  1. I know! Let's call up Penn State and Notre Dame and Missouri Miami and see if they'll stand in for Florida, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt. If we drummed those asses, they'd say that was proof our schedule was weak. Did they say this when Alabama was crushing just about everybody? No. They're sportscasters too dull to come up with their own ideas so they just parrot what they hear. I doubt it's anti-Texas bias. They're just stupid. ETA: It is a weird year in CFB. It's hard to tell how good anybody is even this late in the season. We probably deserve to be #1, but I'd be fine anywhere in the top 4. As far as quality wins, the sports idiots can only hold one thought in their minds at a time. "Texas win over Michigan doesn't look so great because Michigan is not what they were." Michigan is not elite this year. True. But look at how Texas won at Michigan. No team has totally dominated them in every phase. Michigan has won all their other home games and lost by only ten to Washington at Washington. They're not shit particularly at home. They may not be as good as a senior laden MAC contender that only lost to Old Dominion at home by three, but they're pretty good. Obviously Missouri would crush them in the Big House. Making it look easy doesn't mean it's easy for everybody.
  2. Fuck Ronald Reagan for That's pretty much only if you're running a sweatshop or have a pipeline of toxic waste going straight into the river. Or, you're rich and don't want to pay taxes.
  3. I think the general consensus was that Notre Dame was overrated because they struggled against a barely ranked team that never wins anything. Nobody gave a shit about the Aggie future this season. They were living down to expectations. In other words, three shitty teams. They're doing push-ups, watching film, going to practice, and whipping the likes of desperate Florida and a shitload of seniors playing for Bowling Green! Culture! And the messaging! Don't forget the messaging! William is en fuego, cabrones! Gameday was there! All of the college football world was fascinated and on edge. Would a team a cunt hair from being among the ARV (did no one recognize that the Aggies had beaten a team with lots of seniors from the MAC?) and a Missouri team nobody cares any more about than they do the Aggies: a match up made for football lovers! 1 Don't let that stop you, William. 2 All anyone could talk about after Saturday was A&M thrashing Missouri. Were there any other games that day? 3 The world was rapt. 4 They were newly ranked after the game not before it William. You really ought to let your mom proof this stuff. 1 That sounds so much better than 15th ranked. Slick William. Also, again, the Aggies weren't raised to that lofty position until the next day. 2 The Mormon National College Football Voices Choir was in great form that Saturday. 3 Take some breaths, William. Tell us again about the Bowling Green seniors! The Gators are so good now that it was an upset that they beat UCF! Notre Dame, whom y'all despise as criminally overrated, has leapt back into the top ten despite losing to NIU! (I guess opinions have risen about ND's early games, too.) Missouri's drop to #21 means they're still pretty dang great! It certainly isn't a reflection of how badly they are judged for getting beat by you. As for the rest, you win, William. I can't get through the whole article. Scratching surfaces, repeating the Missouri score, beating your chest about what you've "been saying all along," it's just too much. Have a nice night, and why don't you make breakfast for your mom for a change? She'll think it's Mother's Day.
  4. Not generally. I think we've all met people we were shocked were Trumpists. I can still be surprised by the vomit they will lap up thinking it's truth. Perhaps you can argue that someone self-immunized against rational argument based in shared reality are effectively stupid. It's the self-inflicted part that can still cause an eyebrow to rise.
  5. I have a family member who is anti-vax and was a listener to Alex Jones for a long time. The main thing I pick up from observation is the keen need to feel like you're smarter than everyone else. You're a seer among fools. That may be it for some of the otherwise intelligent people who fall into this vortex of deceit. The rest are crazies and morons.
  6. This feels kind of obscene. No likey. But thanks for posting all of these, @brakeman
  7. Steven, what about Woodward's ratings? Tell us how his ratings are in the dumper. If you're gonna go full Trump, go full Trump.
  8. Grave consequences should this happen. I guess us winning fair and square will turn the rest of the SEC into Aggies. Or, maybe they'll just be annoyed that we won and look to knock us off next year. You know, like regular fans everywhere.
  9. Misdemeanor? Was it just a bit of a tussle or are the charges being reduced because he does the football for them Dawgs?
  10. Yep. Wacker seemed like a good man and a really good football coach.
  11. Also, I noticed back in the day that teams usually managed to schedule a then putrid TCU or a bye week before playing us. It backfired when TCU under Wacker become good.
  12. I just made my second visit there in two day. Today's treat was four pages of gay bashing on the thread (started by an Aggie, of course) about how Texas's schedule may be more difficult than previously thought. One of the parrots must have escaped TexAgs. It's a brutally mind-numbing website to read. Another thread has an Aggie gloating that Gameday chose OSU-Oregon over Texas-OU. Surely a season of this will further reveal to the SEC what a weird bunch of obsessives populate the internet with Aggie avatars. I'l go back for specific topics, I guess, but it's even dumber than TexAgs.
  13. *I've read several dozens of posts on the internet written by people with buddies close to the tu program.
  14. The Aggies are also still talking up Bowling Green as the best at their level.
  15. It's not for me to decide what offends Black people. What they say goes. My own opinion from looking at the picture is that the costume is not degrading. He's not dressed and made up like a minstrel from a minstrel show. I'm not sure you can even accurately call that "blackface." Of course, the NYT goes to scholars and historians for context and possible reactions of other people. I guess, in an ideal world, this story should say the guy dressed up as Michael Jackson and then let the picture explain what that looks like. Declaring it "blackface" is editorial and somewhat inflammatory. That's not the NYT's job. Instead of waiting to see how the Black community might react, we get the editorialized report and a panel of academics. The reporters don't even need to leave the office.
  16. Not sure where to put this, but I think I might get some responses here. On TexAgs, they linked to Coaches [sic] Caviar for an interesting breakdown of film from their game. Here it is: LonghornScott used to do these for Texas games and they were great. i don't really see much detail while watching a game. This is pretty good for people like me. A&M's OL is pushing Missouri off the ball regularly and executing their blocking assignments quite well. I'm fairly certain that this says as much about Mizzou's weakness as it does about the Aggies' strength. Mizzou looks small and lackadaisical in reaction. The narrator admires Klein's scheming very much. I can just see everything is working. I'd like to hear more learned opinions.
  17. #7 In the Nation! * *According to somebody unknown to us and the world outside of TexAgs.
  18. Oh my. I thought we were talking about Texas: The road through Mississippi is rocky and full of potholes. Nary a quality loss to be found in that cruel state. This is just plain unique to Aggies and pathetic as hell: People love and admire us!
  19. You can't even parody this delusion. The whole flock of parrots are swirling joyfully in the sky. Their victory is making them feel superior again. Suddenly their possession of that SEC patch has value again! Vandy and Ark have had theirs even longer. Now all three get mentioned in the same breath as fucking Georgia. t.u.'s victory over Michigan means nothing and is evidently of no greater value than A&M's quality loss to ND who then lost NIU. Missouri will forever be the ninth best team in the nation this year. Mark it down and ignore the rest of their season. Upset weekend (there's a reason they're called upsets, you know) has established a new world order where suddenly Texas, who wasn't upset and didn't even play, is greatly diminished.
  20. Yes. He didn't realize how much all opponents and especially the rivals get up for their games with Texas no matter our current capabilities. Now that we're ranked high, he can be sure that will be the case. A key element in dealing with that is a really good defense which we appear to have. Dicing up Arkie and A&M would be a near erotic experience. I don't mention OU because those two teams aren't in their weight class.
  21. Missed his nostril and damn near put his eye out.
  22. If Weigman survives the season, they're a pretty good team it looks like. I don't know how many competent passing teams they play, but I think we'll feast on their secondary. Missouri had guys open most of the game or at least the first half.
