now his (vicarious led?) team have no impact. Our faith in transparency seems to be a quaint relic of the old republic.
I'm totally mystified trying to imagine a civil way to halt this dreadful change. Like others here, I begin to place my faint hope in the notion that the changes will be so devastating that the mob will leave their cult.
The thing is, I'm not conviced it's a personality cult. I think Trump is just the personifcation of deeply held foundational beliefs. The GOPs were afraid to say the quiet part out loud and didn't really need to. Their fear, IMO, was based on the mob rejecting openly racist fascism. Trump proves that they love it.
The Hate Cult won't die with Trump. I'll still be pleased when he's in the ground, but I don't think it will be the end of things.
*Wasn't it called alternative means or something like that? I couldn't find it on google, but it's been referenced here, and there's even a thread, I think. Anyway, firehose of falsehood will do.
