  1. They're going to destroy us on the lines of scrimmage. We've only beaten pulse-less offenses. We practically lost to Miss. State. Suddenly the SEC grind is a cakewalk. Oh, wait! Vandy and Kentucky may beat us. Florida just upsest UCF! The sips have three or four losses ahead of them starting with OU Georgia Vandy! It's a grind. It's a cakewalk. It's a grind! It's a cakewalk! Hi, Aggies
  2. Remove the check. It's no matter to me. They just seem more formidable than the dog shit around them in the polls. Mebbe I'm wrong.
  3. To be clear, I'm referring to the notion that we entered the SEC talking shit about what we'd do.
  4. Just looking at this top 25, there really aren't that many somebodies you can play. The checked teams would be credible wins, but the unchecked teams could drop out of or to the bottom of the top 25 if they lose one game. It's a strange year. Only a few teams, including us, have been consistently good. I include Ole Miss because I think a win over them means more than their ranking indicates.
  5. Aggies were originally celebrating Jerry World and that game as something that would at least equal the tradition of Texas-OU. Oops.
  6. These idiots read all the Aggie posts about us and somehow translated them to reality. T-sips are arrogant and cocky. They think they'll walk in here and run the place. Look out, the evil ones are here to toxify us all! Who has been talking shit? We were not and are not afraid. We've beaten Georgia and Alabama recently. I haven't heard much shit talk at all from Texas.
  7. I don't think "Snakey's" motivation was to save Texas. We were slumping more because of coaching choices than our conference. Clemson and Florida State don't play in prestigious conferences. They've done fine. We didn't really need "saving." The tectonic shifts that were imminent in college football dictated that a move would have to be made. Choosing the SEC as a landing place certainly had good effects on recruiting, but I think we'd be doing fine if we were in the BIG. The Aggie assertion that we were saved by the SEC is just a necessary thing they tell themselves because that's what they wanted the SEC to do for them. They remain who they are. We resume being who we've been.
  8. Congratulations on your confidence in your manly manfulness.
  9. Thanks for posting this. I hadn't noticed that he managed to turn over with the ball under control so that it wasn't on the ground when he slid out of the end zone. This and his wild courage and confidence fielding kicks has put him on the radar. Fabulous.
  10. Such confidence with such ability with such effort in every aspect of the game. Fantastic Longhorn.
  11. I've been writing letters to complete strangers trying to make them believe we're a juggernaut. I'm sure everybody else around here is making calls, writing letters, accosting people on the street, and blowing up twitter. Aggie lie: Becomes Aggie fact: Maybe you should tone down your office door.
  12. He is correct in that OSU means as much to OU as A&M means to us. He just got the "much bigger" thing wrong. 1. This is so important to them. It's almost as if they have no real identity otherwise. 2.
  13. I'm unpersuaded. I also know it's futile to try to persuade the boys will be boys crowd. You had me going there. Well done.
  14. I'm still able to be kind of shocked at things like that t-shirt. Maybe if you go to a party or something, but I can't help but think of older people or people averse to crudeness in general not being disgusted by that shirt in a very public place. While I'm shaking my cane at youth, I'll add that the Hot or Not thread is a pathology. Why photograph random women who are unaware that you are doing it then sharing your creepnity on Surly? I think it's wrong, to be honest.
  15. We've lived long enough to witness the co-opting of yet another widespread practice to become an Aggie tradition.
  16. Is the speaker related to John Stewart or maybe a clone? Either way, he's a great voice for his generation. This tape is valuable because it's expressed so well and I can't imagine anyone other than MAGAs not listening to him. Have I had my medicine yet? I really miss the tall blonde nurse who used to go everywhere with me. I was hoping to fuck her. I just shit. I thought it was a fart. Sad.
  17. Don't leave out the Anthropology Department! 1. This thread isn't a graduate thesis or dissertation. 2. I doubt anyone here would deny they're obsessed with the Aggies. I am. It's like knowing your stalker who thinks you, just by your choice of university, are effeminate, entitled, dishonest, toxic, and pretty much devil-spawn. Their obsession is different than mine. I don't sacrifice reality to it. 3. I'm actually careful about preferring to quote posts from AgTags or posts that reflect one of their parroted mantras about tu. You just about can't quote a single post on TexAgs that will not be duplicated multiple times by other Aggies. 4. Quoting the rare unique take on TexAgs is justified by it being absurdly funny or outrageously irony-deaf or just plain dumb. I've never seen such a post claiming, "this is proof of what they all think!" I also include Aggie posts that are smart or funny. The same posts are captured in @Longhornfrenzy's essential dragnets. 5. We generally recognize that those we ridicule are redass TexAgs rather than their growing percentage of 2%ers. 6. Back to the grad student thing. Grad student thinking and writing are high-end threats to language and thought to complement sportswriters'/sportscasters' low-end threat to same. Grad school seems to cultivate dry repetitive language used by students fearful of breaking the template. The endeavor to exercise the mind through freedom to pursue a single topic ironically forces most of those minds down a narrow road of ticket punching at the end of which they have a paper so dry and useless that it may as well turn to dust in the hand. Years of dedication to that seem to cause atrophy of the imagination, wit, and since of irony. Graduate student style writing (connectedness instead of connection, for example) is dead as shit when brought to either the public or private sector. It's maybe my main jihad as a professional. Don't let this happen to you. Written without rancor.
  18. Fucking stalker: Imagine making the absurd claims that Texas recruits and develops OL well or that Missouri shouldn't have been in the top 10. Clearly a sip troll. Maybe even a t-shirt t-sip who doesn't merit consideration when he tells the truth. To criticize Aggies you must be an Aggie. If you're an Aggie and you criticize Aggie, then you're not a true Aggie. That's the kind of approach that ensures great success in the future!
  19. I don't care that much, but I decided to try to run down the source. Eli cited OSint. OSI cited the Times of Israel and Kyle Bass: The Times of Israel seems to be a reputable news source, however several different searches there revealed no article about this. Kyle Bass is a financial guy who didn't have a source. It looks to me like Imperial Israel apologists are trying to make up shit to mitigate the crime of using high explosive bombs on civilians. If I'm wrong, I welcome correction.
  20. Money bad. Walking the walk good. Money good. Hit portal hard. This guy even gets points for the emoji. And this guy. * "I hope!" Plenty of chatter among the tireless parrots of TexAgs who all have buddies close to the tu program and have all the inside poop about the culturally soft, entitled, arrogant disarray just waiting to undermine the sips because of their drunk coach. Sippy hasn't faced adversity such as we did against Bowling Green and Notre Dame. There were 85 seniors on that Bowling Green team! 85! We're finding ways to win while they're...well finding ways to win, too. Anybody else smell fear and idiocy? I don't want to think ahead to our game with them because it also means the end of the short CFB season, but we will murder them.
