  1. Remember all the tweets and memes like this we do about the Aggies when we win national championships? Of course not. This is pure Aggie projection. It's how they've lived their whole life in out shadow.
  2. Exquisite. Compliments. Years ago I read a narrative about the time Texas rushed the field at Kyle and were attacked by the corps. It was a battle to defend the field. The account included breathless accounts of different units rushing to different spots to repel the invaders. I'm serious. The memorable passage came when the Corps had started securing the field and received word (I. am. not. kidding.) that the artillery battery was in danger of being "overrun." Brave Aggie soldiers, exhausted from desperate battle, raced to the rescue and saved the guns. I think it may have been hidden since then. I probably read it on Texags in the early 2000s. Oddballs all.
  3. Ironically, their diploma mill may work out for them. Redass Old "army" Aggies will lament that the "culture" and spirit of Aggieland is going to hell as two-percenters keep graduating with pride in being two-percenters. Over time, these none redass Aggies will be great enough in number as to start making A&M more normal. Rising oceans and profound changes in climate will likely come first, but it could happen over time. With more control, the two-percenters will no longer want to be embarrassed by their alma mater. They change the culture. They start winning things. All the Ags we despise now will not be able to enjoy it because Sully is gone, Black people come in greater numbers, and nobody uncovers anymore. It could turn into a normal rivalry without the added Aggie jihad.
  4. I'm imagining Aggie angst leading into this final championship game. Any fan would be anxious-elated-worried at the same time. Now magnify that through the lens of going more than a lifetime without a national championship (natty for any losers reading). Then, breakout the biggest magnifying glass known to man. Imagine your entire identity is tied up in your school. Imagine your entire sense of self-worth is based on the religious belief that you are special because you are an Aggie. Imagine that your major sports teams never win anything. A win will solidify their notion that they are the best people at the best school anywhere. A loss confrims what they know and never admit; their traditions, culture, lying about how honorable they are, and ridiculous claims to greatness are the Aggie joke. Either way, it's pitiful. RomaVicta, are you obsessed with the Aggies? I am with the redass ones as I would be with a delusional stalker constantly shouting that I am the source of most of the evil in the world and proclaiming his superior manful manliness. I can't help but pay attention. Then there's the whole anthropological aspect. Yes, I have a bit of an obsession.
  5. It's also worth noting that the first reaction of Longhorns was sympathy and horror at the deaths of those students. Then the Aggies quickly built the absurd myth that they died as heroes of the Spirit of Aggieland. By, as jimmyjazz says, refusing to find accountability and making the whole mess some sort of holy event, Aggies decided to use the accident as PR for what a special place A&M is. By so doing, Aggies made the event fodder for ridicule. Aggies are sick fucks. That's all you know and all you need to know.
  6. You'd think they are dressed that way because their team is in the CWS finals, but, no, they dress like that all the time.
  7. It was the final and best distillation of Hornfans. Don't forget LonghornScott's film breakdown. It was excellent. I was a fanboi.
  8. Yeah, but it's usually limited to describing women who aren't actually ugly.
  9. If I were king, no person could use incredible or amazing to describe anything ever. This literally means the opposite of what he intends. Ironically, it's also literally likely to be true. Pet peeve. I'll leave it at that.
  10. And wideshots of the field between plays so you could see where the ball was and maybe watch a little body language.
  11. Exactly what did you use to lure him from TCU? Did he come down from Fort Worth for the Aggie Spirit and the traditions? More from the classiest fans anywhere: Are you including your senior quarterbacks? Just checking. Cue the drama queen: After the Aggies have started multiple threads filled with speculation, false bravado, fear, and pants-shitting, there's this: You don't understand shit.
  12. Soooo classy and honorable: It's actually an honest example of the Aggie jihad mentality.
  13. No shit, W. If I were having a beer with you on the porch, which everyone says would be a great experience, what do you say about Donald? What do you think your silence does? The one above that is inapt. It's on the right side, but the statment and cartoon aren't really what is being discussed and demeaned. The one with the Ten Commandments is the very opposite. Apt and poignant. Thanks, @brakeman, for publishing the whole spectrum.
  14. Thanks. I have no memory of the process. After pulling Augie Garrido, Pierce seemed strange to a person only casually following.
  15. I just remembered that the classiest fans in the world with the greatest homefield advantage in history disgruntled Schlosnagle. From 2023, On3 Looks like the dickheads who made themselves famous this year at the CWS are not the exception.
  16. Why didn't we get one these guys before? Aggies say they turned us down flat, but we know how credible that is. I don't want to derail the thread, but some explanation would be most welcome.
  17. The general idiocy and Texags delusion need no highlighting. Below is the succinct example: They hyperventilate about how much we envy them etc. The usual projection. They get themselves all worked up and then say it's a "tu distraction." Nobody from Texas has said anything or posted on that thread.
  18. Their entire fanbase needs to breathe into a paper bag for awhile. They really got us with the real UT thing. I can hardly stand it. I may die in the coming days.
  19. [I see @hpslugga anticipates my post with better information. Compliments.] Dad, who went to SMU when Walker was there, said that Layne and Walker were great friends and planned to play together at Texas. There was something about taking the train to Austin. Walker never showed up, he was intercepted by SMU somehow. I think it's mildly interesting that he and I attended college when probably their best player ever was on the team. Doak Walker for him and Earl Campbell for me. There was also the great connection when Ricky became close friends with Walker. Dad was a Longhorn, but the woman who would become my mother was going to SMU. He had interesting memories. One was that Texas had been great in 1941 before stumbling against Baylor (tie) and TCU loss. Texas dropped from #1 to #10 then destroyed the #2 Aggies 23-0. The last game of the season was Oregon. On Dec 6. The news was all about Pearl Harbor so only the score from the game was listed in the Port Arthur paper. Texas 71-Oregon 7. Dad assumed it was a misprint. Nope. Texas came out angry and stomped those Ducks.
  20. This will be interesting to watch. That F-16 turned out to be a great plane. Go Ukraine!
  21. I wonder how many proponents of posting the Ten Commandments can cite them. Seriously.
  22. It's a circle not a line. Monarchy > Anarchy > Democracy > Monarchy... The Greeks of antiquity were very wise. Of course, I never believed it would appy here. [BUZZ!]I'm sorry, Mr. Victa, your answer is incorrect. The same people denying reality and embracing a crazy, dangerous alternatuive also embrace this shit. I didn't remember who Laura Loomer was, so I googled her and looked at the wiki page. I thought the below was amusing. Careful, MTG, or you'll be the next target of the Jewish space lasars!
