Further, those words have been tuned out. Weird is props up the ears of the attackers and the defenders. It's also, like using irony, difficult to fend off. Trying to prove you're not weird just makes you appear weirder. It's dismissive and evokes laughs about whomever has been so pronounced. "Weirdo. Come at me, bro!" -

Vance looks and sounds like a vice presidential candidate of some political party started on line from somebody's basement. Hear hear. I disagree. I agree, but I would add that they stopped running on policy during the Reagan years. Their policies were shit when it came to controlling spending and reducing the size of government. They started running purely on hate for the illusory liberals determined to destroy Holy America. It was surely part pandering, but the emotion that drove the votes was hate. The gun thing fits in with the hate fear that you won't be able to protect yourself from the lib government that will move against you. Their policies for what they say they stand for never work. They run on hate, and, when elected, claim they were elected for love of policies that serve only the rich and their own will to power. Their voters never caught on about the poicy and were addicted to the hate anyway. -

By doing so, they think they're being either very polite or very clever. DEI so much better than the N-word! We care! Hee hee, it's such a subtle way to subliminally remind people of Kamala's race! -

Thanks for posting this. I started it then thought it might be too long. I skipped to about minute 10 and couldn't stop watching it. I expected to feel rage, but instead feel profoundly sad and sympathetic. Don't get me wrong, the perpetrators belong under the jail or at a whipping post and I could order either in cold blood. I can't have cold blood thinking about the bullying depravity of procuring girls (the victim says maybe one of the girls at these orgies was 16 and most were under 15) for the rich to excercise their predatory prerogatives. It's sad what men are capable of. I'm saddened by how thin the veneer of civilization usually is. Women are schooled in this on a regular basis. Preying on the physically weaker is the antithesis of being civilzed. Of course, the sympathy is for the woman on camera requires little explanation. She's articulate even though, apparently, her education stopped early due to this trauma. She is not histrionic which I admire. She seems to be a woman of beauty. Any enjoyment of those traits is attenuated by ongoing terror of Trump and the shameless, heartless damage done to her done as a girl of 13. She was already afraid of Trump who turned a fantasy rape agreement into the real thing. Now she fears retribution. Even so, she came forth to warn her country. I believe every word I heard from her. At this moment, it's more sad than outrageous that tens of millions of Americans basically worship the rapist even in the knowledge that all of this evidence exists. We Americans are not the people we like to think that we are. Right now, I feel like the good cop who won't be moved to do more to stop the bad cop. I wish I could have magically appeared at the moment Trump crosses the line. But heroism or just action is never so simple. -

I hope the Aggies see this. They'll explode. tu calling itself an Ivy League school! They're not Stanford. These kids get taken in by the hype and glitter. tu has always been about appearances.* I bet a lot of these kids change there minds about tu when they loose to us at Kyle. *I always think of appearing in championship games, winning major bowls, and generally just being more apparent than Texas A&M University Home of the Fightin' Texas Aggies from Texas. HOWDY! -

He hits the faves in this one: Only lacks a like no one ever seen before. I overestimate the herd sometimes. I would go crazy listening to his severly limited vocabulary and repetitiousness. Everybody is crazy, failed, low-ratings, nasty, a disaster like no one has ever seen before. I guess they're already brainwashed. Overuse words and they lose meaning. Perhaps MAGAs just hear "liberal socialist" when Trump says those words. Weirdos. -

He'll show up. Old men get lost sometimes. Bless his heart. I hope Donald's bone spurs haven't flared up again. It can happen late in life. I hope he shows up, I want to hear about the sharks and batteries and whatever Hannibal Lector is up to. I'm sure he's not scared of me. I wonder why he isn't here. Unusable: He's a caring man. He probably stopped to visit Ivanna's grave at the golf course where he buried her. Did you check the bathroom? He might be reorganizing all those boxes. -

They had to go a long way to find something only remotely connected to Harris. Radical pastor, whom they quote: There can be little question about the evil in that. Cover the ears of the children! Here at the Free Beacon, we never editorialize in a news story! First, you set up my reaction for me. Then you present the crime of asking a legit question even though the taste in his timing is questionable. He questioned Holy America. Radical! Questions why US didn't show up at a conference on racism. It's not a hard question. We elected a racist 8 years ago and have a party of racists now. They didn't just spring out of the ground. There's a reason the subject makes us uncomfortable and it's not anti-semitism towards Israel. Talking about reparations that were promised and denied is "radical?" It's controversial, but hardly radical. He declares America a racist country. Then they get to the reason for this stupid article, "She's like that other radical negro who hates America and isn't even an American! Tan suit! Tan suit! Tan suit!" We start with people being offended. It's their right. Then we quote some guy calling the pastor un-American. Well this just may sink Kamala backing up this radical America hater with whom she is so close. OH WAIT! It's unclear whether Harris was or even is aware of the remarks! Then why write and publish the article you anti-republic dickheads who worship a false god who would wish he had an iota of the quality of the radical pastor if he gave a shit about actually having any worthwhile qualities? I just don't get why Black people are so hung up on racism. -

I won't presume to know what persons of color like in particular, but attendance at the Yee-Haw! Negro Outreach Event seems to indicate that this ain't it. The country is so poloarized. Everyone around you says it is.

It's that part of GenX and other non-boomers that aren't easily hoodwinked. They don't give reverence on no basis. This non-boomer perspective is more promising for the future. I'm tied to belief and echoes of belief in things that need questioning or don't really exist at all. There are still areas of life where my will to believe something and sadness that the belief may be ill-placed influence my perspective. It's unavoidable for me.

It's that simple. They've set the frame that Trumpists are weird, so that's what a lot of people will see when it presents itself. It's like the illusory ebil lib Rush and the boys invented except that this frame is based in actual truth and easily observed evidence. I would one day like to know the coordination of this wave of new Dem speakers who are moving to the front. To what degree, if any, was it planned to frame the Trumpists this way and using what language. If it is planned, it's brilliant. If it's not planned, it's brilliant. -

Regarding Walz with Stephanie Ruhl (who wouldn't want to be in a room with her?): I was reminded of Washington when Walz articulated concisely what Biden's act of handing over power meant in terms of who we are. I have a thing for George Washington. He had people whom he owned and put to slave labor. Terrible. He did arrange to free them. Mildly mitigating? It's not for me to decide that. In Cincinnatus, Gary Wills' book about Washington and the Enlightenment, Wills writes that Washington was the most famous and revered man in the Western World. Statues of him were erected all over the place, often on columns. Washington is not portrayed as a general. He is in elegant mufti (a word I love) or civilian dress. He is most often portrayed extending a scroll. Washington was a hero for handing over the power and leadership of the state. I hadn't thought of just how breathtaking that is in a world of kings and queens and sultans. We, up until the last time, have taken pride in the peaceful turnover of office ever since. Well, those paying attention have. Lyndon Johnson did it but the consequences were not so grave. I quibble with why LBJ did it, but that's for another time. Biden seeing the fate of the nation in balance and knowing that he had won a victory against the anti-republican hate cult was ready to enter battle again confident that he could rise to the occasion again. When urged by people he trusts, he handed off the lead to Harris. It is an act more famous and worthy than winning a presidency. Joe Biden is a great man. -

Is there anything more masculine than seeking to dominate women by calling on oppressive legislation and oppressive religious cults? How weak of man are you to: Fear domination by others and fantasize about dominating a woman or anyone else? Patheticially call for outside help to do so? Fear getting to know women? Women are generally nice. Smile and talk to one of them. Your terror will subside as you get to know one. You'll find that in many ways you are her equal, maybe. Then I get to dominate them? Only by means of force (doubtful in your case) which decency, your god, and the law, which makes us civilized, forbid. I know it hurts your head, but think of this as though the positions were reversed. Oops, I forgot, your terror lies in the situation being reversed. Never mind that. Still, abandon thoughts of domination. Maybe try persuasion with women. Look it up in the dictionary and practice, practice, practice. Respectfully, I hate defeatism in this form. Let's not even try because likely the effort will fail. The same was said about investigating or prosecuting Trump. An investigation won't do anything. He'll never be prosecuted. Even if he is nothing will happen. Further, there were those who said the same thing about impeachment of Trump. He won't be convicted and expelled, so why bother? Things have been achieved by all of those actions. All the shit Trump has done is in the record and public. The Jan 6 Congressional Investigation brilliantly collected and presented evidence. That result alone made the effort worthwhile. The same with the prosecutions: they lay out the crimes of this swine. Here, we even got convictions. Push the Amendment. At worst you lose, but nobody dies. At best, you put an end to using the law to threaten the republic and citizens. -

I can't even identify their problem with it. Could be a better length, a little shorter. Is it a bare shoulder? These attacks are so silly and obviously racist that I wonder if their voters are suddenly experiencing the malaise we were. With this shit, they make themselves more laughable as the pro-republic movement has learned to attack. -
Solid effort. It's not a shoot-em-up and the lead is the female, Vivienne, rather than Viggo. Vivienne is written, directed, and performed quite well. I like that Mortensen use dialogue for people to announce who they are. Their identities play out through action and the faces of the actors. It will be too slow if you're looking for an action picture. The story is good with a few problems. I think there's a problem with the story arc. It seems that filmmakers start off being good at either scene creation or story sense. Think of it as tactical versus strategic. Scene creators make people believable and interesting, but the story becomes tends to drift. Story people know how to plot and get tempo, but often their characters are shallow and the dedication to plotting doesn't allow much breathing space for good human moments. Clearly, Viggo is of the first type but he's learning the other side. It's not easy to balance all the shit it takes to make a good film. This is a good film, not a great one.
