  1. Ryan day has never lost 3 games in a season as a head coach. Not once. Competing for titles is the requirement when you spend $20 million. Sark probably won’t win one but he should be there to have the chance almost every year. Barring some injuries and horrible luck he should do what Ryan day has done, 5/7 years and that’s with Michigan cheating their balls off.
  2. This is where the NIL world gets silly, in my opinion. If Texas is willing to pay wingo sum A and he wants to be at Texas then he should sign. The issue is his agent floats that sum around and some random school that has saved up money for a wr throws out sum B then it’s in Texas’s corner to match or pass. It’s nonsense but ultimately will probably workout for Texas more often than other schools who are less rich. I may not be understanding it correctly though tbh.
  3. Wisner was the 12th best sec rb this year, imagine if Texas had gotten a good rb instead of relying on him and Baxter. I’m betting a really good rb rushes for 150 yards on his own in that Ohio state game which changes the whole game entirely. Sark is a numb nuts for the failure in the rb and OL rooms.
  4. The recruiting board turning into a quasi football board has been a hilarious development this last week or two.
  5. Texas should get use to losing 3 games in the “bad years”….ooof…with a $20 million roster? You can’t really believe that huh? If they are really committing that kind of money then you gotta make the 12 team playoff every year. Win a title is where it gets hazy because I don’t think he’s capable but missing the playoffs with the resources Texas has is a failure and dumb. One good rb that can carry a team during droughts and Texas beats Ohio state and Florida, it’s just evaluations. Sark sucks at it or his staff sucks at it which mean he sucks at being their boss.
  6. Ryan day was on the hot seat for not beating Michigan which coincidentally got caught cheating their balls off during his drought against them. I hope sark mimics his offseason moves. Find a great rb, get a game changing wr and shore up the OL but I don’t see it. I’m clearly a minority here so I’ll stop this banter.
  7. Starting with a trash OL is what I’m talking about here in regards to Sark’s abilities , but the argument isn’t sark can’t win 9 or 10 games. The argument is sark has all the tools to be Kirby smart or Ryan day but in year 6 he doesn’t seem to be capable of that. If you spend $15-$20 million a year then you gotta expect to win a title or be in the running to win it. I guess I’m looking at it all wrong. Ignore me and I’ll hold my opinion until December of 26.
  8. Being a fan only affects me on Saturdays. I missed my Christmas wish but gee golly I wish I was more like you @TrashMaster G and fun to be around. If being practical about who sark is makes me a bitch then it is what it is. You can keep sucking that “we’re Texas” dick year after year. One title in 55 years shit for brains.
  9. I understand your point here but @immamac made a counterpoint about this type of thinking. In the NIL era with Texas’s massive budget and branding the coach doesn’t have to be Saban anymore to get the most talent in the country. He just has to not be a moron, seriously. Ryan day isn’t a savant. He had the best wr’s and two stud rb’s plus a talented defense and won a title with will fucking Howard at qb. Sark can absolutely turn the roster into a championship winning team but based on past failings at evaluation that seems highly unlikely.
  10. All in lol. 3 DB’s, one all American LB and an edge. 2 OL, 2 rb’s and somehow a wr who “knows how to play wr”. That’s what arch needs Texas to replace for next year. Shit ton of starts between those guys that are leaving. Let’s say muschamp is so damn good, at 55 after taking a year off, that he makes the defense shine despite breaking in 5 starters and teaching a new scheme. The confidence that sark has a plan in year 6 that changes the narrative he created in the previous 5 years is wild.
  11. If I search JS1 in gifs this should pop up lol. That gif is your spirit animal.
  12. I don’t think anybody will debate that sir, but who is turning wingo into a “actual wr” on this staff? I’m not against Wisner leaving or Wingo staying but I feel a sense here that we are hoping sark has this all figured out and the roster will be better come February. That’s laughable.
  13. If he ever learned to play wr…what a hell of a statement. I get there’s a small sliver of upside to him but “we’re Texas” counts for rb but not wr? If we are going to magically pull out our wallets and completely fix the rb room then I don’t think it’s a stretch to tamper a wr to the portal that already knows how to play wr. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills saying we just need a wr1 that knows how to play wr. What a strange world.
  14. How much does wingo make? If we think rb’s are a dime a dozen then wr’s can’t be that much different.
  15. That doesn’t sound like “they have a better rb lined up”. That sounds like a mercenary move and now sark has to go find a good or at least decent rb to replace Wisner and find a stud to carry the offense. This will be fine. Muschamp will fix it.
  16. I went looking for shepherd. If you get a chance take a look at the butler CC football roster. It’s worth the time lol. They absolutely dominate the first team All name award. DeColdest showed back up, there’s a Yusef and a kid named Cape (can’t make that shit up). Brahim, Jakeyse and Tieon…all first names haha.
  17. Defensive End Brian Orakpo Sam Acho Nose Tackle Roy Miller Tackle Lamarr Houston Defensive End Eddie Jones Henry Melton Outside LB Rodrick Muckelroy Middle LB Rashad Bobino Outside LB Sergio Kindle Keenan Robinson Cornerback Deon Beasley Curtis BrowN Free Safety Earl Thomas Cornerback Chykie Brown Nickelback Curtis Brown Aaron Williams that 2008 defensive roster was pretty loaded, I don’t think the 2026 depth chart can compete.
  18. Randomly watched a YouTube reel about top 10 colleges with most nfl players all time. Notre dame was first with 644 players. USC, Ohio state, Michigan, Alabama, LSU, Penn state, Georgia, Oklahoma and Florida complete the list in that order. 644 nfl players is a lot. Texas is behind Florida by 10 or so I believe.
  19. Herman had all those qualities without winning a title. Now that I’m done typing that out….
